Unsold will provide a refund

I contacted my credit card company they in turn called Unsold and put them on the line with me. Unsold then was able to refund one of the charges to my credit card and the other two to Paypal. And if you dont have Paypal they will send you a secure e-mail to provide some additional information to be able to provide you with the refund. Sounds like Unsold is living up to its commitments

Unsold.com disappeared with my money

Looks like I'm out the C$298.00 I paid for three nights at a hotel in Vancouver, BC. I filled out the refund form currently posted on Unsold.com but received no confirmation that my request had been received. I think they are just stalling for time while they disappear down a rabbit hole. I contacted Visa to find out if they could do anything for me but they said their hands were bound because the charge went through over 120 days ago. In future I'll refrain from using online booking sites for services over 120 days ahead.

I want my money back! Paid for a hotel, Got cancelled!

After seeing several ads for unsold since January 2021, and checking all the business review web sites, I booked a 5 day plan for Okinawa. At first I planned to go with my family (2 adults, two children), but realized AFTER paying, one of my children would qualify as an adult. The hotels were not exactly what I wanted (no beachfront properties), but for the price, I decided to just bite the bullet, rent a car to get to the beaches and booked a Hilton next to a burned down castle in the middle of the city on unsold. At least it had a pool. Ended up leaving my husband at home because we couldn't have 3 "adults" in our room (hotel confirmed the rule). Bought airline tickets, requested time off from work. Mind you, I have worked a year and a half with no holidays since the pandemic started, (a daycare teacher here), and desperately needed a vacation inside the country, since Japan is still closed until further notice. Okinawa seemed the perfect place to unwind and with all the good hotel deals, the price was within reason as compared with other booking web sites. Plane tickets in hand (scammed again there with "go to gate" which suspiciously looks similar with a similar US address to Unsold). Thankfully I got my money back on the tickets and booked through an airline, and also got a rental car reserved with another reputable site. So excited to finally spend time with own kids for a change!!!. Well....guess what? Unsold.com cancelled my hotel 1 week before the trip. No refund. Just a notice saying that unsold is out of business. I called the hotel. Reservation was indeed cancelled. The hotel offered a discount but I said..."noooo, I want my money back first!! Like NOW!" the hotel staff felt very sorry for me, told me 3rd party sites are a problem for the hotel too and suggested I raise a dispute with my credit card. I called my credit card company. They said all they can do is demand a refund on my behalf. The unsold package was bought in April, it's now August. So, now what? I ended up booking an extremely cheap, dumpy apartment hotel in the middle of nowhere on the island on Hotels.com at nearly half the price I paid for the "Hilton" because it would have cost even more to cancel my plane tickets at that point. That saved our vacation because at least we could save money on food by cooking it in our room there and we only used the room to sleep. As for Unsold.com, I Requested refund. So far nothing. Thieves!!!! Somebody help please! Not only was I scammed, but perhaps thousands of customers, the hotels, the credit card companies, the advertising sites and sites like these where customers go to get trustworthy info. I also find it hard to trust a lot of travel websites anymore after this fiasco (both gotogate.com and unsold, which by the way, had good reviews up until now!)

Nous avons été victimes de cette…

Nous avons été victimes de cette escroquerie très bien organisée. Je ne crois pas du tout à la thèse du Covid.
Nous avons fait 1 voyage à Mykonos qui s’est bien passé.
Et nous avons acheté 4 autres voyages …..qui sont perdus.
Impossible de joindre qui que ce soit?
Une action groupée serait la meilleure solution.

They took Our Money

Wow! Like all other consumers I was taken. If its to good to be true then it is. I bought a trip to Dubai and Maldives. Went to go book and saw because of covid out of business. I fill out a refund form week ago , have not seen a refund 4 neither trip.

Unsold Ponzi Scheme

Well, I guess thats what happens when something is too good to be true. We booked two weeks in New York which we lost. Personally I don't buy the Covid-19 story. I think this was just a very clever Ponzi scheme. And we fell for it :(

Ripped off

This was my second purchase of Unsold accommodation vouchers. The first time went without a hitch. But this second occasion I paid for 4 nights, and only stayed at our accommodation for 2. I had understood that the remaining two nights could be used on a separate occasion. But no! When I enquired I was advised that I need to use all 4 nights in one 'expeeience'. No response to my emails. The on enquiring with the accommodation provider I found out that Unsold used a 3rd party, and my Motel had never even heard of Unsold. Mt final complaint is that NEVER are any of the best , advertised accommodation options available, but only the 3 star choices. I will not be using them again that's for sure.

Terrible! Cancel without notice

This is not even worth a one star review.
I purchased 2 tickets, one for a hotel in Santorini and the other one for Cancun. When I wanted to book the hotel in Santorini, I found out on the website that they are out of business. I called the hotel in Cancun, where I already made a reservation. The hotel told me that Unsold cancelled my booking. I was shocked! and I am very upset. They cancelled without notice. This is so unprofessional. I WANT MY MONEY BACK! And I will take further steps.

We are Canadian senior citizens that…

We are Canadian senior citizens that were looking for accommodation for a long awaited trip to go on when Covid subsides. We gave Unsold.com $2,000 of our hard earned money to get us reasonably priced hotel rooms. We are devastate to learn that we have now lost this money. We don’t know what to do to try to get them to reimburse us and we are very upset and unhappy. Any suggestions for anyone? We did fill in the form they offered for reimbursement but I don’t think we will see any of our hard earned money for this product we never received. Our credit card company nor private travel insurance will not help us as we made the reservations in a time when there was a travel advisory for non essential travel even though we weren’t going to use them in Covid times.
