Service is unreliable. Having booked weeks in advance for a big halloween party, they sent me a therapist that did not have the correct materials or expertise. They ruined my event. I would only book them for events that are not important but nothing that requires professionals / expertise.

Happy with the ladies who did my nails and hair and make up for a wedding. Got a lot of compliments

Extremely disappointing experience – Poor service and even worse customer care

I had an absolutely terrible experience with RUUBY.

The makeup artist, Bianca, arrived late and the quality of her work was extremely disappointing. I had booked a professional makeup service for an important evening event, but I ended up having to remove and redo every part of the makeup myself.

I contacted RUUBY immediately, on the day of the appointment, to explain what was happening and how unacceptable the service was.

What shocked me even more was the company's response to my complaint.

Rather than taking responsibility and offering a reasonable solution, RUUBY asked me to provide photographs of the makeup. How was I supposed to photograph work that I had already removed and redone myself, while rushing to get ready for my event?

Even more surprisingly, their response included insinuations about my behaviour towards the makeup artist, which I found deeply unfair and inappropriate.

My friend also experienced problems with RUUBY, as her appointment was cancelled.

I fully understand that a platform may occasionally work with a professional whose work falls below expectations. However, the true measure of a company is how it handles complaints when something goes wrong.

Unfortunately, RUUBY's customer service has been just as disappointing as the original experience.

I would not recommend RUUBY based on my experience, particularly given the way my complaint was handled.

Nicky was friendly, considerate, professional and did exactly what I asked for and, more. My sister in laws was very stressed about the wedding to my brother and her facial and head and neck massage made her so relaxed and her face was glowing. My mum did not want her nails done at first but she ended up getting them done and was singing her praises afterwards. I would highly recommend Nicky for all your beauty therapy needs.

The ladies that did my nails were excellent. The color is perfect and they look incredible. Super happy. Would recommend in a heartbeat!

Booking was very easy, customers can view information about technicians/therapists when making a booking.
Arsida is a great hair therapist, she was punctual, efficient and cautious (she ensured I was not in any discomfort). She understood my requirement and fulfilled it perfectly.

I am extremely disappointed with my first experience using Ruuby for home beauty services.

To bring the bed and once bed arrived later , she asked me to pay 100 AED more … I booked waxing, manicure, and pedicure services, expecting a professional, premium experience.
Unfortunately, the Call center service fell far below expectations.

The waxing therapist arrived without a proper treatment bed and expected to perform the treatment on my personal bed, which I found completely unacceptable.

The manicure and pedicure products, nail polishes, and equipment were very basic, no different from those used in an ordinary salon.
For a service positioned and priced as premium, it’s not worthy to book service from Ruuby .

My understanding is that Ruuby operates as a booking platform connecting customers with different beauty service providers. Based on my experience, I see little justification for paying a premium when similar services can be booked directly through local salons at significantly lower prices.
This was my first and last experience with Ruuby, and unfortunately, I cannot recommend it.

Extremely disappointing experience with Ruuby – AED 496 wasted.

I’m based in Dubai and have a busy schedule, which is why I booked Ruuby for a classic French manicure and pedicure at my apartment. What should have been a convenient, relaxing experience turned into a stressful and upsetting one.

Both technicians were extremely rushed and repeatedly reminded me they had other clients to get to, making me feel like an inconvenience. They arrived with very limited colour options, were unhelpful when I expressed my concerns, and showed little interest in delivering a service I could be happy with.

The technician doing my hands failed to achieve a simple white French tip despite attempting it and rubbing it off FIVE times. I eventually had to ask her to stop. I was left with uneven nails of different shapes and lengths and a finish that was simply unacceptable.

There was no genuine apology, no effort to resolve the issue, and absolutely no concern for my experience. I now have to find time to go elsewhere to fix my nails, completely defeating the purpose of booking a home service.

Charging AED 496 for such poor workmanship and customer service is unacceptable. I will be sharing photos of the results and hope Ruuby takes this complaint seriously. I would not recommend this service based on my experience.

Neta was amazing. Best hair I've had done on Ruuby. Will absolutely book her again! Ruuby in general is my go-to for hair and make-up.

Great app with truly experienced professionals- I use them for regular facials and massage with the same 2 therapists, great app easy to use and really great treatment options

I was extremely disappointed with both the makeup and hairstyling provided by this artist. On top of everything else, she charged me extra for using a hair straightener, even though she didn’t even straighten my hair properly.
It was only when I arrived at the restaurant that I realised just how badly my makeup had been done. There were huge red patches of blush on my cheeks, and my lipstick had been applied unevenly, leaving my lip line looking crooked.
What makes this even more upsetting is that it was my birthday, and I spent almost three hours getting ready with this artist. Such a waste of time and money, especially on such a special day.

Rachel arrived on time and was very friendly. She did what I asked for my hair and makeup and picked the perfect colours for me for my son’s wedding. I would highly recommend Rachel

As soon as they get your contact details you will get spammed texts, emails and notifications. Someone in their marketing department thinks daily spam is the way to build relationships

Avoid - total trash

I asked the stylist when I booked the apt if she could clip in my extensions (that I own) and I got no reply. I asked again the day before the apt and she said she could for an additional amount. I wasn't willing to pay the amount she stated and so I cancelled within the allotted cancelling time. This was my first time using RUUBY and I was really surprised that they didn't refund me the full amount. I contacted them and they said they keep the booking fee, even if I cancel within the permissible period. What a scam. They already charge so much. Worth it to go somewhere else.

I had a really positive experience, booked a full head of highlights, Cristina did an amazing job, the communication was great as was the service! Will definitely use again!

Absolutely horrendous experience. My masseuse smelt of smoke, the towels and bed.

This was my first time using the app, and unfortunately, I was very disappointed with the service. The hairdresser was on time and friendly, but the actual styling was far below what I expected.

I booked a bespoke blow-dry, which was supposed to take 45 minutes, but the service was finished in less than 30 minutes. A significant portion of my hair wasn’t even curled, and the overall finish looked rushed and incomplete. I expected a much more professional and polished result, especially for a bespoke blow-dry.

Unfortunately, I wouldn’t book this service again.
