Marked the Ipswich restaurant down, not because the food was under par if not rather expensive, but the parking conditions. A huge area was flooded (and not due to the heavy rain we’ve experienced this year) - it’s always ankle deep and has been like this for a few years now. Mentioned it to the staff who showed no interest. And the uncarpeted sections of the (dry) flooring inside the restaurant was extremely slippery - again mentioned it to the bar staff but fell on deaf ears. They might take action if someone has a fall. Needs some management involvement to rectify the problems.

Booked for 7 starters and drink arrived 1 hour after being seated
Prawns cold inside and burnt outside
Additional hour wait for main which again the steak was cold inside and after 10 minutes the chunk of butter on top has still not melted hence meat was cold
Asked for bill wait addition 40 minutes
For then the waiter to incorrectly select additional percentage on bill when we clearly stated we couldn’t see the card reader as it was so dark and we only wanted to pay amount of bill no extras due to the service and quality of food
We asked for this to be removed but was told sorry it’s already gone through

Food served cold except for chips.
Starter was bland and lacked flavours
Was credited with discount due to not accepting complimentary drink.
Won’t be going there again.

We waited for a hour to be seated and that is only because i went and asked how long it would take
The lettuce came out before the starter
We waited 30 mins for our main coarse and to behonest the steak was chewy. We waited to choose a dessert which took to long , so didnt order
The only thing to come quickly was the bill
Such a shame as we previously had good service
We wont be returning

Can honestly say the food has gone way down in our estimation - it arrives cold and the steaks are not cooked at all properly and cold. This has happened twice at different sites - no where near as good a chain of steak restaurants as when first opened and our family will not rush to go again any time soon! Valentine day wana disappoinment

Sitting for over an hour and still no food has been delivered to the table. We are in the Scotts Bridge Mill, Miller & Carter. Understaffed and over booked.

When we finally received our meal, the steak was cold, no steak knife provided and the tripple cooked chips were more like McCain frozen chips.

What a shame, i was sooo looking forward to The Miller And Carter Experience, at 71 and never been, with the price i was expecting excellence. Started off great good service, the pork belly was the best tasting starters i have ever had sadly that's where it ended. Looking forward to my steak experience ribeye steak and triple cooked chips honestly i have had better ribeye steak from Aldi and don't bother with paying extra for the triple cooked chips there the same as ordinary chips .Dessert ok. Too expensive.

Visited miller and carted at Harlow today, served by Wendy who went above and beyond enabling my wife to select a suitable meal as unable to eat steak at this time. Ambience and service was excellent, not rushed, a thoroughly enjoyable experience for us both, all thanks to Wendy.

Went to the epping forest branch were we had the sharing platter which was delightful we was served by Lucy who was very welcoming and pleasantly helpful really good service.

Four of us went for dinner in York and had the most delicious meals. Succulent steaks, fresh grilled trout, and yummy desserts! Our waiter, Fin, could not have been more helpful, courteous, and efficient. Definitely a positive dining experience!

we went as a group of 4 to celebrate a birthday. We each chose a fillet steak and 3 of us didn't finish, not because there was too much food but that it was inedible.
We pointed this out to the waitress whose only comment was that we buy the best meat. Nothing further so we left having paid a heafty bill fellong let down and unhappy. Very different from our 2 previous visits.

Generally good food but the atmosphere isn’t as nice, often there’s a long wait and the prices can’t really be justified. Service is great though.

Brilliant service, very helpful and friendly and made my birthday more special. Sue at @killay Swansea couldn't do enough for us 😊

Visited the Northampton restaurant last Saturday. This is supposed to be a premium brand. We had Poor service tables let uncleaned when people left and average food. They also tried to over charge by £20.
Raised this with them and only response was ‘ has your complaint been delt with in a timely manner and to your satisfaction’ No because nobody has bothered to get back to me.
It’s now the 11th Feb and still no response so leads me to conclude that they are not interested!

Over charged twice for w lot of money manager said sorry stay clear 1 mistake ok 2 no way

Fantasic food and service was great will go back to the Grantham branch again soon

We visited yesterday afternoon for a birthday meal at the Mirfield restaurant. We were looked after by Rory & he is an absolutely fabulous waiter. He works so hard to please the customers & nothing is too much trouble. He is polite, friendly & caring. He deserves a bonus. He is an asset to Miller & Carter & they are so lucky to have him. Keep up the good work & you will fly young man. You made us very happy.

Went to the newly opened Portsmouth restaurant.
Seated in a very busy area, when plenty of seating was visible & available.
Food was nice, but the fact I couldn't have a conversation with my husband due to the tables so close together. People on tables next to us felt the same.
Wouldn't rush back unless you can specify where you want to sit.
Would have stayed longer if I felt more comfortable.

Avoid Weston super Mare , we have been 3 times in past 6 months for an evening meal on a Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday nights but, no matter if you book a table for 7pm or 7.30 pm or 8pm , you wait for a table even though there only half full, they never have sufficient number of staff, the service is slow, the quality of the food is average and over priced.
Other M&C in other towns are fine ie, you get served in a reasonable amount of time, not having to wait an hour and although expensive, the quality of food from the kitchen is superior. So, avoid Weston.
