Always delivered on the stated date. Can tell it fresh food. Tastes great looks great makes life a little more simple not prep just cook and eat only critic is slightly over prised but in life you get what you pay for

Disgusting
Always a handful of the meals have split open and the inside of the packaging is wet outside packing is intact. Meals can’t be trusted to be safe to eat if not properly sealed. Most meals have extremely short dates.
Poor quality, poor customer service. No offer to get meals replaced even with the proof of pictures. No communication via email or social media.
Just use one of the many other meal prep companies.

For reassurance, all meals are dispatched with a minimum of 3 days’ shelf life (2 days for extended postcode areas), and they are suitable for freezing to help extend their use-by date if needed.

Disgrace of a company and terrible customer service
When my package arrived, one of the containers had been smashed and the sauce had leaked all over the other meals. The remaining meals had partially frozen due to direct contact with the ice packs and then defrosted again, leaving a milky, watery liquid inside the cartons. Because of this, they couldn’t safely be refrozen due to health and safety concerns, which left me with several meals I couldn’t use — and they only had four days left on the use-by date.
When I contacted the company, they more or less dismissed my concerns. I was told that this “couldn’t have happened” and that the meals were fine to refreeze, which contradicts basic food safety guidance. They only offered a refund for the single smashed meal and refused to take responsibility for the rest of the order.
To be honest, the meals didn’t look appetising anyway, and the one I did try was extremely bland and tasted strongly of the plastic container it came in.
Overall, very disappointing quality and even worse customer service. I would strongly advise others to avoid this company.

We can see that you contacted our Customer Service team and that a refund was offered for the damaged item. We’re sorry if you felt your wider concerns weren’t fully acknowledged, that’s never our intention.
Safety and quality are of paramount importance to us here at Muscle Food, which is why all of our meals are thoroughly tested to ensure that they are safe to be frozen at home by consumers, even though they have already been frozen. This is in line with government guidance to ensure the correct shelf life of products.
If there were any additional items that were damaged or unusable, please provide details and any supporting photos to our Customer Service team, and they will be more than happy to review this.

Tasty low calorie meals
Fast delivery, meals are so tasty and perfect for a lunch. All meals I have had have pretty low calories with a decent amount of protein. Reasonably enough priced as well especially with the discount for a subscription.

Loyal customer now leaving
I have been using Prepped Pots for 3 years now, even back when they were under the Muscle Food name. Always been happy and have regularly recommended; sadly, this is no longer the case.
They have had a redesign it seems, and sadly, it has not worked. Packaging is now much worse and more fiddly, proving difficult to store and even carry to work due to the size and a film that you can not remove.
Food quality has dropped; the last 3 meals have to be cooked for 9 minutes now, and still come out full of water with the sauces even separating in the pot still. They are still cheaper than most other competitors, but I can now understand why.

We’re sorry to hear that the new packaging has felt less practical and more difficult to use, particularly for storage and taking to work. That’s certainly not the intention behind any redesign. We’re also concerned to hear your comments about the cooking time, excess water and sauce separation, as consistency and convenience are key to the product experience.
Your feedback will be shared directly with our product and packaging teams, as changes should enhance the experience not detract from it. We genuinely value long-term customers like yourself, and we’re sorry this update has left you feeling let down.
Awful. Mouldy green furry chicken.
I wish you could attach photos to these reviews. We received an in date Thai Green curry in our subscription box which had mouldy, furry green chicken in it. Appalled, I contacted customer service requesting a refund for the whole box, as we were put off eating the others, wondering if the consume by dates were even accurate? Customer service shoddy, offered a £10 voucher towards the next order, despite saying I won't be ordering anymore. Nudged it to £15 off the next order, ignoring the fact I said I won't be making further purchases. Health risk, don't bother. Unsure if they're using a new supplier or if cutting costs but this was disgraceful.

We can see that you have been in contact with our Customer Service team regarding this matter. In some meals containing red onion, a natural colour reaction can occur where the pigments transfer onto other ingredients, sometimes creating a blue/green appearance. Red onions contain natural pigments called anthocyanins, which are highly sensitive to pH levels and can change colour depending on the environment within the meal.
That said, we completely understand how alarming this may have looked, and food safety is something we take extremely seriously. We can now see that a refund is being processed for the meals that were raised with us.

One of the food packages was burst and the contents leaked.
A lovely person on your team apologised for this after I complained. She offered a discount on my next order, but incredibly, it can’t be applied to subscriptions, so the resolution was unsatisfactory and ridiculous when you consider that resolutions can’t offered to loyal subscribers.

The quality is alright not bad but not…
The quality is alright not bad but not brilliant. Some of the meals didn't have a lot of certain things like a meal only had 1 broccoli and it was pretty much just the stem. The taste is either pretty good or bland and not much taste. I'd maybe give it another go if there was more meal options.

New packaging is very annoying!
No issues with the new recipes for the ready meals but they've switched from tubs to the trays with the peel-back plastic film that you can't actually peel back without shredding it. Very annoying with meals that you have to stir halfway through
