A great product and super friendly service. I have been running with my Athlete backpack for a couple of months and I can't fault it. It's comfortable, clearly made by runners for runners, and I think it looks more timeless/stylish than many other rolltops on the market. More suitable for office vs school kid vibes. I think the magnetic closure system is a really nice touch. Many thanks team for getting the product delivered so quickly, I'm loving it. I would 100% recommend.

Before having my stolt, run commuting felt like a hassle. My backpack carries everything I need, laptop, change of clothes and shoes. It feels light when running and still looks sharp when I walk into the office. Delivery took about 7 days and the company refunded the UK vat they charged, and I could use that to local import charges upon delivery.

My order has not arrived, two months after it was meant to have shipped, the company have stopped responding to emails querying the status of the order. Terrible customer experience

I LOVE MY ATHLETE BACKPACK! I always tell my friends that Stolt is a hidden gem. More people need to know about it, but I also love that, in the running community, it’s one of those “if you know, you know” products. I run commute daily with the Athlete and have also joined the Stolt Athlete platform, where I’ve had great running-related conversations with the Stolt team. Thanks, Keijo and team! :)

No delivery information provided. Followed up with Customer Service and was fobbed off. Very poor service. Will not be buying from here again.

This product is incredible and worth every penny. As a BigLaw attorney training for my first marathon, time is of the essence and I needed to capitalize on turning my commute into training. The Athlete Commuter set allowed that and then some - I look forward to my runs to work because of this product. It doesn't budge - even when I had 2 laptops, shoes, a pickleball racquet and the garment travel bag packed with clothes. The garment travel bag is perfect for prepping clothes the night before; pack it in; put it on; run it out! There's plenty of space within the bag itself; and the chest and waist straps keep it tight against your body for the entire run. Highly recommend!

I spent a very very long time trying to find a medium sized running bag that didn’t move whilst running and was big enough to accommodate clothes, a laptop, shoes and other bits and pieces. Finally, I found it and what a corker it is! I bought the athlete backpack and it is everything I wanted. Excellent quality, brilliantly made and comfortable. Completely recommended!

I have only had the Alpha commuter bag a short and its already the best commuter bag I have ever owned. Unlike other bags you can tell that it has been designed by someone who commutes. The design is so versatile, so far I've used it to run into work, to cycle into work and will shortly be taking it away with me. It easily fits in enough clothes for a week and the clothing container is perfect for preventing your shirts getting creased even after running 10k. The the waist strap is also amazing, both shoulder and waist straps are super comfortable even for someone short like me and they pack away so neatly really do get an amazing running/cycling bag as well as a smart sleek work bag. If the bag itself wasn't enough the team at Stolt are so helpful and really will go that extra mile. I cant recommend the team or this bag more highly. The price tag may appear quite hight but it is worth every penny. I wouldn't buy anything else.

Update -

After leaving my review the founder reached out to me and explained I had slipped through the cracks whilst they were dealing with an unexpected manufacturing issue, which had affected a number of customers.

I learned this is a small business with a great and very popular product & the manufacturing issue had caused a lot of difficulties, although it has since been resolved.

Keijo kindly sent me a replacement bag, arranged for the defective one ti be collected and partially compensated me for the issues - thanks again!

Great bag, very well made and would buy again.

I preordered my bag, waited months for it to arrive, and when it did there seemed to be a manufacturing issue which means the roll-top and clip don’t secure correctly.

I submit a request for support through the website and contacted the founder through email but I wasn’t responded to.

Months have gone by now and I’ve not been able to use the bag, I’ve been ignored through the support channels and I’m stuck with a brand new but defective bag. Avoid.

Fantastic multi purpose backpack, designed for the modern commuter. I run with it, I bike with it, I take it on the train. It can store my laptop, a change of clothes which do not become creased, a spare pair of shoes and my lunch easily - but the clever zips also allow it to compact down to be much smaller on the days when I carry less. And not to mention that it looks great too!

Customer service has also been awesome too. When I initially ordered the bag, the wait was going to be 2 months, such is the popularity of the bag (and I misread the website). When I got in touch with the team at Stolt they sent me a different, more expensive model for the same price so that I could start running earlier - and I love the one I received.

I Couldn’t recommend the bags more if your requirements fit anything in the above!

I've had my stolt backpack since the kickstarter and I use it every day. I do not run to work but I do bike to work so I get the benefit of a commuter backpack. but what I really love is the versatility and quality.
I travel a lot, on average every second week, so I get full use of the flexibility of adapting my backpack from just a laptop and charger for a normal day in the office - to bringing my work outfit when I bike ride - to a travel companion when I fly abroad. some days with only the backpack for short one night trips other times like today when I have to bring a full suit in my carry on I use the amazing suit box and folding guide to pack my suit in the carry on and I can have all my tech in the backpack.
Adding to the fact that the backpack feels still feels the same as when I got it the first day - (in 2018 I think?) so it truly stands the test of time!

I'm training for my first Ironman and need to incorporate running into my commutes. I bought the Alpha and after some quick Whatsapp consultation with Stolt team regarding the strap adjustments and advise on packing I'm absolutely loving it. It sits nicely and does not bounce while running.

I can pack my laptop, work clothes, shoes, swimming gear and lunch in the bag so thanks team Stolt and Keijo, running my commute to the office is so much better than taking the tube.

I bought the podium backpack earlier this summer. Unfortunately I had an issue as one of the buckles broke. I reached out to Stolt and after providing some photos of the issue, they sent me a new bag that I received 2 days later. Thanks Stolt and especially Harvey for your quick response! My new bag is everything I need for my commute.

My son is overjoyed with his Christmas present that I got from Stolt Running. An excellent backpack and the team went over and above to get it to me on time for Christmas (I was late ordering). Also, a local business to me so really would recommend to everyone.

A shame that this product is ruined by the non-existent customer service. Any problems or questions are ignored which is made all the more worse by fairly quick responses when trying to purchase. Three messages left, five emails and multiple attempted calls - nothing. I would avoid this firm at all costs unless they sort their servicing out. The product isn’t worth it.

Bag is good. Customer service is absolutely terrible.

I ordered a bag and decided I wanted a different bag. Ordered new bag and returned first bag under their “hassle free promise”.

Had to chase multiple times to get a return label. And now having to chase multiple times to get the refund processed.

Clearly a company that is not investing in its customer service. Beware.

Great backpack for running everyday! I bought the Athlete.bag, and even if I had to pay and extra VAT (since Stolt is UK based) it was worth it. And very kind and present customer support as well.

Alpha & Athlete Backpack

I bought the Alpha backpack years ago and it’s been with me ever since at work and travels. I have just received the new Athlete backpack and here’s a little comparison.

The Athlete backpack is also very high quality but a little smaller than the Alpha. I would 100% use it for run commuting and as a daypack but I will stick to the Alpha for air travel, purely because it’s slightly bigger.

Both the Alpha and the Athlete seem to have similar pocket for laptop which is great.

I can see that the waist strap is removable on the Athlete design. I guess this might be a good feature if you don’t like to wear a waist strap all the time but I like it so will keep it intact.

All in all, both bags are extremely well made with clever design features. 100% recommend!

Recently received my new backpack, loving running to work now! Very comfortable and compact.

Had emailed to check on my delivery, received a prompt response from Keijo with an update on the delivery.

Highly recommend to all the commuters out there!
