Love the natural wood cutting board. An item to love and cherish but asking to find out how to care for it. Does it needs oiling with wood oil before use? Does it needs a quick rinse with water, dried before oiling?

Look forward to doing more custom with your shop. Good luck with your business. A lovely shop selling only masterpieces of domestic items.

Very quick to process and ship order however I would suggest they review shipping methods as Royal Mail handed off to Canada Post where it foundered for a few weeks without tracking or updates (Covid delays). A courier that serves end to end would be better. Not the sellers fault of course.
Knife is a beauty.

Purchased a magnetic knife block. Beautifully made, all communication from Japana Home was clear and product was delivered on time. I would recommend and use them again.

I bought a nice wooden knife board from Japana Home, one that stands up on the bench and you can attach knifes to without scratching them. It is a beautiful peace of art by itself and looks gorgeous in our kitchen. All my beautiful knives are now no longer hidden away and have finally found a good home. Thank you Japana Home.

Nothing against the quality of the items ordered but the packaging was really borderline. I've received my shipment in a very bad condition and luckily nothing was deteriorated.
Based on the price of the items you should consider a better protection of your products. Don't hesitate to separate them and do multiple shipments if size and weight are very different. I know it could become more expansive but... I'm not sure if you should risk or gamble on the awareness of transport companies.
I'm ordering similar japanese items in an other website (US) and they are a more attentive on this transportation issue.
Based on this experience I will not take the risk in the future to purchase via your website.

Super excited having traditional knife from Japana. Didn't want to believe it (my boyfriend showed me one Japanese knife) but now I'm converted 😛 They are super sharp and wouldn't go back to my cheap daily knives. You only need to practice a little bit as the shape is a bit different from the Western ones 🙂. But what is most important it's super pretty and you can feel and see craftmanship.

I purchased three different products, two Japana branded - the stand and a Kimono pillow and one Japanese knife. All were amazing quality and I'm sure they will last me for years. I'm happy to have found this shop and will be back for more!

A terrible experience from beginning to end. 4 weeks after my initial order of a knife block I was promised it the following week. It never appeared. Having then sent 2 further emails it was only after cancelling the order on PayPal did I receive further communication. I was given excuses that did not add up and led me to doubt the knife rack had ever been made, in spite of the fact I had been told it was on its way. I was offered discount and promised th E order would be prioritised. When I reordered the discount was insulting and I was asked if I wanted an alternative colour, as this would be quicker to make. I found the last part confusing as I had been previously told my intial order was enroute, leading me to doubt anything else I had been told. 7 weeks later I am back to square one. And would never buy anything from Japan again
