My order was cancelled as the wrong delivery fee was quoted and the amount I got refunded was R400 less than what I paid and I didn’t even get anything

We have tried to arrange the product with other sellers but none of them was able to supply it so we were forced to cancel your order. We do not stock any products, hence, all the products are supplied to you on a back-to-back basis with the help of abroad sellers.
Also, If any extra amount is deducted from your account then please contact PayPal for the same as they might have deducted currency conversion charges because this was an international transaction and our base currency is USD.
We value our customers and take all the necessary actions for their satisfaction. Again, we are sorry for the inconvenience caused to you.

STEER CLEAR
They claimed they did not receive payment for my order and then cancelled without notice.
Luckily I paid via PayPal and low and behold I could very quickly be refunded the money they "did not receive" through Paypal's dispute channel. Cannot imagine the nightmare to get my money back if I paid via card.
Also the telephone agent's attitude - 0 stars. Condescending and rude!
Just stay away. Lots of other better companies out there. Don't risk your money.

My order was placed on the 29th of January 2023, and immediately I received communication from UBUY on the status of my order, and it was easy to track it on the site as well...I received my parcel
From the ordering process to the communication between UBUY and the Courier down to myself. Fluent, and effective. The ordering is such a breeze, and UBUY make it a bit easier for me in South Africa to get items we can only dream of seeing on our shelves...

So far I am very disappointed with regards to my package not being delivered on time…when I track my package, it was supposed to have arrived 2 days ago but it’s still stuck in “custom-delays”(it’s been stuck since 24 jan,imagine!!) whereas I’ve already paid for custom fees as well as shipping & handling fees on the day of purchase…I tried to communicate with the delivery company(DHL) and they told me the same(that it’s withheld by custom fees)…I’ve emailed the customer care service team of Ubuy several times and still haven’t gotten feedback regarding this matter!they’ve only told me that my concern is taken to the right department to deal with, this is not enough for me!…I really need my package delivered ASAP!Can I just get my package please Ubuy!…am very disappointed of the service…I really hope that they see this and get their jobs done!

Scam Promoters and defenders
Wow, what a terrible experience buying from them, and a costly one too. Lost almost R3000 and no assistance from them. Received a cracked cricket bat, and was not as thick as advertised. The whole product is a scam. There was a delay in shipping the product to me, and this led to me being not available to inspect the product immediately. Now after inspection of the bat, I contacted Ubuy for assistance, but was told they cannot assist...I must take it up with the supplier. I didn't buy it from them, I bought it from Ubuy so I expect assistance from Ubuy. You should be ashamed of your lack of respect and assistance to your customers. Had no help from you whatsoever. I have tried to post a product review on their website to warn other customers, but alas, they don't even have the honesty and decency to show my review

Exceeded expectations
I was really weary after reading the reviews here and on hellopeter. But I must say i was very pleasantly surprised.
My item arrived 2 days early, and I was communicated with at every turn.
They asked me to complete customs documents before the item reached our shores to speed up the clearance process, which it did.
I had a truly awesome experience with them and will 100% buy again in future.
