I purchased a BG brushed brass double socket with usb port. I had this installed in my kitchen. Last week, I switched off my kettle from the socket, and all of a sudden there was a very bright spark loud noise and awful smell. I was very shaken by this. I called the electrician who said the socket is faulty. He checked the kettle which was fine. I paid £120 plus vat for the call out and replacement socket. I contacted Luceco they offered a replacement socket which I refused as I do not wish to use BG products again. I asked for a refund and told them about my electrician bill. They were not interested. I am very disappointed as this incident was a health and safety breach, it could have resulted in an electric shock.
Luceco advised me to go to the supplier. I will be contacting Amazon. I have had to pay £120 plus vat through no fault of my own. Luceco should take responsibility take the socket investigate where the problem lies and cover my electricians fee.

Bought a sync ev car charger, menu on app is cumbersome and difficult. Regular issues with car not charging. Charger will no longer connect to app, customer service useless, will not reply to emails, avoid this company at all costs

This review is about Luceko Lamps who are a different company to Luceco who were very helpful when I called in error.

This is the worst company I have ever dealt with. Do not believe anything on their website. These products are shoddy and come from China. There is nothing Italian about their design! I waited nearly 4 weeks for a delivery. I tried to cancel the order 10 times via email but got zero response. There is no phone number for customer services so once in the system there's no way out. I have received the lamps - cheap, flimsy metal, with very little light. I have no way of returning them as they don't respond to emails. I have just about given up. I have never felt so ripped off. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY.

Poor quality. Seem to be a group whose members sell poor quality Chinese products.

If I could give o stars I would. They have never responded to my message about a damaged shade for the lamp I ordered

Shoddy and disrespectful treatment I just got from the technical helpline. I rang for advice about my Masterplug ev 13a charger socket melting the timer it was plugged into and I got the reply that I “shouldn’t need to be told” that it can not be run through a timer plug. The inference being that it’s common sense. It is not! And that operator should have apologised when I pointed this out. He did not!
Goid product however, even though the customer service was pants

I bought a gold modern table lamp in November. I charged the lamp but it didn’t work, even after buying a replacement globe. I sent videos of the lamp not working, including evidence that once unplugged after fully charged, there was no power. I finally received a reply advising a replacement would be sent out in due course, as there was currently no stock, but gold modern lamps are still advertising see as being for sale with quick delivery date. Service is appalling. Avoid this company; they are not trustworthy

I have now bought two of the rechargeable solar outside lights from B&Q. OK for about two weeks and then stop working. Absolute rubbish!! Go elsewhere

I ordered and paid for my lamp on October 19th and have never received it. The company sent a tracker for the order and it is supposedly sitting at a hardware in my city of Ottawa, On, Canada since mid November.
I get the same answer that thé delivery issue is being investigated but that is also a falsehood.
I will report to Better Business Bureau.
Please save yourself hardship and money and Do Not Order from this Company.

This expensive lamp is absolute rubbish. The shade was damaged and has dents all over it. Connection is so fragile that if you just move the lamp a little bit it doesn’t work. The charger didn’t work and I had to use another one. The packaging was terrible and it looked like it had been opened and then jammed back in which is probably why it is so damaged. Have contacted them via email and sent photos but have had no response. I wish I had read all these reviews before ordering. Lesson learnt!!

Stay away from this company.
They say it's Italian designed with western people advertising it and it's actually made and delivered from China. Expensive to buy and made very cheaply.

Very disappointed in my Crystal Lantern Table lamp which is difficult to switch off and then randomly switches itself on, resulting in loss of charge. I had ordered previously and received a good product, so it's a shame to receive a lamp that simply does not work properly. You need to test your products before sending out - I can't return it as I don't have the packaging any more

Purchase BG "Smart" wifi GU10 bulbs which cannot be connected to wifi because of a fault with the BG app. App even though the wifi switched to 2.4gHz only but the app insists that I am connected to 5gHz hence won't connect. Extremely slow response and then the same advice as the packaging and when explained the problem vis a vis the App issue the response was that often the app did this and delete and re-install but the problem persists.

These lights are fragile...

Bought three Luceco Rechargeable Multifunctional Cage Work Lights for daughters, for camping in the garden, light if there's a power cut etc.

They are all failing / falling apart as they are held together by 4 screws and plastic lugs but the plastic is very weak and cracks. The LED lighting up / cage part detaches from the handle, only joined together by the wires. The weight is towards the torch end so puts strain on the plastic which it isn't strong enough to hold it.

For a product described as robust, professional and rugged, it's a disappointing design flaw IMO.

Two stars as the lights were very good before they began to break.

Out of warranty now.

Luceco is not the problem. The company I bought from is “Luceko” and it is a complete rip off. I ordered what looked like a large table lamp/usb powered, for $109. It arrived 4 weeks later, and it is complete junk. It’s not worth $25. Small, poorly made, just junk. Beware!

Absolutely garbage product, really wish I could give zero stars, at the very least their products are dangerous, utterly useless and of extremely low quality, companies like this deserve to go bankrupt

Just stay away from this seller. Purchased a Smoke Alarm from them via B&Q website, and the internal battery died after 5 months of use. I contacted the seller Luceco and they said that the Smoke Alarm itself have a 10 year warranty but the battery is not covered under this warranty. So they sold me a product with a almost dead 9V battery, the battery should have 5-10 years of lifespan, depending of their quality. Better go in a known shop and buy something yourself than online from this seller.

*Update 11.03.2025:
After contacting B&Q about this case, Luceco company send me a new Smoke Alarm replacement, and the battery included have exp date 2027.

Bought Luceco LED spot lights. The bulbs lasted around 2 years before 3 out of 4 have failed.

Just moved into a new home and bought a luceco smart flood light for back garden,and it's Absolutely Rubbish,didn't get time to return this crap..
Switching on buy it self every few minutes,really whines me up...
Don't wast your money..

Bought a luceco torch, but it doesn’t hold charge after charging it up. Useless
