When I was in China 10 years ago I regretted not having purchased a silk comforter. I have been searching for one of similar quality ever since. On Saturday I ran across Mommesilk. By Sunday I had ordered a summer comforter. By Wednesday it was in my hands. The packaging was such as I have never seen, exquisitely packaged. I aired it out for two days and last night slept with it. It was like sleeping among the clouds. I tend to run hot at night, but Mommesilk's comforter managed to keep me at a comfortable sleeping temperature. If you are debating whether to purchase one of their products. DO NOT HESITATE! (And I almost NEVER write reviews.)

Edit: Customer service contacted me after seeing my review and very kindly offered me a refund of my postage costs as well as an apology. I'm still waiting to receive my order but hoping it will be lovely once it arrives!

Although my product ordered (silk pillowcase with hidden zipper) hasn't yet organised, I wasn't impressed with the customer service at Mommesilk.

Nowhere on the site did it state products were shipped from China. Under FAQs it says the products are made in China, but I, perhaps naively, assumed that was it was a UK website the products would be in stock in the UK and shipped from the UK.

When I found out that products are shipped from China I wasn't very pleased as I'm trying to reduce my carbon footprint, and wouldn't have ordered had I known this. I mentioned this in an email to customer service and said that perhaps they should include this information on the site.

The response I received was this, which I felt was rather rude:

"Thanks for your reply.
That doesn't matter. Products shipped from CN was stated on our website. We have many returned customered from UK.
But anyway, thanks for your inquiry."

As the customer, it actually DOES matter to me, and I don't appreciate being talked down to and my concerns minimised.

As a result, I sadly don't think I'll be ordering from here again or recommending the company to friends and family.

On this occasion I bought the silk pillowcase with hidden zipper.

Excellent quality merchandise and customer service. We’ll done!

I ordered a silk chemise for my niece to wear while getting ready for her wedding. I received the wrong size but was given the return shipping address and assured I’d receive the replacement in time. My niece received the replacement and said the chemise is perfect. Thank you for your quick responses, great resolution, and quality product.

As the tile says, better quality than Fishers Finery, better pricing than LILYSILK. I have purchased a pillowcase and a pair of PJs.
Excellent customer service, deliveries have been timely. Drawbacks: lack of more choices of color for PJs and there are only a few blouses offered for clothing.

Customer service was excellent. They helped me with the return process when the fit of one set of pajamas was not quite right. They expedited a replacement set which was just right. Very high quality product. Extremely happy with my purchases.

My parcel was lost by the courrier so the company gave me a refund. Good communication and I would trust them to use again .

I ordered a silk nightgown but the customs declaration states 100% polyester. So I am very confused with what I have bought. The nightgown arrived in a very poor state - very creased which leads me to believe it us indeed polyester rather than silk.

I am so pleased with my experience with Mommesilk! I've been wanting real silk pillowcases for a while, but anything I found was either out of budget or not made from real silk. I found Mommesilk and decided I'd give them a try. Their shipping was fast and their products came packaged with care. I've been sleeping on my new silk pillowcases every night for the past month and I don't think I'll ever go back to cotton. My skin and hair look better than ever and the only thing that has changed in my routine is the addition of these beautiful pillowcases! Next on my list is to get a set of bedsheets so I can feel the luxury of Mommesilk all over!

The products arrive quickly and are of very good quality, the touch is very pleasant and relaxing. It looks very nice to look at and put 10/10

ACHTUNG: Sowohl mommesilk als auch lilisilk sind absolut unseriöse Unternehmen! Mangelhafte Ware, per Kreditkarte bezahlt, soll erst an ein Subunternehmen nach Bruchsal gesendet werden. Nachdem nichts erstattet oder ersetzt wurde, wird man bei erneuter Reklamationen aufgefordert, die Ware in die USA zu senden. ... Sehr seriöser Webauftritt, der Exklusivität vorgaukelt und die Kunden in Sicherheit wiegt FINGER WEG von den Anbietern.
Mal sehen, ob der Anwalt noch was retten kann...

Das Unternehmen hat kein Impressum (Serioesitaet?) und die Service Telefonnummer hat eine amerikanische Telefonnummer (hohe Kosten) aber es geht bei Anrufen eh Niemand ran. Das Unternehmen wirbt mit 100 Tagen Rueckgaberecht, erstattet aber die Kosten fuer die Retoure nicht. Da die Ware (asiatisch ausgelegt fuer Europaer viel zu klein und kurz) aus China kommt, sind die Retourekosten teurer als die Ware selbst. Pakete nach China kosten mit Nachweis ca. 60 Euro. Aus meiner Sicht ein unserioeser Haendler bei dem man auf den Kosten fuer Retoure und nicht passende Ware sitzen bleibt.
