Friendly,helpful service and very reasonable price.

Never claimed so couldn't give top rating as not experienced what claims would be like but overall happy with company.

Had a few issues to sort out and called Southdown, great service really easy to work with, can't recommend them more

When renewing my policy documents, the declaration was entered incorrectly for two of the Insured. If I hadn't have checked, our insurance would no doubt have been void if a claim had to be made.

I then had to pay two lots of renewal premium as the first renewal had to be cancelled. I am now awaiting a refund of the first premium paid.

Third time I’ve taken out their cover and luckily didn’t have to use it! They consistently come out near the top for value and cover. Great price for someone who has pre-existing medical conditions too. In future I think I’ll not bother to look around but just use them again.

While on holiday in Greece, I was admitted to the hospital with stomach pains, D&V.

My husband, who was fit and feeling very well, came with me.

While I was being hooked up to antibiotics and electrolytes, my husband collapsed.

The doctors battled for 40 minutes to save him. But he died. I was outside the room and I saw how hard they fought to save him.

It has been the worst, most traumatic experience of my life. My husband and I were together for 20 years. I loved every cell in his body, and I know he loved me.

My husband's insurance have been incredible. They have handled everything in an extremely complex situation. They are a company called AllClear.

Southdowns have been a nightmare. I am in a free, public hospital, but they are sending me tons of forms to open cases. The forms are in PDF and cannot be filled in on a phone. I cannot make changes to my flights or anything without this being done.

The language of the forms is incredibly unclear to the point that it is almost impossible to fill them in correctly. It is not at all obvious whether they are requesting information from my GP, or the hospital here in Greece. Many of the questions have vague wording. It is not at all clear what kind of consent I am giving.

Some of the people on their helplines are ridiculously verbose. There are several men who just go on and on and on and will NOT let you speak as a woman. They take about 3 minutes to say something that could be said in 20 seconds. And they do NOT listen or allow you to ask a question.

They have offered no support for me in terms of getting family out here or putting them up. I am relying on the kindness of my Airbnb landlord to host them - he is doing this for free. The Greeks are lovely people.

Quick and easy to fill in ..no pages and pages of legal jargon and very competitive

3rd policy purchased with this company..very straightforward transactions every time and super efficient staff.

Smooth and friendly reminder and renewal process - only reason I haven't given 5 stars is that I've never had to make a claim - which is the true test of how good a service they offer.

They wouldn’t pay out on my claim after my phone was stolen, even though I handed them a mountain full of evidence, because the phone wasn’t blacklisted in 24hours which u don’t understand how I could do that when I didn’t have a phone & I was in a foreign country.
