Easy to follow
Easy to follow, useful process tracking and verification with an optician. Arrived on time. More range and options for being able to view what they might look like on would be even better.

A very positive experience with tortoise and black.
Although I did not buy any sunglasses from tortoise and black in the end, I cannot fault my experience with them.
I had ordered the sun glasses online but they were not available so one of the team phoned me and emailed me about my options. She was genuinely pleasant and very helpful.
I will definitely buy my next pair of sunglasses from them.

No communication or refund
Delivery of glasses was fast.
I have since sent back the parcel using Royal Mail as the glasses didn’t suit me and have not had a refund or even communication to tell me that this is in process.

Dear Katie,
Thank you for taking the time to leave a review.
Looking at the records, I can see that a refund was issued on 8th September, which was the day your order came back to us. Obviously, that is 12 days before you left your review, so it certainly should have reached you by this point. I know that Maya has contacted you by telephone this morning, left a voicemail and followed up by email too. At this stage, we would ask that you double check your bank/card statement, and we will then take the matter further with Stripe (our payment provider) if required. .
In terms of communication, as a matter of course you should receive an automated email from us once a refund has been issued. We will definitely look to see if there has been a system, error here with the triggering of this message. Please accept our apologies if this has not been received.
We always strive to offer the best possible service, and rest assured, we will work with you to ensure the matter is resolved amicably.
Please do not hesitate to reach out to me directly if there is anything else I can do to help.
Best wishes

Resposta da TORTOISE+BLACK
Hi Tomisin,
Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. I’m sorry to hear that you are unhappy with your order.
I can see that your order was placed on Sunday 24th August and despatched on Friday 29th. I appreciate there was a 24hr delay with Royal Mail, and then there was no-one at home to accept the delivery on their first attempt. That being said, the glasses were still delivered within the 7-10 working day lead time we quote for all prescription orders.
Our customer service team are always here to help with any queries or concerns, and we would never wish for a customer to be left with something they are unsatisfied with. I would be happy to welcome a return and offer you a full refund. Please find a link below to our return’s labels:
https://www.tortoiseandblack.com/delivery/#Returns
I will contact you directly so we can discuss the matter further and address any remaining concerns, as we never want customers to leave with a sour taste. In the meantime, please do get in touch with me directly should you have any questions at all.
Best wishes,
Ellie
