My boyfriend got me a tshirt from this…

My boyfriend got me a tshirt from this website; it came with a stain, like a paint stain, and it would not come off. We contacted the customer service and they told us 'to wash it' or to send it back, paying the return shipping fee. Even when it was obvious that it was a matter of poor quality control. As I said, the stain is paint like, so it did not come off in the washing. So I kept the tshirt, to not pay 20€ in shipping fees to China, where I would have had my refund if the shirt was deemed resellable. But how could it have been? If it's STAINED? I would NOT use this site again and, considering how poor the customer service is, I would advise everyone to beware

Dropshipping, KI und Betrügerisches Vorgehen

Die Qualität der Ware ist miserabel und offensichtlich KI-generiert. Die Motive wurden von anderen Künstlern übernommen. Als ich die Ware zurückschicken wollte, bot man mir zunächst einen Rabatt von 10 % oder eine Ersatzlieferung anderer T-Shirts an. Bei der Ersatzlieferung hätte ich jedoch die Versandkosten selbst tragen müssen.

Ein Rückversand zur Erstattung des Betrags wäre ebenfalls nur auf eigene Kosten möglich gewesen (26 €). Außerdem wurde darauf hingewiesen, dass keine Rückerstattung erfolgt, falls die T-Shirts nicht weiterverkauft werden können.

Daraufhin habe ich den Fall über Klarna gemeldet. Am nächsten Tag erhielt ich eine E-Mail von Tokyocanvas mit der Aufforderung, das Problem bei Klarna als gelöst zu markieren, da sie mir angeblich erst dann eine vollständige Rückerstattung gewähren könnten. Ihr Argument war, dass mein Klarna-Konto „eingefroren“ sei.

Nachdem ich dies getan hatte, bekam ich eine weitere E-Mail mit dem Hinweis, dass man mir lediglich 50 % des Betrags erstatten könne. Ich habe daraufhin erneut Kontakt mit Klarna aufgenommen und den Fall ein zweites Mal geöffnet, um die vollständige Rückerstattung zu erhalten. Am folgenden Tag wurde mir der volle Betrag zurückerstattet.

Kauft dort nichts. Es handelt sich um Dropshipping, die Qualität ist schlecht, und das gesamte Vorgehen ist schlichtweg betrügerisch.

TokyoCanvas looks great online, but beware — if anything goes wrong with your order, you’re on your own. I asked for a refund due to a quality issue, and they outright declined. It’s frustrating when a company doesn’t prioritize customer satisfaction. I do not recommend them.

Poor Quality & Scam-Like Refund Policy — Avoid Tokyo Canvas

I ordered 6 t-shirts from Tokyo Canvas, and the quality was absolutely terrible. The prints were pixelated, blurry, and already damaged on arrival. The shirts look nothing like the website photos, and the material is cheap and thin.

When I contacted them for a refund, they offered me only 20% back — unless I paid to return the items to China at my own cost. On top of that, they said I would only get a refund if their warehouse agreed the items were in “resellable condition,” and that they’re not responsible for customs delays or loss.

This return policy is unfair and exploitative — it’s designed to stop you from getting your money back. I believe this is a classic drop-shipping scam, and I’ve had to escalate the case through PayPal.

Avoid Tokyo Canvas. Don’t waste your money on poor-quality products and impossible refund terms.

DON’T BUY - it’s not worth it

I would give 0 stars. Ordered 3 t-shirts - all faulty. 1 with a stain and 2 with blurry images and illegible lettering. On requesting a refund I was refused the possibility of return on account of shipping costs and offered only a 10% refund and a comment to re-gift to family and friends. Delivery was also delayed by 1 week outside the normal delivery range quoted.
Avoid the hassle and don’t buy!

Where to start?

Where to start? I was initially happy with my purchase, but after three washes the prints have cracked and started to wash off. There are holes in the fabric, and it is clear that they have misrepresented the quality of the clothing.
Then I start reading reviews on trustpilot. All the positive reviews are clearly AI generated, running them thorough a detector shows this with absolute certainty, so I have flagged the reviews with trustpilot.

I have raised a dispute with Klarna, and TC are pleading with me to remove the dispute in order to refund me, which Klarna says to NOT do, thus more evidence that these people are duplicitous charlatains.

It is frustrating that I will have to wait the best part of a month for remuneration however thankfully Klarna has my back on this one.

Please, please, avoid this 'company'

Do not buy from this company!!! The products are cheaply and badly made and they will not refund you or allow you to return the items if you don’t want them. Appalling customer service. I’m also sure they are using artists’ work without permission. Complete scam and rip off. Lesson learned from buying something I’ve seen on Instagram!

Update January 2026: I have been contacted by the company, who are trying to bribe me into giving them a 3-star review by offering me a "refund" of $10, which is not even half what I originally paid. They have also blamed their employee for the issue instead of accepting responsibility. Avoid - this company is clearly very dodgy.

NB - someone else from the company did issue a full refund at the time of my original review, but only after I left multiple bad reviews and posts on social media and threatened going to Trading Standards.

I ordered a shirt from this website

I ordered a shirt from this website. After weeks had passed, I checked the tracking info for the package to see where it was. The tracking info said that a delivery was attempted, but was undeliverable because the seller had somehow combined by billing and shipping addresses (two addresses located in two different states).

When I emailed customer service explaining the problem, they asked me to pay an additional fee to have it sent again. I agreed, thinking it was an honest mistake, paid the shipping fee and provided them with the correct address.

More weeks went by, checked the tracking info, found they had sent it to the wrong address again. They said I'd either to need to pay for shipping a THIRD time, or else they could offer a 50% refund. I have gone back and forth with them through over a dozen emails trying to explain to them that it's their responsibility to send the shirt to the correct address or provide a full refund, but have gotten nowhere.

Edit: They have commented saying they will try to improve. I will update this review if they ever send the shirt or provide a refund.

Horrible quality tshirts and horrible customer service

Horrible quality tshirts- designs are stolen from other sources, then upscaled using a very bad ai algorithm to make a tshirt that is incredibly ugly and not even worth wearing ironically.

Took a lot of back and forth to negotiate a refund, their initial offer was a 5% refund, so if you're having the same experience keep pushing for a better refund. I eventually got a 50% one without having to send the shirt back, but now I'm stuck with figuring out how to get rid of a nasty tshirt in an environmentally friendly manner. Wish I'd have stuck with the 100% refund and lost the money posting back just so they got no money out of the transaction.

It's a shame Zero stars isn't an option…

It's a shame Zero stars isn't an option for Tokyo Canvas. The ordering process was smooth, my item was delivered to the wrong address which I get it, it happens. But from there it lead to the worst customer service experience I've had by far. After a week of trading emails that lead to no resolution and each of which did not seem in sync with the last. The emails telling me "be patient" are either written from AI or some rough English translator. They asked me to take pictures of my door even though they provided screenshots of the package that I did not receive at another address. They only respond from 2AM eastern to 7AM eastern. And a full week after my refund was finally handled which ended up being a 3 week process, they continued to email me to tell me cancel a dispute I cancelled 8 days prior. That was the point when I felt like I had to write this review and warn others. Hopefully your item gets delivered to the correct spot, but if it doesn't, I pray for you.

Awful quality, difficult to refund

I ordered a shirt for Father’s Day (more spaghetti less upsetti) and the quality of the cotton is terrible. Furthermore the print on the front is a plastic sticker that makes sounds when it moves, my husband won’t wear it and I don’t know how to get a refund (they keep asking for photos of the packaging which I obviously didn’t keep as I wrapped and gave the present). Waste of £20 - hugely disappointed. Buy elsewhere.

Late shipping, dodgy quality, review completely changed but used my picture

Edit again: avoid at all costs. I left a review on their site, just checked again and they used my picture, changed my rating, changed my name, and only kept the part that made them look good. I hope this company gets shut down.
Shipping said 7-10 days, ordered it two weeks before I needed it and it was still 3 days late. Shirt quality was underwhelming for being $30. Washing instruction tag was clearly cut off and the neck tag shown in product pictures wasn't there. It was just a Shein-esque tag with the size. Tried to leave a review on the website about a week ago that was 3 stars and had pictures of the issues and it's not there. I get the feeling they may delete or not post anything other than good reviews.
Edit: the business response is clearly automated and doesn't actually address the concerns I had. I don't believe this company is legitimate. While I did receive something, I still think looking elsewhere would be ideal.

Low quality shirts for the price and takes forever to arrive

Edit: I finally received the shirts, so at least they did not scam me completely. The quality is a little lower than expected, but they're still here. I would still advise to get shirts elsewhere due to the long shipping time and low quality for the price. The customer service isn't helpful via email either. I think some significant changes need to be made with how they run this business before I buy again.

Original: I ordered shirts more than 1 month ago (April 23rd, 2025) and was promised 7-10 business day shipping, and have received nothing as of today (June 9th, 2025). I contacted the company, and they said they would check the status of my package and reply to me soon, but that was a week ago and they have been radio silent. The tracking website they use is only in mandarin, and doesn't even tell you where exactly your package is after it "reaches the destination country". Supposedly my shirts have been on the port of LA for the last month.... right.....

No "Fast Delivery," No "Easy 30 Days Return," just lies

I paid for 7-10 day shipping and, according to their sketchy tracking number, my package is still on the opposite side of the country where it has been for the past 3 weeks. I ordered this a month ago, I've communicated with their support team multiple times trying to get a full refund and a return label so I can return their product, but they just answer back the same incomprehensible gibberish every time. The emails they send me asking me for patience are identical to ones they sent me 3 weeks ago. They say they will get back to me about the product and then give me no update for weeks. This company is flat out a scam, their reviews on Instagram state the quality of their products is awful, and I'm giving them one last day before I dispute the charge on my card. I've asked them 3 times already to begin the return process so I can get a full refund but they blatantly ignore each request.

Edit on 06/10/25 after they responded to my review: Please note, they only responded to this after my card company communicated to them that a dispute has been filed against them. They ignored all my previous requests for a refund and warning that I would have to dispute the charge and are not asking me to drop the dispute so they can refund me. It's been a month and a half and I still don't have the product despite them telling me a week ago that they "confirmed the package is in my city."
1. I don't live in a city.
2. The tracking order still shows my product is at LAX, where it has been for the past 30 days.
3. I live on the entirely opposite side of the US. If the package even arrived in my state, I would've received the package within a 48 hours.

Again, they told me the package was in my city over a week ago. They blatantly ignored all my requests asking me to "be patient" multiple times and offering a 5% refund (yikes). This company is either a blatant scam or is run by an incompetent 14 year old with no understanding of how shipping/transport works. If I cancel the dispute on the """"hope"""" that they would actually refund me in full, then they could just ignore me again and it would be harder for me to dispute the order again. Following the dispute is the only way I will receive my money back, DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY
