This is a formal complaint regarding my bus booking through redBus.

I paid around ₹1400 for a semi-sleeper bus service. However, the bus that arrived is completely different from the one shown and promised during booking. This is clear misrepresentation and cheating of passengers.
The delay of more than 1.5 hours due to heavy rain is understandable. But changing the bus type and providing a poor-quality replacement vehicle without prior notice is absolutely unacceptable.
Major issues faced during the journey:
Almost no leg space
Impossible to sit comfortably despite booking a semi-sleeper
Cannot stretch legs properly
Push-back seat does not recline properly because the last-row passenger gets disturbed
Extremely congested seating arrangement
Passenger comfort and safety completely ignored
This is not the service that was advertised or paid for. Collecting premium fare and then providing an inferior vehicle amounts to unfair trade practice and deficiency in service under the Consumer Protection Act.
This is a pure form of passenger exploitation.
I am a Municipal Councillor, and I will officially escalate this matter before:
Consumer Court
Motor Vehicles Department
Kerala Transport Authorities
Public grievance platforms and media if necessary
I have sufficient evidence including:
Booking confirmation
Photos/videos of the actual bus
Seat condition
Delay details
Service mismatch proof
RedBus cannot escape responsibility by blaming the operator. The platform is equally responsible for allowing misleading listings and cheating passengers after collecting money.
I demand:
Immediate clarification regarding the bus change
Compensation/refund for service mismatch
Strict action against the operator
Assurance that passengers will not be cheated like this again
Passengers are paying for promised comfort and safety — not for fraud and false advertisement.

ATLANTIZ Travels is a completely fake and irresponsible company.
Travel date: 30th April, Pune to Malvan.
The bus was cancelled just 30 minutes before departure and passengers were left stranded at the last moment. Later, the same bus was reportedly running again with passengers who paid much higher ticket prices.
This looks like a deliberate tactic to cancel cheaper bookings and sell the same seats at inflated rates. Many passengers said this has happened multiple times with this operator.
Such companies are destroying customer trust and creating unnecessary harassment for passengers. redBus should investigate this seriously and stop supporting operators involved in such unfair practices.
Passengers should be very careful before booking with ATLANTIZ Travels.

Pls note that red bus is good , driver is excellent and sincere however Indian culture reflects everywhere which shows poor time management and induction work . The charges of travel is high and the bus management is rude and looks not educated , and influenced by politician or someone like backing them. I travelled from Dahod to indore and all time on line message monitoring shows bus is on time . To my surprise when I arrived boarding point and inquired all said that bus shall arrive at 1830 hrs around however bus to of reflects 17:00 hrs . This is really unbelievable and the boarding point office made a joke on timing. I repeatedly asked him on time , he kept on bull shitting me that bus is coming in 20 -10 -10 … . I suffered 1.5 hrs in scorching heat and there is no sitting arrangements. I realised that India still working in 18th century and these are the important point where a good owners ruin his business by employing rude and uneducated persons .I am sure the owners must be involved or influenced by some politicians as in India business runs only by politicians assistance . Come at 18:30 hrs and what you gain by fooling customers. The driver already told me that bus will come at 18:30 and you clarify from office . How long in India people have to suffer . I had very poor experience with red bus…they cancelled my booking at the last moment and forced us to use their another option. Very very disgraceful behaviour by coordinators.

Due to confusion in boarding point selection, I contacted the driver in advance and requested to board at Hebbal instead of Tin Factory. The driver agreed and told me to reach by 8:40 PM. I reached nearby, but due to heavy traffic I was delayed by only a few minutes and continuously informed the driver that I was just 200 meters away. Still, the bus left without boarding me and I was asked to travel all the way to Devanahalli at night.
The tracking link provided was not working properly, so I had no proper live location updates. I spent additional time and money trying to catch the bus, but could not reach it.
The worst part is the customer support. I raised a complaint immediately and was repeatedly told to wait 48–72 hours. It has now been 10 days and the complaint is still showing “In Progress” with no proper resolution or refund.
This experience was stressful, unprofessional, and unacceptable. Customers deserve proper communication, working tracking links, and timely resolution instead of endless waiting.
GPS Tracking gone wrong
Last month, exactly April 22nd i booked a bus from Cochin to Bangalore. I was at my friend's place and as the GPS tracking showed that the Bus will reach my destination in 30 mins, i reached there. Then as per GPS bus took a uturn and went back to the central bus stand. While calling they didnt pick up. They responded to my call after 2 hours informing the bus will reach me in another 1 hour. Who will compensate the time i spend waiting there??

Very bad experience with the RedBus app. There is no proper customer care support if users face any issues. They simply blame the bus companies and do not take responsibility for customers' money. Please avoid using the RedBus app if possible, and directly book through the bus companies' websites. If you choose RedBus, you may face trouble until you reach your destination.

I traveled twice from Pune to Bilaspur using RedBus bookings and both times it was a complete waste of time and money. RedBus is not maintaining any quality standards for the bus operators listed on their platform. The buses were in very poor condition, seats were uncomfortable, cleanliness was bad, and basic facilities were not working properly. Instead of a comfortable journey, the whole travel experience became stressful and frustrating. Very disappointed with RedBus service and support.

Absolutely terrible experience. Zero customer service. Never trust RedBus if you expect real support when something goes wrong.
Most of their support is AI/chat-based, and reaching an actual human is a struggle. Even when you finally connect to someone, calls get disconnected randomly, there are no proper follow-ups, and complaints stay unresolved for months.
In my case, the bus dropping point was changed unexpectedly, and RedBus provided absolutely no help or accountability. Completely unreliable support system.

The worst bus customer support.... Im currently in the Bus going to Pune and the Bus AC is not working... the Bus bedsheet is torn. I was on hold for 10 minutes with the customer support team and then they cut the call without any response.... I even did an app chat with the customer support team and there was no response there too.

Dhriya Travels abruptly switched our booking from a sleeper coach to an old 3+2 seater bus with non-functional push-back seats, causing a 5-hour delay. We arrived at the designated point at 10:30 AM instead of the scheduled 5:30 AM.
Before departure, their representative promised a 50% refund via RedBus, but no amount has been credited to date.
This marks the third incident in the past month—our buses were canceled on the travel date the previous two times. It appears RedBus prioritizes commissions from operators over quality control, registering unreliable and fake travel agencies without oversight. After these experiences, I've deleted the RedBus app and will advise all my relatives, friends, and colleagues to do the same. It is always better to book directly from bus operator website.

Worst experience with redBus. I missed the bus by just 10 minutes, and the driver cancelled my ticket immediately without any support. No refund at all. This feels like cheating. Very unfair service and no proper customer care. Not recommended.
