This company is a total scam. They use deceptive practices, don't deliver products and charge a restocking fee even if the product was never sent or processed. Their order process doesn't link to the documents that they 'reveal' after you order. if you search on the name of their customer server manager you get "No information found" from google. Right now they claim to have given me a partial refund, but even that hasn't actually shown up. (After 7 days).

DO NOT PURCHASE FROM HERE-
Order was confirmed to ship in 10 to 20 days and it never changed. I tried to contact them to get an update, they must only use email because 3 phone calls and messages went unanswered. At business day 20 I email and was sent a snarky reply with a screenshot of the shopping page with a 45 day to ship time but my account page and actual order still said 10-20 days. I sent back the current screenshot of their site order page as proof. (Who really goes back to a shopping page when a company makes you register for an account?) I asked in my email that if the order was not actually shipping that day to cancel the order and refund my money. The rep fought with me for two days in email replies until she said she canceled the order and would refund me IF the order had not shipped. Note that the order was completed not canceled on my account page and so I have waited another 7 days without any tracking updates. I emailed again and now have to wait more for my refund.
Do not purchase from this company.

I ordered an ergonomic chair so I could continue to work from home. Every step of the online order process clearly stated this chair would arrive between 7 to 14 business days. The delivery time was also confirmed in writing by the order receipt and the confirmation email I received.

After 10 days, I noticed that the item had not yet shipped so I contacted the seller. I left a voicemail and I also emailed. After I didn't hear from the seller, I eventually decided to cancel my order.

At this point, the seller sent me rude emails and a doctored screen capture that showed a 2-month delivery timeline even though I provided written proof confirming otherwise. They preferred to argue rather than provide me with a refund, so I had to file a dispute with PayPal.

The BBB of New Jersey has given this business an F and put out an alert based on multiple reports from consumers that Office Chair At Work is taking orders and processing payments, but not delivering the merchandise or delivering poor quality merchandise. This is not an isolated incident but a pattern of behavior of deception and defrauding consumers.

It looked like a ligit offer. Apparently not. Six weeks later after many calls and Emails, no response.

I got my chair and it's in good shape. Shipping was fine but a bit comical - basically just plopped the chair in the front porch with a box over it. The upgraded wheels are really nice, but I was a bit annoyed they didn't also include the original wheels which are lower to the ground. The actual chair I ordered kinda stinks as a desk chair due to seat height and angle. Anyways, I'd order from here again.

I got what I paid for, a cheap, used chair at a prive that was too good to be true. Website uses misleading timer tactics as well as poorly title products. Shipping took longer than website indicated. BBB Rating for this company is horrible.

Wish I had a time machine to un-do this mistake.

Two stars because I got exactly what I ordered (despite being lead to believe I ordered something better), and their customer services was responsive about shipping delays.

Awful experience. It took almost a month to get a refund on an order that was canceled withen a few hours . Several emails , several phone calls and had to dispute it with my bank . When I did get the refund they took 46.00 dollars to cancel it . Never shipped and never prepared to ship . Saying there was a ten percent credit card fee ??

This company is a SCAM. Do not order. I still have not received merchandise or a refund. The customer service team did not respond to my initial inquiry for weeks, nor did they send my chair. But, When I filed a formal complaint with the BBB they responded to that complaint within minutes. Sickening!!! They are obvious pros at being a scam artist.
Rude people and a completely miserable experience. I was simply looking for a chair to work from home and they never delivered! Meanwhile, I have ordered and received my Herman Miller Aeron chair brand new within two weeks from another company! Do yourself and favor and don't risk it. Complete losers.

This company is a ripoff...I purchased a New Chair (leap Chair) a year ago..
I purchased a second Chair (leap Chair) recently, didnt realize it was used...showed up with dirt on the Seat and the wheels..I contacted them told them i thought i was buying a New CHair..They sent me a label...and they Reimbursed me $60.00 off what i paid...Even after i asked them to apply what i paid towards a new Chair...I contacted them...and what i got was Screw you...Will be filing Complaint with the Better Business Bureau...Terrible Business Practices...

Be ok with getting old used furniture. I ordered the Amia and was sent one originally constructed in 2011 and its condition reflects that. When I requested an exchange for new or full refund I was offered a 10% partial refund only. Reason? I was referred to their T&C page where deep in the fine print is found the statement that all they sell is “reconditioned” or used. Not my best decision. I did get timely responses to emails and the product shipped in less than 10 days. But the product and the advertising of it I believe to be misinformed or deceptive.

This company is a complete SCAM. You'll regret for doing business with them. They lure you to buy and pay for it. After that you will get a crappy chair and they will charge restocking fee. Please avoid. They live on return fee and restocking fee and nothing else to offer.

Waited about 3 to 4 weeks to tell me the chair I ordered was not instock. I would look somewhere else if you need an office chair.

This website is a total scam - Save yourself and please don't do it. You may be lucky and get a chair but chances are you won't or it will be crap.

Currently under active investigation with Paypal and Chase to get my money back.

They may ask you to close your paypal case. DON'T DO THIS. Look at the timestamps on the pictures i've posted.

March 9th - Request Refund after cancelling the order; They agreed
March 31st - NO REFUND YET - Opening a paypal case
March 31st - "plz close case"
May 6th - No refund to date. Ignoring all communications.

Later on - they submitted a fake tracking number to Paypal who denied my claim since somethign was delivered. Don't count on Paypal to protect you.

Edit 5/8 - This guy who claims he runs a business responded and claims I am trying to scam him, I have not received my refund yet and have confirmed with Chase & Paypal this is the case. You can't trust these guys because if they are willing to forge tracking, you bet they are going to forge some additional records. I am not looking for additional money; I just want MY money back.
ALSO... this dude says why did I not "not wait a few days" Dude. 3 weeks is not a "few days". Look at the timestamps.

THIS COMPANY GETS YOU SO ANGRY IT ISN'T WORTH IT. I WOULD PAY THIS MUCH TO GET THE RELIEF I HAD BEFORE I KNEW THIS COMPANY EXISTED.

Still no refund as of 6/1 - this company and all of their workers are clowns.

Read their Terms of Service in full before you buy anything. Their guarantee is completely and utterly worthless, as evidenced plainly in their terms of service where they state that their various guarantees (including warranty and free returns) are at their discretion and they have no obligation to follow them. They also claim that they can retroactively revoke any of their services without prior notice (including warranty). If you cancel an order, they'll also keep 10% of the order amount if you ever do manage to get a refund at all.

I placed an order on April 3. I inquired on April 8 if I could simply pick it up, as their location is close to me and my order had not yet shipped. I received a response saying that orders take 10 to 15 business days to ship. I figured I'd give them a few more days but eventually requested cancellation on April 20th, as the order had still not shipped. They canceled the order on April 22nd (13 business days after ordering) and advised I would have a refund in 7 days. April ended, and in early May I filed a charge back with my credit card company. The next day, I had the chargeback credit and also a 90% refund issued by Office Chair at Work (12 days after they claimed I would have a refund within 7 days).

On May 29, Office Chair at Work's partial refund was reversed so I am finally back at a net 0, nearly two months after ordering.

I would pay full retail for a chair before I would order anything from this company again.

Like many others who have posted here, I placed an order and never received the merchandise. When I would contact them about the chair I ordered the response was always very similar to "it is going out soon". After a month I cancelled the order. However, I only received a partial refund which I am disputing. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY!

My headrest never shipped!

I bought a headrest with them 50 days ago, and it never shipped. I sent several emails asking about when I should expect it to be shipped and they keep saying "next week".

I have read all negative reviews which I found at least one week after I have placed my order there. Naturally, it made me wonder if I made a right decision to purchase my chair here, at least for a short time. Yes, It took exactly three weeks between placing my order and receiving the chair but it was absolutely worth of it. First of all, I had NO communication problems, and all my inquiries were responded in very timely manner. They did not lie about anything. In fact, I got even a better model than I bargained for. I will definitely come back for another chair if needed, and will recommend this business to all my friends who are looking for a high quality office chair for a reasonable price. Thanks, a very pleased customer.

I placed an order for a Herman Miller chair last month. After looking further at the website, I realized the company was not selling new chairs and I read the bad reviews. Within minutes of placing the order, I cancelled it and received a cancelation confirmation, with a note saying I'd received a refund in 5-7 days. After there was no refund, I sent another email (this company never answers the phone) and received a refund, less 10%. The explanation was that there are "considerable costs" relating to cancelled orders. What costs can be incurred in a few minutes? The company then referred me to their fine print, which says that they reserve the right to charge "actual costs" for cancellations. Again, what costs? After contacting the company repeatedly to ask for an explanation, the representative told me they would waive the cancellation fee if I gave them 5 stars for customer service -- in advance of receiving the refund. Wow. SO, do not use this company, they are not ethical.

Purchased chair. Two weeks went by and checked status of order. Wasn't going to ship for another week or two. I needed a chair due to working from home, so I ended up buying one locally. I canceled my order with OfficeChairatwork.com and finally after about a 1/2 dozen emails, they refunded only 90% of my money. They never mentioned why it was only 90% until I specifically asked and then they said "we have a 10% cancellation fee." This is a violation of NJ state law and just really bad business. If they would have just refunded my money, I probably would have considered them in the future. DON'T DO BUSINESS WITH THESE FOLKS!

TOTAL SCAM. Bought a $650 chair and didn't hear from these people for a month. When I start inquiring, all BS. Finally I ask for a refund and they charge me a 10% restocking fee on something they never shipped! Buyer Beware!
