Two years of delays and incomplete Invisalign treatment

I paid approximately £3,000 for Invisalign treatment at North Hill Dental Practice and was advised that it would take around 12 to 18 months. More than two years later, the treatment was still incomplete.

Throughout the process, appointments were repeatedly cancelled or rearranged, scans and replacement trays were delayed, and there were lengthy gaps between appointments. Communication was extremely poor, and I regularly had to chase for updates. On one occasion, I called around six times over two weeks before receiving a meaningful response.

I was eventually offered a sample bonding plate without the usual £200 charge and told it would take around two to three weeks. The appointment was arranged for almost five weeks later and was then cancelled by the practice the day before it was due to take place.

I understand that clinicians can experience personal circumstances, but the practice should have had suitable arrangements in place to prevent patients from repeatedly being let down. I frequently reorganised work commitments for appointments that were then cancelled or changed.

I have now moved to another dental practice and am having to pay further costs to complete the treatment. After more than two years of delays, cancellations and poor communication, I have completely lost confidence in North Hill Dental Practice.

Based on my experience, I would not return and could not recommend the practice.

The surgery has developed into a light and airy welcoming space offering the full range of dental treatments and procedures.
I have had implants, crowns and other work performed by Dr Sedani and I would recommend his calm and measured approach to everyone. He has great skills, is genuinely interested in his patients and their wellbeing and never recommends unnecessary treatment. I trust him implicitly and will see no other dental surgeon.
I have a dental plan that seems good value and finally feel confident that my teeth will not cause trouble before this is managed.
The practice offers scans and alignment and whitening, although I have not made use of the latter two.
Thoroughly recommended but this is a popular practice and is always busy and frequently runs over time. This, however, is reassuring as it demonstrates that the practice and Dr Sedani are popular and that he ensures the finest treatment and will not rush, even if this disrupts scheduled times.
I have spent a great deal of time (and money!) in this practice and have no hesitation recommending it to anyone.

I only went to North Hill as my daughter spoke to Cheryl the coordinator about me, and my problem with my teeth she made me an appointment to see Sachin, so after being told by my previous dental practice that I couldn’t have implants and after wearing dentures for 30 odd years being told by Sachin that I would be able have implants was like winning the lottery!! But my only problem was I’m absolutely petrified of the dentist!!! But having been totally reassured by Cheryl the coordinator (who was so very kind and reassuring) having the oral sedation over total sedation (which was an added expense) I went ahead and booked in.
Sachin and nurse Lily where absolutely amazing, the technology they use is beyond amazing, they put me at ease straight away told me everything that was happening, if I wanted to stop at any time, kept asking if I was ok all the time, didn’t feel a thing and I wasn’t nervous at all, tablets really helped. I cannot thank them enough they where just fantastic and have given me back my confidence with my amazing new teeth, no more hiding behind my hand when talking to people and most amazingly choosing whatever I want off a menu!!! Rather than scouring it trying to find something that wouldn’t pull my dentures out🤣🤣🤣 The after care is also 1st class nothing is too much trouble, gave me there mobile number and said text/ring anytime if I had any problems.
I would 100% recommend North Hill they are truly amazing, Thank you all so much for your kindness and giving me back my smile xx

Pleasant and friendly

The clinical work is first class had extraction and implant prep, the dentist Sachin absolutely excellent takes time to explain keeps up the reassurance during treatment and his assistant nurse is 2nd to none. The issue is the back office staff. It is difficult to get hold of reception they promise call backs that don’t happen. I would have moved long ago if the actual dentist wasn’t so good

I’ve had more than four appointments cancelled on the day — including one that was cancelled 20 minutes after I’d already arrived at the practice.
I had a filling done towards the back end of last year, and the tooth hasn’t felt right since. I’ve tried several times to arrange a follow-up appointment but haven’t been able to get anywhere. I also asked for the practice manager to call me, and after 2–3 weeks I still haven’t heard anything back.
During the appointment the dentist was more interested in flirting with the dental nurse than properly focusing on my treatment, which didn’t exactly inspire confidence.
I’ve never written a review before, but I felt compelled to because of how poor my experience with this practice has been over the last few years. There have been other issues too, but I can’t be bothered to go into them all.
Maybe other people have had a better experience, but for me this has genuinely been one of the worst experiences I can remember with any healthcare provider. Best of luck if you decide to use them.

Firstly let me start by saying that the team on north hill are brilliant professionals, kind friendly and kavi did amazing with my Invisalign treat from start to finish. So when they suggested an implant it made sense to continue with north hill clinic and I did not even consider going anyway else however for the implants I was switch to layer road clinic. And that is where the issues being whilst I have only praise for Cheryl who is sachin assistant (I believe) who is helpful and friendly the same can not be said for him or the reception staff general. My list of complaints are long and some minor however every single appointment has been cancelled/rearranged by the practice and my last one which is to install the implant was originally booked for January I am now about to go into May and the appointment has just been CANCELLED AGAIN each time I get a text message no call or explanation and on the last occasion I left 3 messages asking for a call back to reschedule and and explanation when just to add insult to injury they send the standard confirmation text 2days before my original appointment to confirm it when I called again asking what what happening the receptionist openly said they didn’t know if dr would be well enough so they were edging their bets!!! I have asked for a call from the practice manager today but safe to say I hold no confidence in this clinic well this site such a shame as north hill was so different.
waiting 5 months to have the actual treatment (for it to be cancelled again either no fixed date is ridiculous a treatment I am paying thousands of pounds for at that !

Great treatment, real friendly dentist and assistant

The clinic and team at North Hill is second to none. I had a delightful experience start to finish, and felt very well looked after by everyone. I had several sessions of treatment with the brilliant Dr Armin who completely transformed my oral health and smile! I would highly recommend this practice and its wonderful staff to anyone looking for high quality dental care.

Dr Mungi, was very good from the start and explained everything in detail at every visit.

My daughter had a complex start needing blocks and tongue practice and Dr Mungi and her team were great. I didnt feel rushed along the treatment road and even today when the braces finally came off she wanted to make sure we were happy.

We are super happy with the results.

Wish I had of read trust pilot reviews for this dental practice before spending my time and money with them.

Honestly the only word that comes to mind is useless. They can’t return emails or phone calls, they don’t seem to be able to stick to anything they say they are going to do, me constantly chasing them. Just really disappointing, never known such an incompetent business.

Recently I went for a dental checkup, and my dentist Luma and her assistant Richa were so nice to me: both really lovely, professional in everything they did, and explained everything which eased my nerves.
Absolutely would recommend them if you have any worries.

I could not be happier with the treatment care and support I received from Sachin and Lilly. They have been on the end of the phone 7 days a week.

I've been a patient of NH dental for a while. I've had nothing but the best of care from the whole team. Recently had 2 implants placed by Sachin, was quick and pain free experience. His nurse was excellent both kept me informed and checking in on me through the entire process.
Can't recommend them highly enough. I did call around other practises for implant quotes luckily they were the cheapest in Colchester so bonus.
