I purchased a pair of supposedly orthopedic sandals for $54.00. When I recieved them they were very cheaply made and did not fit. They were the same as a pair I got in Bali for $15.00. When I contacted the company regarding this I was offered a $30.00 gift certificate for Modern Aussies or a refund of $15.00 .

So my choice is lose my money or pay more for another pair ( not happening) and get to keep an awful pair of shoes which are not orthopedic and don't fit.
22/10/25 After this review and many phonecalls from the company I have now recieved a full refund . This is a good outcome for me but I don't think it should have taken all this. And the shoes are still cheap

Greatest appreciation to Modern Aussies, particularly Lily for coming to my aid in a delivery bungle. The product Barefoot sneaker are simply the best - I have been off work and have had 2 surgeries on my a broken ankle, with a 3rd one later this year. They are the only enclosed shoes that I have found that I can wear - thanks to my BFF who brought me a pair from Modern Aussies and now I have 2 more in different colours.
In Addition my Physio is impressed and said there is some promising information coming out about these types of shoes

Scam site! Stay away! I thought I was purchasing an orthopaedic pillow. 3 weeks later, I received a very chemical smelling pillow case from China!

Thieves...Stole my money...did not recieve my item. Will not give me a refund or offer me credit, just said oh well and kept my money..no phone number to contact them. Will never buy from these thieves again.

We ordered an air duster for our business over four months ago. The delivery company repeatedly failed to even attempt delivery to a well-known commercial building. After many emails and several months of follow-up, I was told a refund would be processed once they completed their investigation. About two and a half months later, the refund was finally issued, though I wasn’t informed until nearly four months after the original order.

To their credit, communication did improve once they reached out regarding my review, and I’ve added an extra star for the effort they made in the end.

Ordered 19/9/25 no follow up
Expected delivery was 2/10/25
But still sitting with Aramex
No idea when it will be delivered

Terrrible product, so overpriced. Pretends to be Australian but sent from China.

Inferior materials,so flimsy and light, only arrived in a plastic bag, floppy straps,bare a mil wide NO cushioned insole support, the add shows strong supportive sandals. They DONT look like the shoes advertised, Also another company uses the same add. They state a money back guarantee but they Don't refund as only offer credits for more (in their shop) products. Make it difficult for returns, so you end up with inferior products. Best to go to a physical shop and try on a shoe.

Firstly, the delivery took 16 days, despite us paying for express post. The web site stated a maximum of 10 days.
The product when it arrived was not what we ordered.
The pruning saw shown on the website and ordered on August 25th, was different to the pruning saw delivered on the 10th September.
The pruning saw delivered on the 10th was also defective in that the chain guard was two inches or 50 mm shorter than the saw bar, which means in the event of any kickback, the operator would be struck in the face by the unguarded bar and chain.
Lastly, the return information on the website did not give or confirm the return address.
We returned it to the PO Box address on the Australia Post label on the box.
This product was advertised today for $59.95 on TEMU but we were charged $149.99. Normally we would not buy from AMAZON but we just found out that MODERN AUSSIES is owned by AMAZON.

Overall impression is a total rip-off .

Modern Aussies tried to get us to remove our post on Trustpilot with a small cash gift instead of a refund. No dice Modern Aussies. The product was defective and dangerous and despite your plausible reply to consider my concerns you have done nothing to address the safety issue . As an experienced chain saw operator I am very familiar with the safety problems that this 150mm pruning saw presents.
Anyone considering a hand pruning saw should stick with professional products like STIHL. I will never be tempted to stray from trusted brands again, especially if AMAZON has anything to do with it.

A scam company. Buy elsewhere! – I bought a charging station which was supposed to charge 3 devices simulaneously and rapidly. Not only was it extremly slow at charging, it would stop working if more than 1 device was put on it. This was $160.00 full price!

After emailing them asking for a refund they refused to refund me and didn't even want to take a look at it (i.e. they didn't doubt it was faulty, they send them out like that). I've just lodged a complaint with consumer affairs Victoria, hopefully they will take action to stop these scammers.

I had been looking for some new water-sports sunglasses for sailing, looked at the technical reviews of type, colour, coating, buoyancy, wear, etc and found the Modern Aussies offer. I purchased two initially – brown and yellow, then after they arrived within a week and I experienced the clarity, and because of the good price, I purchased another two, this time green and blue. The prices were good, the delivery bot informed me at each stage and they arrived on-time as advised within a week of the order in good protective packaging. While the bright-coloured frames might be a little gaudy for some, it is not unexpected for water sports. The lenses are very clear and polarised. There was no information about visible light transmission rates, the green lenses are subjectively the darkest, blue and brown about the same and yellow best for overcast or lower light conditions. The brown lens appears to give the brightest emphasis to yellow marker buoys in the distance which is important for sailors. I can’t comment on their differences in visibility of fish underwater, as some brands advertise. They don’t appear to float but have a good head strap and the frames have a reasonable head grip so they are difficult to dislodge unexpectedly. The frames don’t look expensive but do the job. All up I’m happy with the purchase, quality and delivery service.

There was an issue with the pressure washer brush but the support team were prompt and helpful with their replies, even at the weekend, and offered ways to solve the problem.
The issue was resolved to my satisfaction.

I want to apologise for my earlier frustration — I’ve now received the Modern Aussies retro gaming console and it’s honestly a great little device. The HD screen looks sharp, it runs smoothly, and the game selection is packed with classics.

I was worried at first due to the wait and limited replies, but the product arrived safely and works as advertised. Definitely happy with it now. Thanks again!

Terrible quality and customer service. Sizes are not true to size and they will not refund you for the product even though it is sent not as described. If you want to buy their products just go to Alibaba and find the same product for less than half the price.

Tried to return a product because it wasn’t what was expected. Offered a credit note for 50% of value and had to pay for return. Return policy is misleading.
Don’t waste your money. I followed up twice with them and they said “sorry their policy is misleading”. Taking it to the ACCC.

This Company goes way and beyond the best customer service I've ever had.
My mistake of ordering the incorrect size sandals, they exchanged them for the smaller size, no questions asked.
I would recommend this company to everyone who wants good old fashioned customer service.

Their products are of poor quality. They are an Australian company that does not stand by their products and provide warranty which is in breach of Australian Consumer Law. I will be taking this up further with Department of Fair Trading! Doesn't even deserve one star!

*Edit* Have contacted me saying they would give me the full refund only if I delete the review. And they contacted me months ago before they replied to this review. They also spam called every day on different numbers until I had to tell them to not call me. Do not use this website, please for the love of god. Save yourself some sanity and your money. Go anywhere else.

Two faulty products from this place and they did not honour the 30 Day Money Back guarantee. Absolute bullshit they offered $59 plus shipping on a $200 order. Scammers, liars and thieves is all they are. Don’t buy anything from them, don’t learn the hard way like me. Rip off Temu with shitter products that are more expensive and no empathy at all.

Really love the colour of the tyre pen that I purchased. Would have put 5* but the pen paint was very thin and poured out at times making an incredible mess on my tyres.
