To clarify: the extended insurance is provided by a third-party insurer, and their policy requires it to be added at the time of order — this is a fixed condition on their end, not something we're able to adjust afterwards, regardless of the circumstances of the call. It's worth noting this is standard practice across UK furniture retailers, not specific to us — insurers price and underwrite extended cover based on the item being new and unused, so it has to be added at checkout, before any potential fault could exist

That said, you're not left without cover: every recliner comes with a 12-month manufacturing warranty and a 5-year frame warranty as standard, included with your purchase, no extra step required. So the essentials — build quality and structural integrity — are already protected.
