Bullies , Intmidation, Punishment

Bullies, standover tactics, abuse, neglect, intimidation. They read these reviews and are " good with it " Read the reviews of 1000s of suffering members at the hands of these pri***s. They will leave you abandoned and homeless and God help you if you complain. Once you complain about their abuse, you will BE GHOSTED and punished. The Hypercare team WILL ghost you and block you. Save yourself the heartache and go elsewhere. 3k a year to be treated like a pig by these crims at Eight Mile Plains. I am planning a mass protest at Motofest 2025, channel 9 will be there, who else here is being spoken down to and yelled at by RACQ wants to join us ?

The worst insurance company ever

The worst insurance company ever , anything to get out of paying a claim , but lightning fast to take your money, my boat swamped , contacted RACQ they took the particulars of events and assured me that they would contact me on the Monday two weeks later I’m still waiting , bloody hopeless , sold my boat in the interim and will cancel my policy with them , I will never insure with this company again ever , just bloody hopless .

Appalling service in Stanthorpe Qld…

Appalling service in Stanthorpe Qld told me couldn't get a tow for about 10 hours because they were so busy but I live 4doors away I saw tow truck sitting out back off shop all day very dissatisfied I want my money back such a dishonest service

Racq

Racq , house insurance, what a joke. 37 yrs of house insurance and not made claim My solar inverter stopped working , called a solar electrician , he inspected the unit and advised he could replace it the next day . Being proactive I said yes . Rang Racq and advised them.and we took photos of everything. Well they refused the claim because an Racq accessor had not seen the unit or approved it. This is despite their original approval, all photos processed and dated and Racq verifying independently with the electrician the work performed . Racq you are a joke

Horrible and scary experience

Had a horrible experience today with RACQ. My sister and I were driving on the Warrego Highway and ended up with a flat tire. We called RACQ, who told us they don’t come out on the highway and that they would look into it and get back to us, but they never did. A lovely man who drove past us saw us there on his way somewhere, and on his way back, noticed we were still there in the heat waiting. This man offered to change the tire for us, and we are so grateful to him. We are extremely disappointed with RACQ. I personally am a gold member and am not sure if I will stay with them under this kind of treatment. We ended up sending a text message to the last person who told us he would call us back and let us know what they could do, to say we no longer needed them, just in case they were thinking about coming eventually. They never replied. Thanks a lot, RACQ. Bad service.

Didn't assess the car properly

Didn't assess the car properly. Have been without car for 3 months. Claiming the damage is wear and tear when it clearly isn't. We have taken the step to go to AFCA. Useless the entire business.

Care Factor=Zero

I instigated an online chat to gain some insight into a 21% increase in my Home and Contents Insurance. The wheels fell off almost immediately. The consultant kept referring me to RACQ’s website where I could find answers.
I already had other quotes before starting the chat. One, for exactly the same cover was $335 cheaper per month.
A simple ‘no’ was given in answer to a price match. Most of the chat from there was unsavoury. It appears RACQ does not value customer loyalty (I’m a 44 year member veteran).
Two suggestions were made to reduce the premium:
1. Increase the excess
2. Decrease the amount insured
Zero out of ten for helpfulness. Minus one for addressing my concerns. Negative eight for customer service. I’ve pulled my two policies and gone elsewhere.

Shut cants

What happened?? Absolutely feckking useless mechanics, I had to buy tools to help old mate get my bottom starter bolt loose.
He definitely did NOT like getting dirty.
Just a complete fecking Muppet of a human being with a room temperature IQ.
You used to be able to join and then get someone to come 'help" you, now it costs like another $140 for the roadside assistance you just paid for.
Maybe if you spent less in advertising and spent more money on finding actual mechanics, we.... The people might actually get what we deserve.
Just absolutely putrid, literally left me stranded.

RACQ fails members

they say they are there for their "members", this is completely untrue. after a long confusing complaint process they sided with their repairer costing us $5500 to repair an engine worked on by an RACQ repairer and overheated after 1 days drive. The written response contained lies and was nothing like the facts we presented. they don't care.

Cancelling Long term member of RACQ

Long term member of RACQ - 40 year+
I have NEVER had a good, not even reasonable. The problem is related to the administration, long wait periods, calls not returned if the phone drops out so you have to go through the details - the waiting on the phone to talk to a person , poorly trained staff, not the mechanics who have attended the vehicles. Oh and the call begins by threatening you - they will hang up if you are not polite. Some insurance companies offer roadside assist. I find this option a far less stressful. Bring back customer service

RACQ does not take responsibility

RACQ prides itself on offering Interstate coverage for roadside assistance. However, once a problem occurs the paying customer will be send from pillar to post. In my case, I received roadside assistance from a MRNA patrol instead of a RACQ patrol. The patrol missed the real car issue leaving me with a debt of $7000. Both companies are expected to act competently and responsibly in providing such services but both companies failed to take responsibility for my complaint or to show any form of empathy, particularly in the form of compensation. IT TRULY IS DISGRACEFUL especially when realising they made an annual profit of over 7 million dollars!!!

I ran out of fuel left wallet at home I couldn't book the fuel to pay later I'm from Perth and a member of rac which apperamtly the same company as RACQ poor service they left a old man on a disability pension for back injuries leaving me no choice but to walk home and it's Christmas love the empathy level of our Australian busineses shame on you RACQ I'll be cancel ING my membership and going to another firm

DO NOT INSURE WITH RACQ

I am a loyal Gold RACQ customer with 2 motor vehicle policies, plus Home and Contents insurance. Our fridge leaked and caused water damage to our kitchen, family and meals areas. It has been 6 weeks since our claim and we are still walking on concrete floors! Nightmare to deal with. We are not happy customers. We will be seeking insurance elsewhere.

Needed a jumpstart for the first time…

Needed a jumpstart for the first time after being a member for nearly 40 years.when calling the 13 number got through to what I assume was a call centre as the smart id was "The French connection Myer Maroochydore" The person had no idea abut cars refused to send a service car to us as we were on an on ramp to the freeway but insisted we had to use a tow truck. The police officer in attendance even spoke to him as said he was parked behind us blocking the lane with flashing lights. 1 hr 30 min later we were towed to a petrol station 30 min after that we got the car started by Racq. I have just cancelled our 2 cars membership. Worst service ever not worth the money

Appalling customer service & Disrespectful

I was involved in a very minor vehicle accident today where the other person and I did all the correct things and have exchanged well wishes even hours later.
RACQ customer service is appalling, shocking and disrespectful. I was spoken over, yelled at, spoken down to and not at all listened to when I promptly returned an RACQ message to contact them as a claim had been lodged. My name didn’t come up on the system as being a valued customer with them and was treated incredibly poorly, when my family and I hold multiple policies in my partners name. I can honestly say I didn’t think what I experienced today was possible or allowed. I have informed the other driver who made the claim of my experience and is also shocked.
Highly recommend moving insurance policies to a company that has respect for all people and not just the ones they think they are going to get money out of.

Jan, from the call centre you need re training. I rang for assistance and was asked am I the driver, nō. Informed me I needed to be the driver of the vehicle or they could not help.. I have Ultra Care roadside assistance. Which covers what ever vehicle, I just need to be there. 30.10.24

Big ups to the roadside man who came n changed our tyre.

I had a very disappointing experience…


I had a very disappointing experience with RACQ. After locking my keys in my BMW, the company sent a patrol, despite knowing they couldn't access my car due to its make. I ended up paying $160 for a service that was ineffective, on top of my $100 membership fee.
The patrol technician, Jake, arrived quickly but informed me that unlocking my car was too difficult and that the locksmith was unavailable until Monday. He left me stranded an hour from home without offering a ride or any further assistance.
When I called on Monday, I learned the locksmith was now sick, and the operator merely suggested I "call back later." There was no effort to provide an alternative locksmith, even though Jake had indicated that assistance would be available.
I spoke with two managers, but neither showed any concern or willingness to help, nor did they offer a refund. My tools, essential for my work as a plumber, were locked inside, and I was unable to work that day. Overall, the lack of support and care from RACQ has left me extremely frustrated and disappointed. I cannot recommend their services.
