I am a teacher, and during the school year I want to be able to make no-shopping, no-planning, good-tasting, healthy meals for my family. Marley Spoon has many, many options to choose from. If you are following health guidelines (low fat, low carb), if you want comfort food, or if you want to try an exotic blend of spices, they have something for you.
Each meal comes with easy to follow instructions and fresh ingredients. On the rare occasion that something is damaged during shipping, customer service is easy to contact and has always made good on the problem.
It is very easy to pause your subscription too, so long as you plan ahead. Our family cooks for ourselves during the summer and on school breaks. I go to the website and pause the subscription for those weeks (even the whole summer!) - easy peasy.
My only complaint is that some dietary info is buried behind a couple of clicks. I have to eat low sodium meals, and sodium content is not a search term I can use the way low fat or gluten free is. I can find the information with a few clicks, but I wish it was easier.
Other than that finicky thing, I am very pleased with our Marley Spoon subscription.
Marley Spoon is wonderful. I’ve been cooking with them for 7 months now and love selecting my meals every week. There are so many choices, I have never had the same meal twice, and have learned some great recipes and cooking techniques that I can take with me if I ever do decide to leave the service. I also love the “chef series” recipes they will offer, which go above and beyond a typical recipe to have you do things like making dough from scratch as part of your recipe, so you can take your experience even further. In my entire time with the service, there was only one delivery issue where my box arrived late and I couldn’t use the ingredients due to a holiday week — customer service took care of me by issuing a sincere apology refunding the cost of my box. Each week I am more confident in my cooking than the last, and enjoy the opportunity to cook cuisines from around the world.
They tend to leave out important ingredients. For example they forgot to put ground beef in the box for the meatloaf meal. Poor quality control. This has happened to me several times now. It wrecked the whole meal. Then their reply is so weak and doesn'thelp.

Excellent customer service. Meal options are very good with a wide selection. I wish there were a few additional healthy small items to add onto to orders, but I really like Marley Spoon
We really have been satisfied with all of the recipes we received so far. We did have an issue with the quality on some of the items, but our concerns were quickly answered to our satisfaction. I’m just holding off to give a five star rating to see if the quality continues. However, as I’ve mentioned, the recipes really are delicious.
I'm really enjoying Marley Spoon. I'm finding the ingredients are very fresh and good, and the recipes are interesting and tasty. I definitely notice Martha's touch in the recipes!
Super happy with the variety choices, and quality of the product!
I left a message because I did not get my steak on my last order and no one has of yet called. The week before my order was messed up. I was compensated.

We have really liked the food, it is Five-Star. Deducting two stars because we have had trouble receiving delivery a couple of times now. OnTrac reports that they have received the box late. This past week they did not receive it at all.
Also, the box arrives with items tossed out of the inner box and scattered under the ice packs and the meat, and sometimes damaged. And all the items are wet, even though we bring the box in immediately after we receive delivery notification.
Maybe the smaller items should be packaged in a plastic bag or something, to protect them, like Blue Apron?

The meals have always been good- but my meals were supposed to come Tuesday- got a notification late Tuesday that they wouldn’t come until Wednesday but not to worry as they carefully pack the boxes. Wednesday I was notified there was a production error and they wouldn’t arrive until Thursday. They never showed up and I was charged. further, they say my next box is coming Tuesday and have charged my credit card, but considering I never received last weeks and you can not reach anyone I am concerned that there are greater problems.

Good food! We almost always enjoy our recipes and it saves the hassle of planning for weekday meals. We often have leftovers for lunch!

Marley Spoon helped us save money by not wasting food that would not be eaten over the course of a week. The recipes are great.
The recipes are tasty but the packing of the boxes leaves a lot to be desired. Never fails, every week there is chicken juice all over the contents of the box. If you get something with buns, they are often packed between the ice blocks and smashed.

MULTIPLE REASONS NOT TO USE DINNERLY/MARLEY SPOON!!
~They are the SAME company with the SAME MO!
~The sign up page says all over it, multiple times, "don't worry because you won't be charged until your box ships" and that "you can cancel any time"... but what they DON'T tell you is that you have signed up to get that very first box, whether you want it or not!
~In order to even create an account you are REQUIRED to put your card information in there... BEFORE you can even pick your meals! So, I thought that there was no harm in creating an account because I can "Cancel at anytime"!
~They have BY FAR the WORST "Costumer Service" I have EVER dealt with!! They are RUDE, inconsiderate, and wholly unhelpful! It doesn't matter to them that they falsified their cancelation practice!
~They even take the lie a step further by actually telling you not to worry because you won't be charged until you pick your meals!
~ Which, btw, are ALL SORTS OF WONKY! You would think the service you pay for includes the amount of dinners for the amount of people you choose, right? Wrong! They give you 4 servings of one meal, 3 of another and some of them are premium meals, which cost extra, so by the time you go to check out, you have to edit the meals to account for the amount of servings you need for each! So, another shady business practice IMO!
~I contacted "Customer Service" and not only were they rude and inconsiderate, but the guy literally told me that it's not THEIR fault that I thought I was canceling and would've be charged!? Like WHAT?! He told me they emailed me to inform me that the first box was on its way, (2 for me because I checked out Dinnerly AND Marley Spoon) ...but why would I be looking out for an email informing me of a delivery that I canceled?🤔 It IS in their terms and conditions, (like the fourth line down and equates to about half a sentence) that you must to contact them directly in order to cancel the first box. But to me, that is NOT being able to cancel at anytime! That's lying to me to get my card information and charge me for meals I DIDN'T CHOOSE even though I basically canceled immediately!
~It should be CLEAR, that you are agreeing to buy the first box AT THE TIME OF SIGN UP, (with the same clarity that they repeat the "canceling anytime" and "not being charged until shipment") that if you don't want it, canceling in the account settings isn't sufficient to stop that first box!
~NEITHER of their delivery drivers followed my delivery instructions!
~The Dinnerly box was a day late, and warm from not following instructions... no help or concern from the "customer service" a-holes!
~The Marley Spoon meals are these piddly little things and look NOTHING like the adverts! Their version of spaghetti and meatballs literally had 4 meatballs and maybe 15 noodles, the green beans were stacked full, though, so I guess good on them!🤔🤷♀️👍
~It's false advertising and shady as heck!🤷♀️

My box was a day late and everything was completely spoiled. I reached out more than once to try to get a new box or a refund and have yet to hear back. $98 for nothing. It was my first box since 2022 and I am very worried about the next.
**update** After waiting three days to hear back I finally got a reply and was compensated $20 on future boxes. My ENTIRE box was ruined and I was unable to salvage anything to make a full meal. I think a full refund is in order. But I guess paying that much for some spices and tortillas is worth it.

Overall, I really enjoy being introduced to new ideas and seasonings and recipes & the recipe cards are easy to follow with good visuals. The produce (veggies & fruits) and cheeses and pastas are generally very good the proteins I think they could go a tad higher quality, but overall they are good. I stick with the shrimp & chicken mostly. The coisants are a nice treat too and I have enjoyed some of the holiday recipes. I must like it- as I have been a member for a couple of years now! The variety is nice and I appreciate the new marketplace and I have learned a lot. I have no plans to leave anytime soon. It mixes well with my other shopping : ) thank you MS! Xo PS. Add some inexpensive caviar : )
The company can improve on the delivery of the box's contents. All the ingredients were wet with the contents of the plastic bags holding the gel. I had to wipe each ingredient with a paper towel. The small brown box inside holding the ingredients was wet also. Very messy.

Box arrived 3 days late with spoiled food in 96 degree heat. Asked for a refund and have recieved no information since last week regarding that refund. Cancelled upcoming boxes until I get a refund and see today that you are still shipping a box I cancelled 3-days before the deadline.

I started with this service over 3 years ago, and loved the recipes then (would have given 5 stars then). I really hate that if i miss an email after some time off because of a busy life, i get sent a random box of kits, often with foods i really dislike. And i get the notification only 3-4 days before ship date, when customer service tells me it is too late to cancel. It feels extremely forced upon, and it’s happened too many times (i learned my lesson too slowly), and is a waste of food and money. Completely quitting this time.
