Still unwilling to follow the law
After the last review I left the defensive and denying response reply from Otic has been the only contact with me they have been willing to make, contunually ignoring my recent attempts to contact them to resolve the issues. I think that itself should highlight some of the issues they need to rectify with their company and that approach to their customers
My most recent experience with otic is that they have part refunded me claiming their policy is final although it still doesn't follow the law.
Otic are still not responding to me when I try and contact them for any confirmation regarding why they still have not refunded me inline with the law.
They still claim there's damage to packaging of the item returned, and that they are charging a restocking fee. I have asked repeatedly for confirm what this damage is and also informed otic repeatedly the restocking fees are not legal and sent them a link to the guidance from trading standards on this. And sent a paste of the section of the trading Standards guidance showing this.
It's not enough to deny and be defensive when customers have negative experiences, the customer service procedure then should be to understand what their negative experiences were and what can be done to rectify it not to try and set up some system of delaying customers' responses ignoring them & writing in policy or outdated and illegal procedures that justify your means for keeping some of their money when you have no right to. This kind of business practice just has no place in today's world.
Some final tips and advice for otik:
check the guidance that is freely available online, review your policy and procedure especially around returns and refunds, stop treating customers who have poor experiences as the problem, and try to understand that the problem might be the way that your services and procedures are set up & that is what's causing the negative experiences.
Also understand that people have the right to return items, ask for refunds, cancel contracts or complain about things that they purchase, they are not being awkward or difficult they are just following the law if they've changed their mind about an item or it's not fit for their purposes. Consider that if the company makes it difficult for customers to do these things, and doesn't review their practices according to current guidance and law, that they might be the ones being awkward and difficult.
After all this I'm still awaiting to hear from you, and you still don't seem to be willing to follow the law. Hopefully you refund the rest of my money that you have no right to keep, and hopefully you review your practices and don't be so defensive about people having poor experiences with you

OTIC was honest about possible shipping delays when item ordered.
OTIC was the only company that listed the Fiio BTR15 in blue so went with them.
Unfortunately, the item was out of stock, but in their warehouse in China.
Craig informed me that because of the Chinese New Year, the item would have a delay in shipping & that i could either buy the Black version or wait for the blue one.
I opted to wait.
Good choice as the item arrived today (13-03-24) as expected, a few weeks after ordering.
All communication with Craig at OTIC has been great & the companies transparency about the delay was reassuringly refreshing.
Glad i bought through them as the BTR15 is amazing in sound quality & use.
Next time i need some audio gear, if it's on their website, i will not hesitate to buy from them.
Thoroughly recommended.

very helpful customer service - great product
I ordered a Fiio cassette player, but it was a present and it turned out that it couldnt be delivered in time. Got on to customer service and they sorted the cancellation of that order and delivery of a "We are Rewind" KEITH model - awaiting refund on the first order but everything was there on time. The cassette player is better than expected and Im sure there will be other orders as a result...

Top service, ordered Monday at 6pm, delivered Wednesday afternoon. The IBasso DX 170 has more settings than you can shake a stick at, so very impressed. I'm happy just to hit shuffle and press play.
