Peak Design excels in product design, quality, and service
I am a long time customer of Peak Design with over 10 products and counting. I recently moved to a different country wherein PD products are harder to find and at a significant premium.
I reached out to PD customer service for guidance and assistance to find a way to purchase a few products and was blown-away by the excellence in service provided by their associate Jacky, who provided unmatched turn-around-time, email responses in less than a minute, and a combination of professionalism and compassion that are hard to find nowadays.
PD produces some of the best thought-through products of excellent quality and have maintained that standard at a level that is hard to match. Excellent products by lovely people, keep up the exceptional work.

Peak Design’s Unfair Warranty Change Betrays Loyal Asian Fans
As a die-hard Peak Design fan since 2020, I’ve invested deeply in their ecosystem—starting with the Everyday Sling 6L, I quickly collected the full set of 3L, 6L, and 10L Everyday bags, plus both the Leash and Slide straps. What drew me to PD initially was their trusted "lifetime warranty" promise and reputation for durable, reliable gear. For years, every product exceeded my expectations, and I proudly recommended PD to fellow photographers and travelers.
However, my loyalty has been shattered by their recent unfair warranty policy changes, especially targeting Asian customers. My gray 10L Everyday bag (purchased from PD’s authorized Shanghai physical store in 2023) recently developed unacceptable issues: yellowing fabric, a stuck zipper, and peeling waterproof coating—problems that should be fully covered by the lifetime warranty I relied on. When I submitted a warranty claim (Service Ticket No.: J7e2jLY5QKO3d6a45xsdMA) through PD’s official website in late 2025 via, my request was forwarded to Findings Group. Despite their polite response, they flatly rejected my claim solely because I couldn’t provide the original receipt—lost during a recent move.
What’s infuriating is the double standard, lack of transparency, and the flimsy excuses behind this policy shift. The official line is that the new rules are to crack down on counterfeit goods and second-hand warranty abuse—but this is a hollow justification for me. This 10L bag was registered with Peak Design via its product serial number ,which should be more than enough to prove its authenticity. There is zero room for this to be a counterfeit product, yet this fact was completely ignored by the support team. Worse still, Peak Design never once stated that the lifetime warranty was exclusive to original first-hand buyers before 2025. The sudden enforcement of this unspoken rule in the Asian region feels like a targeted slap in the face to long-term fans like me.
To add insult to injury, the policy enforcement has become absurdly rigid since the handover to Findings Group. I’ve seen many posts on Xiaohongshu (Little Red Book) where customers successfully claimed warranty without a receipt—they just wrote a simple handwritten statement of purchase and got their issues resolved. But now, despite me emphasizing my status as a loyal customer who has spent thousands on PD gear over five years, and explaining the practical difficulties of retrieving a lost receipt after a move, the team refused to budge an inch. There was no flexibility, no willingness to honor the spirit of the lifetime warranty promise—only cold, robotic adherence to a new rule that punishes genuine fans instead of targeting bad actors.
This feels like nothing short of discrimination against Asian customers and an extremely irresponsible betrayal of brand trust. Peak Design’s official website still proudly touts its lifetime warranty as a cornerstone of its commitment to sustainability and customer satisfaction, but these words are now empty and meaningless to me.
I am currently scrambling to find the lost purchase receipt. If I manage to locate it, I will resubmit the warranty claim—but my faith in the brand is already broken beyond repair. If I can’t find it, I will be switching all my camera bag needs to Bellroy, and I will never recommend Peak Design to anyone I know again. A brand that abandons its most loyal supporters for arbitrary, poorly thought-out policy changes does not deserve a single cent of our hard-earned money.

I own a number of Peak products. I honestly feel it's my little secret. In many settings, travel, photography automobile you'll find Peak products; phone case, capture clip, duffels, travel bags, packing cubes, etc. The amazing thing is their attention to detail consistently. I know when they come out with a new product its going to over-deliver and I love it!

Tenc diversos productes de la marca, i el passat agost amb el pre-llançament al kickstarter del tripode Pro ja vaig tenir un petit "frec" amb la gent de Peak, vaig voler accedir a la pre adquisició però després de molts intents i diversos bloquejos fou impossible, contactat amb el servei d'atenció al client simplement vaig tenir la sensació que es reien de mi a cara descoberta tot plegat un despropòssit de primera.
Ara fa unes setmanes al black friday, passà quelcom similar, pensant en comprar el tripode, a la pàgina de la marca hem varen oferir per mail un descompte adicional al que oferien amb el black com a incentiu de compra, però malauradament tampoc es pogué materialitzar . . .
Resultat de tot plegat, vaig comprar-me un Manfrotto de similars prestacions, fart de les beneïtures d'aquesta gent, crec que la política comercial així com l'atenció al públic s'ho han de fer mirar.
Amb aquest nivell de preu aquestes coses no poden passar.

I recently purchased a product which I had to return and exchange for another phone case as the size and type was wrong.After reurning the product and after sending multiple mails I have received nothing and no answer.Terrible customer support and they havent sent the product or refund after a month.
Frustrating customer service
Peak Design really does have incredible bags. But the process of returning my bag has been completely awful. Their customer service / returns department is incredibly slow to respond and resolve issues. I was initially never sent a label for my return and had to wait weeks to hear back about it. And since returning my bag, I've been completely ghosted by Peak Design. The return was received one month ago (according to my track-and-trace code) and still haven't heard anything yet and no money back.
If you want to buy from them, I highly recommend buying from another service with better customer service. Or perhaps from a physical store where you can make returns in person. It has now been over 2 months since I've started this return and I've yet to heard back. What an absolute nightmare.

Very poor customer service
I’m extremely disappointed with Peak Design’s customer service. My new Pro-Light Tripod arrived with a clear defect on one of the carbon-fibre legs. I emailed support immediately with photos, then sent two follow-up emails when I received no reply.
Days later, I still have no acknowledgement at all - no confirmation, no update, nothing.
For a product at this price point, the service should match the quality of the item. Instead, the complete lack of response has been genuinely shocking. The hardware might be excellent, but customer service this unresponsive seriously undermines the brand.
Very disappointed and expected much better.
