bought a pair of 506 red wing super sole boots in 10/2024 by 9/2026 the soles had completely come apart the Red Wing store just said that's to bad . will try a different brand next time

Well-made boots, but terrible customer service. No free returns, so the boots cost me £25 to post which likely isn't even triple of what it cost Red Wing, and I am still awaiting my refund after 10 days of several phone calls. Abysmal.

When you go to the store be very specific about not wanting any WORKS shoes or soles. This is a lower end crafter that was introduced to Red Wing at some point in the last decade or so. These are the shoe parts that will mess up your feet! I accidentally bought a pair thinking they were regular Red Wings and I really regretted it. On my last visit they were using all three interchangeably, but they are NOT the same quality.

We had such an amazing experience at Red Wing in Lombard. Thanks to the wonderful employee Kim who helped my husband! She was incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely cared about making sure he got the right fit. She took the time to properly check his shoe size, balance, and everything else to make sure he was comfortable and had the right support.
Her customer service was absolutely outstanding, and you could tell she truly takes pride in helping people. Employees like her make such a difference! We are so grateful for all her help and will definitely be coming back. Red Wing is lucky to have such an amazing employee! ❤️

In October I was vouchered a pair of Red Wing boots by the company I work for. 4 months later the steel toe has broken through the seam in the shoe and cut a ravine in my big toe which eventually had to be amputated. Be very careful when buying these very poorly designed shoes. Unless you want to lose a toe.

I bought a pair of steel toes and insoles. I decided when I got home that I didn't want them because they were uncomfortable and hurt my feet badly. Tried to return them or exchange them and the woman at the counter was so rude to me. She refused to do anything about it. The shoes are poor quality and overpriced.

Purchased a pair of Red Wing work boots and after minimal wear the sole on one boot just started to deteriorate.
Contact customer service and after a few discussions, they agreed to do a full sole replacement for both boots.
I could not ask for a better experience!

I wish I had read these reviews before wasting my money on RedWing. All these reviews reflect my exact experience. Poor customer service from the store and also corporate, also poor quality at to high of a price. I will not be back.

Thankfully Red Wing gave us a full refund on the purchase. I'm still not happy as
I was hoping for a really high quality long-lasting pair of boots for my son. But at least they give us a full refund so I'm grateful for that.

On 4/7/26, we purchased the Red Wing Electrum
Style #5266. We purchased these boots with high hopes they would last a long time but only lasted 1.5 months before the interior heel material wore down to the plastic support struts rubbing on my heel and creating bleeding. I neglected to review the other ratings prior to the purchase, my error. I only had knowledge of the Red Wing brand being highly rated, and it is my fault for not researching before making this $193 purchase. I am working with Red Wing to see what can be done to either repair or refund this purchase. I am very sad they did not work out. I had a pair of steel toed red wings 20 yrs ago and they were fabulous.

Very poor customer service, I went to purchase a couple pair of boots on Palm Bay rd just off hwy i95.
Michael came out took a look at me and said I don’t play games I said you need to chill out he said I need to finish my lunch and walked to the back. He sent his associate Hannah she didn’t apologize for Michael, just proceeded to take my boot sizes

Poor product and even poorer customer service experience. For the first time in 21 years I needed to reach out to customer service for boots with the soles starting to separate in less than 12 months. Went to a store and talked to several “sales” people. I did my research on the warranty beforehand which is super vague about what is and is not covered. Basically at their discretion. The sales people were no help cause they could not give clarification as to what the warranty actually means just reference back to the website. Then I reached out to customer support and after feeling brushed off and unimportant. Felt even more unimportant after supplying all the requested images of the boots falling apart. Was told it’s normal wear and tear. Was then offered a $50 coupon towards another pair. Very mediocre effort and customer support.

I purchased Irish setters several years ago and stored them without much use. In new condition the poly... sponge layer in the sole deteriorated and crumbled separating the rubber sole from the bottom of the boot. This breakdown was evident on both pairs. I was told that they should not be stored but worn. I still believed this should not happen from sitting in a box. The sad part is that the rest of the shoe is good quality leather and stitch and quite strong but made useless because of this soft spongy layer which breaks down before overall boot wear. Customer service did finally agree to repair both sets at a minimal fee using a solid sole which should now wear evenly with the overall shoe / boot life. thank you RW customer care.

Bought boots that were made for to long date in boots 6 or 7 years old wore very little soles came off
In my opinion never buy a red wing super sole if has been made over a year

My redwing boots are awful!!! I don't even want to go to work because of these boots but it the only pair I have at the moment. I work as a technician installing internet and my feet are swollen on the regular. I walk with a limp now and I need to go to the doctors about my sore feet. It feels like rocks on my feet with basically zero comfort. I don't understand why my company buys these redwing garbage boots but I had to tell my story. Redwing boot are not good work boots and they're expensive. My boots cost $200. Glad it was a company vachor but still. I hate these boots and my feet may be damaged permanently.

I purchased RedWing boots two years ago. The first pair had a problem with the tongue, on the right boot. It had been stitched in at an angle. So I waited a couple of weeks for a replacement pair. When they finally came in a couple of months later, there was a loud scrunching sound from one of the boots, when I walked. So, I waited for replacement again.
Let's skip ahead to the fourth pair of boots. The right boot has a crooked tounge, and both boots squeek when I walk. I gave up...I'm wearing them, but I'm not happy.

I bough the classic chelsea amber harness about 3 weeks ago. The elastic on each boot started to fall apart after less than 2 weeks. The top of the elastic seems to have broken and lost some if the elasticity. This happened on each boot. I bought Red Wings because of the reputation for quality and so I'm really disapointed. I like the look and overall fit. I also emailed Red Wing about 2 weeks ago and no answer. I would be hard to recommend these in these conditions.

I thought they were good until they decided to go against their lifetime warranty on their premiere socks. So much for a "lifetime warranty" claimed on the package. Now they will only give u a (not the same) replacement pair, and then that's it. They stopped making the lifetime warranty socks, just because they don't want to warranty them any longer. They should refund everyone's money they paid for these at time of replacement. Maybe then they won't back out of lifetime warrantys!
