Don’t waste your time

Not great. The whole order for the week just comes in one big box that you’re supposed to fit in your refrigerator. Then you have to dig through and figure out what ingredients go with which recipe. The delivery window is all day so you basically just have to be home all day to receive it. The chicken was leaking all over the rest of the ingredients so I had to throw some away. Also, if you want to skip a week you need to know a week in advance. You can’t cancel orders up to a week out so if something changes you’re stuck wasting a bunch of food. You also have to log into your account and cancel your order a week out or it will just pick random recipes without your consent and send them. Just overall too much admin.

My rating would actually be 3 1/2 to 4.
I am recently been disappointed in the quality of your vegetables, such as cucumbers, zucchini. They have spoiled way too early.

Also, my delivery instructions are never met.
The print on the delivery label should be larger so the instructions can been seen.
I ask that the box be delivered inside the door by the garage. It never happens!!!

All of the ingredients are fresh

All of the ingredients are fresh. The meats are always very nice. Chicken and beef are cleaned and great quality. For the most part there are nice quantities.
In this box, I had no complaints. Green beans were like fresh picked! Potatoes especially nice! Nice variety of flavors.

Do not do it!

I have received 2 boxes from Marley Spoon. The first box had some ingredients and an entire meal missing. This week was the second box and it was an absolute mess. 5 out of the six meals ordered had multiple ingredients missing including essential, main ingredients. I have been trying to contact them for 2 days and you get hung up on before even being connected to a representative. I have also emailed twice with no response. I am not the only one that experienced this so it appears they have turned their phones off to cut off all communication with their customers.

My recent order arrived a day late

My recent order arrived a day late. I didn’t get the notification it would be late until the morning of the day the box was then arriving!!
I do enjoy the food and recipes but there have been weekly issues with the produce freezing.

My favorite

I am using tis meal kit service for several months and majorituly of the recepies are great. I like that thete is a varoety and many recepies to choose from. Nostly there are no issues, but if occasional issues occure, they gpt fixed. I tried Hungryroots and Hello Fresh before and like Maley Spoon the most.

Amazing food at a decent price

I started getting meal delivery because I'm trying to eat healthier but didn't really know where to start. The food is so delicious, far beyond my expectations. Every week there are so many different options. I'm a very picky eater but even i sometimes have a problem trying to choose just 3 meals a week. I would highly recommend Marley Spoon to anyone looking to start on meal delivery boxes. And make sure you try the raspberry cheesecake in the "market" section, you'll thank me later.

App is easy to use and works well…

App is easy to use and works well including getting recipes.
Meal kit variety is unsurpassed and you can use filters to create categories acceptable to you like Mediterranean, Fish or Vegetarian.
Delivery is generally on time.

Severe customer service issues

I do love the recipes and I was a customer for over a year, however, the lack of customer service if/when there is a delivery or ingredient issue is severely lacking. That's what killed them for me. It's been two weeks and I keep getting auto emails apologizing for the delay the them saying they will give me a $20 credit. The problem is, I cancelled the service so I can't use it because I refuse to work with a company who cannot rectify when there are issues. I don't expect perfection but I do expect customer service.

I've been trying to contact them via email and their site for two weeks about a late delivery where the food was spoiled. I was unable to use the entire box of 3 meals for 4 people. That's not cheap and a $20 credit doesn't help. It's more like a slap in the face.

Well here we go again

Well here we go again. Ice pack broken open again. You have not gotten back to me about the last time this happened. It is HOT in AZ and if the box is in the delivery mode, it needs to come earlier in the day while still frozen. Getting very close to cancelling this program. Too much silence you and no feed back or solution !!!! BAD

Consistently delicious meals

Consistently delicious meals.
Almost all the meals I've gotten so far are delicious, original, and satisfying. The ingredients are fresh. However, I've complained to them about this before, but their allium supplier (onions, garlic, etc.) keeps sending tiny vegetables. So tiny that I have to always keep some on hand to supplement the kit. This is odd because everything else is pretty generously portioned. Despite my telling them on the phone that this is inconvenient, they keep sending the tiniest onions I've ever seen. I can't even get onions this tiny at the store if I tried.

I used to love my delivery box...

I used to love my delivery box but things have changed. It's suddenly like they just stopped caring about the quality of the food or the delivery experience. I have had damaged food in every order for well over a month. I send pictures and ask for changes yet nothing happens. When I had the same issue previously, they listened and made proper adjustments. It seems like whomever bought the company doesn't have the same customer oriented beliefs that the previous folks did. It's really a shame because I used to tell everyone to try it. Now I wouldn't suggest it to anyone.

UPDATE: I don't know if it was this review that helped or not but my most recent delivery was MUCH BETTER. They FINALLY listened to me and packed my order in the proper box size. It arrived cold and safe and easier to manage. I sent the company a big thank you and wanted to come here to spread the word as well.

Great options & yummy recipies

This is a great option to answer the question "whats for dinner". It offers a lot of options from easy with a little prep, to more involved. Having the perfect amount of ingredients sent is terrific, especially for spices I don't stock in my own pantry. Recipe cards are easy to follow. Everything stays fresh and cold through shipping. My only complaint is the cold packs make the shipping box very heavy,sometimes I unpack it right on my porch to avoid lifting it. But it's a simple inconvienience to keep it all cold.

Delivery is often late

Delivery is often late. Fresh produce and meats arrive unfrozen, warm - hardly safe. We had this happen multiple times and requested refunds. Most recently, however, the food arrived a full day late, hot. When it was reported, with photos, Marley Spoon would not respond. A week later (today) still no response. Not recommended.

Fresh Meals on your time

I like this meal service because there are more varieties to choose from; from my experience it is hit or miss when you get notified as to when you are able to make changes before it is shipped. I sometimes don't make them in time and then left with food items I'm not particularly fond of but have to be creative with what I have in the freeze/fridge already.
