Reviews are now only allowed if they send you an email, ridiculous
The item I bought was dreadful quality. I tried to leave a review but now you can only leave a review when you’re invited by Marks and Spencer to do so in an email. This is appalling, only positive reviews get loaded up with just a handful of negative ones to give the illusion of ‘balance’. As soon as you raise a return request they can tell you’re not ‘happy’ with the purchase and therefore they don’t ‘invite’ you to leave feedback. This is such dishonest behaviour and yet one more reason why they are losing more and more customers (according to on-line reporting. I gave in and order a few things recently for someone else and I have yet to be sent an email, inviting feedback! disgraceful.
Made me feel like a thief!!
I shop here a lot, but today, 25 September at around 1pm, Drake Circus M&S Plymouth. I had a really uncomfortable experience with security. As I was leaving, two security guard stopped me and questioned whether I had paid for a pizza that was in my pram basket, despite no alarm going off. I had paid for it and luckily had kept my receipt, but I don’t always take one, so I immediately panicked trying to find it and felt very embarrassed having to prove my purchase outside the store. As a black women, this experience left me feeling singled out. I hope the store reviews how these checks are handled so customers aren’t unnecessarily made to feel embarrassed, profiled or suspected of stealing.
Low quality expensive flowers
Very disappointed in the quality of the flowers both from the store and those sent by post. All 3 gifted bouquets due to a bereavement were large and must have been very expensive. The roses dropped after one day and the leaves in particular were dry and crispy and fell off, also after 1 day.
I rang just to express my disappointment and to find out who I needed to speak to so that they could look into this and maybe check how they were being stored before delivery or store display. They said they wouldn’t do anything without a reference number which was on the label on the box which I had torn off before putting out for collection. Nothing inside. Not interested in the store bought flowers either. The lady on the phone was doing her best but I had to admit defeat .
Recently placed an order for flowers from Marks & Spencers.
Recently placed an order for flowers to be delivered for my girlfriend , her husband had just died! I included an in depth message which took ages to get right! The flowers arrived on the correct day but no message included so she had no idea who they were from? Under her distressed mind she had to ring around family and friends and ask if any of them had sent her flowers!! I rang m& s told them what had happened and all they could say was sorry !!! I said that was of no help to me or my friend , after a long discussion she offered me £15 back - I was not happy and asked to speak to a manager - I was told there wasn’t one !!!! By then I’d had enough excepting the £15 but then realising that I had to spend it back in their shop !!!!! I’m disappointed and disgusted by what I thought was a reputable company. Never using them again.

Bought 2 packs of underwear in my size. One set is too small (03618042 ) and one set is too big (25987034)
I complained with photos and their response was, thanks for the info and we understood your disappointment. No offer of refund, return slips or credit note.
Bought in York on the way to the ferry and returning them from Luxembourg is expensive. I’m £30 down and helped their quality control department
Update - now received a £30 gift voucher !!!
Very disappointing blooms
Ordered flowers for my sister in law who was recovering from bowel cancer op, the picture on website is nothing like what was delivered. Not nearly as many blooms. Quite upset as they were £35
What a crap website
After an hour I gave up trying to place an order on their website- it's absolutely shambles. Full of glitches. Eventually, one of the dresses was no longer available. Will shop elsewhere
I shopped for underwear at Brent X M&S
I shopped for underwear at Brent X M&S. Despite a fitter in the store assuring me that one item I had tried would be perfect, when I got it home, it is far from that. The sizing is bizarre. Another set of multipack items also an awful fit. Apparently, if you buy items in store, you cannot leave reviews online. I will not be back there in the near future.
Waste of money
Bought stainless steel storage with snap on plastic lids. Lids do not snap on or even fit. Complete waste of money. Really surprised at this, will not be buying m and s homeware again.
Flowers didn’t last
Flowers delivered for my wife didn't last. Supposed to be roses and freesias, there were only 3 stems of each. The freesias died before they had a chance to open. The roses did open but soon withered.
I thought I would give M&S one more chance after a previous purchase when I got a refund after sending a photo of dead flowers. That was an ordeal as they insisted that my wife made the claim although I had paid - very embarrassing!
They used to send really nice bouquets but they changed supplier I think.
So that's it, never again.
Very disappointing experience
Very disappointing experience
I placed an online order on the M&S website on 29 August. The payment was taken from my bank account, but then the website showed an error and I never received an order number. The order simply wasn’t completed, even though I had already been charged.
As the items were my children’s school uniform, I had no choice but to place the order again and pay for everything a second time. I waited a few days for the first payment to be returned, but when nothing happened, I contacted customer service.
Since then, I have had to call several times. First, I was told the money would be back in my account within two days. It wasn’t. I called again and was told it might be delayed because of the bank holiday. I called again and was told it had been passed to the finance team and that I would receive an email within 24–48 hours. No email came. When I called again, I was then told that sometimes emails can take up to 72 hours to arrive(!) even though 72 hours had already passed.
This morning, I was finally told that a note had been added and that my refund should be processed within 3–5 working days. I really hope this is correct, but after everything that has happened, I honestly don’t feel very confident.
What makes this experience particularly disappointing is that I never expected this from M&S. Having to pay twice, spend so much time chasing my own money, and repeatedly contact customer service has been incredibly frustrating and upsetting.
Overall, a really disappointing experience from a brand I genuinely expected better from.
Marks & Spencer £50 bouquet of flowers…
Ordered a special bouquet of flowers from Marks and Spencer on next day delivery for a special occasion. They failed to deliver or update that no delivery would happen. Will never order anything from M & S again, totally unreliable.
Shout out to the ladies in Teesside…
Shout out to the ladies in Teesside park store. What a lovely bunch of people. So helpful so efficient and so professional.
Thought this would be a Treat
My husband decided to treat us to the M&S Beer battered Scottish Haddock with Pea Puree advertised by chef Tom Kerridge....Well I have to say it was a massive disappointment ... Cooked to the instructions on the packaging, unfortunately the batter was extremely soggy, the fish was tasteless & dry,and as for the Pea Puree absolutely non existent ... A real waste of time and money ....Have to say I really wouldn't recommend this product...Not an enjoyable experience...
Bring back BEEF Curry you Horrid lot
Witney Food has gone so far downhill in recent weeks I've decided to agree with my other half and shop elsewhere. We regularly enjoyed their ready meals, but now its mostly only bland chicken mush or just seafood to which we are both allergic.
Bring back the BEEF CURRY, it was delicious, but now this one store refuses to stock it, Horrible Shop!
Not The M&S I grew up with.
The clothing collection point at the Food Hall, Bidston Moss, is completely automated with no Customer Service desk. If you're unhappy with this you have to speak to the manager who seemed to me to be completely lacking in customer care skills. Not rude but but not particularly helpful either. Certainly, if I were in control of appointments at the store he would not be a manager. Having got the item from the store I took it home and upon opening found the quality to be mediocre at best and not what has traditionally been associated with Marks & Spencer's. They seem to be living on past glories and I would not be surprised (judging by the number of Internet complaints about the drop-in quality and service), if the company were to go out of business. They certainly will not be getting any profits from me in future.
Utter thieves!
I bought stuff online and I was overcharged for postage - it should've been free. I asked for a refund three weeks ago and despite agreeing they've overcharged me, they have still not refunded me.
They won't repay me via my original method of payment which was by credit card, and are demanding that instead I send them my bank account details via a web link.
Their web security was recently breached so I am not prepared to give out this information to them. It's outrageous. Why can't they refund via my original payment method? No way am I shopping with them ever again.
Why do M&S insist on punishing us Celiacs?
Why do M&S insist on punishing Celiacs?? First of all they ruined their gluten free macaroni and made it tasteless and basically inedible and now they’ve made it virtually impossible to get your hands on the ONLY decent gluten free cake on the market. I bought their gluten free coffee cake every weekend and now it’s disappeared from the shelf at my local M&S for good apparently. It’s still being produced but only available at select M&S stores, so I’ve been told. For me that would entail a 120 mile round trip to purchase one. I wouldn’t mind if it was because it was not selling but I have jostled with others trying on occasion to get my hands on the last one. WHAT IS GOING ON? Why would M&S do this with something so popular?? Stop punishing us celiacs for goodness sake!!
Witney M&S food, but only for a few....
Witney M&S food, but only for a few....
Until a month or so ago it was the home to "The Best Curry in England", but local management have now very Selfishly ditched it!
"The Goan Beef curry" was the BEST curry I have ever tasted, but strangely RARELY in stock, the ever present member of staff I regularly speak to told me, it comes in but sells out so fast!
Local management have apparently stopped it "due to numbers", I'm not surprised they don't sell many, they have never Ordered enough stock in to sell, who makes these people managers???
So Oxford still stocks it, so I need travel to Oxford and HOPE AND PRAY they have some in stock???
There is NO Alternative in Witney M&S, only prawn or chicken, and being allergic to Seafood, and a dislike of Bland Tasteless chicken dishes No Choice.
PLEASE GET NEW MANAGEMENT AND BRING BACK PROPER FOOD.

I bought two Alizza Fruits from Marks and Spencers yesterday. They are similar to a grapefruit but are supposed to be the " Ultimate citrus queen". They were £1 each. They looked beautiful. They were horrible. They were dry, pithy and totally tasteless. What a waste of two quid!!
