Great building control service from Stroma. From start to finish guided us through our project.

Alex was always punctual and thorough assisting us to meet all required regulations and when attending site for inspections. All the team at Stroma are always quick to reply to emails and phone calls.

The administrator tried to make out that I had entered into a contract after I had replied to an email quote, despite me clearly writing, "I hope to finalise the Building Control appointment over the weekend."  I immediately clarified that they were not appointed. Despite this they sent me an invoice the following Monday for the full amount - no appointment, no service provided - all in contravention of consumer protection legislation. I really don't know whether they provide a decent Building Control service but this aggressive and desperate attitude suggests otherwise. They need to be more consumer friendly and understand consumer legislation. Very disappointed as they came recommended by another service provider that has done well for me.

Would definitely recommend. Kate was very approachable, professional and knowledgeable to work with on our self build.

I had little to do with SBC as my builder did it for me but everything went through as smoothly as you would hope.

I received a first class service from Stroma Building Control. If I had any questions, I had no problem obtaining professional and courteous advice and information. The visits to our home were well co-ordinated and I was kept informed at each stage of the project. No complaints at all - thank you for enabling the smooth running of our loft conversaion Stroma!

I had instructed Stroma Building Control to do the inspections on my build that involved loft, rear extension, 1st floor rear & Annexe. I was so happy with the service provided by Harvir. He was there to advice and help throughout the project. He provided a professional service towards the works that needed to be carried out and was very clear to when he would like to visit again and gave detailed information in regards to the whole process of the visits. I would highly recommend him as a Building Control Inspector to family and friends aswell as use him again for any of my future projects.

Terrible service and zero communication, took nearly a year to sign off some patio doors!
By far the most time consuming and stressful part of the entire project was dealing with these useless cretins!

Poor service.
The inspector called Koray Ozer was not only negligent but also rude and unprofessional. he was even physically aggressive to client by pointing a finger into client’s face without anyone to provoke him. The only reason for his behavior is because the client was asking many questions and requesting instruction from him.
The other inspector was as equally negligent when he let the builder off the hook without obtaining any evidence (inspection or obtaining picture) just because he is a friend of the builder personally. Purely corrupted.
I was requested to delete my review by their line manager, but I think it is fair to give other client a warning.

Storma recently took over JHAI Building Control who I had used for many yeards, needed BC on a new project, make an enquiry of Storma website, never bothered to get back to me, not inpressed with how they operate considering I'd spent many thousends with the company they brought out, maybe a bad review may just prompt them to actually focus on potential customers

Do not be naive to take this company as building control inspector, They are very, very poor with the communication on the phone and emails, Their inspector in London are very inexperienced, They are not professional people! Honestly, do not waste your money!
