Initially, I was impressed at the higher quality of ingredients (vs Home Chef) e.g., grass fed beef and vegetarian sauce(s). I have found it takes too much time to chop up the garlic that is in a lot of these recipes so just purchased a jar. Most of the meals are quite full of flavor and taste fresh. The last box I got was wrong in more than 1 way and trying to make meatloaf patties w/ ground chicken was a disaster. Hoping their packing people get back to doing a better job.
My last shipment was supposed to be the Steakhouse Beef Tenderloin. I got a package of ravioli instead of the beef. I was very disappointed!

This whole order was shockingly bad. The Marley spoon meals were horrible except for the “chicken pizza” and the chicken meatballs with Marinara sauce. The lobster ravioli is way too fishy without even tasting like lobster (though the bisque was good.). The cheesecakes were missing. The only things worth eating were the tamales, the cheese plate, the pumpkin muffins and the non-Marley Indian dishes. The Marley meatballs tikka masala were the worst Indian food I’ve ever had and the chipotle chicken tortillas and cheese were pure, flavorless mush I’m assuming due to having been previously frozen and then thawed. It should be noted on the website that all of the Marley meals are previously frozen. I can buy better, cheaper frozen food at the grocery store.

WE LIKE THE CONVENENCE AND vatiety of recipes far more than hello fresh. GREAT WAY TO HAVE ALL family members be able to take responsibility for a mean. HOWEVER, TOO MANY meals use POTATOES USED AS SIDES. I AM POTATOES OUT.
Upon arrival it was pretty wet inside the box
My suggestion for each meal, put all the seasonings ( in separate packages) but in one bag, for each meal.
it would save a lot of time, trying to find everything.also ask the delivery person to ring doorbell, we have to constantly be looking out the door all day, thank you
Everything so far has been tasty and my family likes it. Seems like high quality ingredients and a wide variety of recipes. The only less positive is that I have to pick my food almost a week ahead of time but worth it to have good food!
Marley Spoon has been just fine. The quality certainly decreased a little and mistakes were made more often recently which has meant we've looked to another service for a while.
If you truly do love cooking, this is the box for you. Unique and innovative recipes. Sometimes they do miss, and when that happens, they miss hard.
Overall I don't feel negatively about this company, and we'll certainly try it again in the future if need be. Subscribed for about 3 months or so.
I went into their site. Saw the menu was not interested and deactivated within minutes. Still got charged for 10 meals that I did not choose. I called immediately when I saw the charge pending to see why im being charged. Of course the phone lines were busy. So I emailed amd I got a copy paste letter saying if I didnt deactivate by the deadline.
Tried the meals and they suck worse then their customer service. Meatballs are tasteless amd soggy. I donated the meals. Most expensive 5 minutes

After months of miss deliveries we are now on track.
The meals are remarkable. I find myself making dishes I would never have tried. We were with another meal kit company for three years. It became repetitive. Not the case with Marley Spoon. Month after month we have a wide selection.
Very happy in San Francisco.
All meals have been delicious & easy to prepare. The selection of meals is amazing. The delivery service used by Marley Spoon is much better & more reliable than other meal services I have used. I have ordered several times over the last 6-9 months & have been very impressed with the quality of the ingredients.
I like the variety of menus offered as well as a general attempt to create healthy meals. For the most part, the vegetables and other items seem fresh. And the end results are usually more than satisfactory.
I had one of the worst experiences with Marley Spoon. My box arrived with marinara sauce spilled all over everything — every single ingredient was ruined and had to be thrown away. Nothing could be salvaged.
What made it even more frustrating was the customer service. It took weeks just to get a response, and when they finally replied, the “credit” offered didn’t come close to addressing the fact that the entire order was a complete loss. The delay and dismissive resolution showed me how little Marley Spoon values its customers.
At this point, I don’t even care about the credit. What matters is that Marley Spoon has proven to be unreliable, both in product quality and in customer support. I will not be using their service again, and I certainly will not be recommending them to anyone.

Food arrived on time and all materials have been included. The last two weeks, we have enjoyed the recipes a lot.
Bruised and poor quality and undersized produce, leaky protein bags that ruin the rest of the ingredients, late deliveries or deliveries that were never sent. I’ll never use them again!

First order, ice melted, food warm and two meals had plastic separated form container. Threw it all away. Contacted support with no response. Cancelled service. Then get charged for a second delivery. No email saying it was being sent. Contacted support with no response. Today I get a notice package is out for delivery. Unable to get a hold of ANYBODY at this company.
UPDATE- crazy response from Marley Spoon. Of course I tried emailing and chat- NO RESPONSE!

Great recipes for a complete meal. Quality ingredients and interesting menus. As an experienced cook it still is great at teaching new tips.

Absolutely dissatisfied 2 weeks in a row got wet boxes, ice packs were completely melted , my jar of pickles were smashed open and water laying in bottom of box i have pictures i sent to them and no response either time I will be canceling my subscription

The recipes are tasty and generally easy to prepare. I prefer the oven roasted entrees compared to the stove top prepared because there is too much aerosolized oil and it coats every thing in the kitchen!
A major complaint is how you present the recipe instructions…in paragraph form, they are difficult to track when cooking. I would prefer a vertical listing of ingredients and the assembly directions parallel on the right hand side to that…the old fashioned way a listing a recipe.
