I had a motorbike that needed a backdated VRT & was advised by customs to contact a Customs Clearance Agent. After doing an internet search I found Customs Declaration Ireland and via an email 'conversation' with Patrick, I was advised on the process and cost. I was also informed that if their services were not required (if I got my TOR clearance without having to present the bike to customs) I would get a refund. I found the service extremely helpful, informative and responsive and would definitely recommend them in the future as they reduced my stress levels with their advise!

Great service,estimates VRT cost for imported car.
There is a free of charge calculator on Revenue website as well,but not all models can be estimated there.
This site gives also independent calculation, an idea,which could be taken into account when VRTing the car.

I accidentally bought the same product information twice which was my fault, vrt refunded me immediately. The service was very fast and gave me a great idea of the overall cost of exporting a vehicle

Avoid at all Costs

The service provided by this Company is utterly useless. They can't even identify the vehicle correctly from the correct Reg No provided. The VRT projection is therefore completely wrong. That is why 83% of customers say they are completely useless.

Thieves. You have to pay to calculate your payments. Not even accurate. What on earth is going on.

The site claims to give you VAT and Customs estimates for UK imports, as well as the standard VRT.

They charge extra for VAT and Customs calculation - €15

I had a typo in the car reg in my original request, and rather than validate the reg is valid upfront, they charge you for a nothing report, and then ask you to pay again.

When they redirected me, the charge was only €5.00 which I assumed was a reduced fee or a resubmit as I had clicked on a link to correct the registration number on my original request. It turned out they had redirected me a different calculator that did not provide VAT or Customs calculations.

So the second report was useless.

On the third report, again at €15.00 it provided a VAT and Customs estimate but then reported that - 'If this is a Northern Ireland registered vehicle, then it may be exempt from customs and VAT.'

The vehicle is an NI vehicle - which is apparent from the reg number.

After a lot of googling elsewhere I found that the VAT and Customs calculation was not applicable at all in this case - unfortunately this website could not give this information.

So overall a very bad experience for €35.00

Can't give less than 1 star pity. Messed up paperwork and wouldn't resolve it gave wrong car details to me.
