i’ve been ordering from Montgomery Ward…

i’ve been ordering from Montgomery Ward for many years and i have never had a problem with them. i’ve ordered many things over the years and the merchandise all came fast. occasionally something was back ordered but it wasn’t a long wait. I lover their selections and the prices may be a little higher i. some things but they are worth it.

I don’t owe this company anything but yet they’re trying to charge me over $1000. What a rip off stay away from this company don’t even put your information in it goes then they’ll say you owe them something. Wow this company needs to be shut down.

I ordered a NEW product for a gift and…

I ordered a NEW product for a gift and was sent a USED bottle of cologne missing the cap, about 1/3 of cologne used and in a box labeled "TESTER NOT FOR SALE". I STILL HAD TO PAY $50 for a tester bottle of $20 cologne. Wards WILL NOT make this right and I paid for the crappy used product to keep my credit good. Shitty company stay away.

I placed an order for two tablets from montgomery wards scam buy now and pay later I got a. Email from them which I still have that said if I made a down payment they would ship my item i was thinking 50 maybe 100bbucks as soon as I gave them my card number they took the whole amount off 636 dollars and something I live on a fixed income I'm on disability and I have bills and a terrible habit called eating so I called them the lady on the other end told me that it was just a 50% chance I get my money back I've emailed them 5 times and my bills are due and no way to pay them you guys be careful would be careful about giving your card number online you may just find that they have taken most or all of your money

I accidentally payed them 542.00 which was my light bill money, I called them several times and was told they will refund my money back, I never received received my money and my light got cut off in 40 degree weather with my Daughter and grandkids
I will never order again with theses lying people.

First and foremost

First and foremost, the prices can be extremely high. I never had issues with customers service. Delivery charges are high as well. At times delivery can be an issue. The tend to take long to when shipping items. I stopped shopping from here. I went with Affirm, After Pay , and Klarna.

Shipping costs are excessive

Basic shipping was over 20 bucks for something that weighs 4 ounces and took 2 weeks to arrive. That is INSANE. Furthermore in the questions section 4 people asked if the item could be outside. 3 of the answers said yes and one of the answers said no.

Incompetence at its best

It would not allow me to give no stars, these people are the most incompetent I’ve ever worked with, they shipped two shipments to my old address even after I talked with them on the phone, also I put the correct address when I ordered, then had the nerves to send a letter saying I can pay up front full price, what a bunch of morons working for this company, stay away from these morons.

I bought a vaccum from Wards

I bought a vaccum from Wards. It stopped working a month later. I bought warranty in case something happened. It stopped working g. I called Wards they said I needed to call the warranty people I did. They said it fell under the 60 day rule and Wards should send me a new vaccum and return the one I have. I have called 3 other times. One lady was trying to resolve but never called back. I thought they had good customer service. They dont. Please do not buy from them I was ripped off. I am disabled right now I have no vaccum. No one will help.

They don't care about thier customers I order something from them and it wasn't long I forgot a payment and they reported it to the credit bureau when I called to see if they they could take the late payment off they refuse everyone makes a mistake I just told them I'll never order anything else from them they seem to not care I haven't since that been about 7 years ago so I just wish they close my account I'm in good standing any way all they good for is ruin your credit I have great credit now and don't need them

If I could give this company a billion…

If I could give this company a billion below 0 stars I would. I got approved for credit for an order. I place another order which required a $49.49 or $494.89 in additional items. It never shipped. This company is highly racist and highly evil and highly unprofessional. So I call about order and I get 3 different bogus excuses and told my daughter address is a fraud alert. Really. UPS , fed ex us postal service and everyone else delivers at here address. It’s a new address for her and I ask what fraud alert means . Representative said it means there were previous tenant order problems. Every company has order problems that doesn’t mean refuse to deliver. Discrimination! So I call back and human agent not the first 2 orders online that I never got, she te- process orders and sends them to my mother address which is a senior building with security guards and it’s a federal building. So this time second order doesn’t require a down payment. Yet I never get order. I call and told to call a few days to see the result of them looking into why I didn’t get order. I call back today multiple calls, music put in my ear, hang ups. More lying excuse. I’m told to use a 3rd address even. Ridiculous! I’m rarely home so I didn’t want my items stolen so I used relatives address that are home more. Re-order was placed today this time representative says put half of the money down for two items. Human racist evil interference. You get approved but the racist evil going to Hell devils that work their getting paid to disrespect people do their own spin of things. This is the worst catalog company. Order nothing from the devil company in Jesus name. It’s EVIL!

Poor service stay as far away as you can

Poor customer service either they are in the UK or Manila cause their customer service bites big time ! They overcharge for shipping and it takes 3 weeks to get your order.
I guess since they are an online company now they don’t follow the USA guidelines of refunds or customer satisfaction .

After extending me credit

After extending me credit, I used it and paid it back in full so I still had credit left. I tried to use it and Wards denied me saying my credit report only lasted a month. That's a bs business model. Don't buy from Wards, especially the military. I will never buy from Wards again.

Dear Montgomery Wards

Dear Montgomery Wards, your prices are outrageous. Unfortunately I made a purchase on my credit account I have with you and did not do any research before I made the purchase. Lesson learned, your prices are twice as much as other sites. Will not be using my credit account anymore. This isn't just on 1 or 2 items. Customers look elsewhere, you will find what you want for less then half of what you pay at Montgomery Wards.

MONTGOMERY WARDS MISHAP

I have decided to file both a Small Claims complaint and an FTC complaint because of the lousy and downright negligent business practices of this company. They received my past due payment of $49 less than 10 days ago; today I received a letter in the mail saying that I was, basically, a credit deadbeat who was 'not concerned with my reputation -- and that my reputation was in trouble." My theory is: if you can't get your facts straight in a matter, you have no right to accuse anyone! Obviously, this company is indifferent and insensitive to the needs of their customers (in my case, former customer!). Since they gave me 10 days to pay a bill I do not owe -- and, indeed, have verification of payment -- I told them that I will GIVE THEM 10 DAYS TO WRITE A LETTER OF APOLOGY TO ME -- or I will see you in Court! And I mean it!

This company has the poorest customer…

This company has the poorest customer service. The representatives are clueless about resolving issues. Fraudulent activity occurred on my account in May 2025. On their statement, instead of providing a number to make a payment, they provide a number for a different company who is fraudulently using your information to gain access for some credit monitoring at a cost of $97.37 which is then automatically taken from your account. When you call Ward, they take no responsibility for this company. After I said didn't want credit monitoring they were still requesting my personal information for ill gains. When I actually got someone at Ward = they were dismissive and told me I should not have provided my information. I explained that I thought I was dealing with them from the beginning and they were only verifying. I had to close my checking account and put an alert on my credit report. Ward took no responsibility for putting another company's number on their payment statement. Once I pay off my account I am closing it. I will NEVER order with them again. I don't owe them much so I am going to pay it off and close the account. HORRIBLE EXPERINCE buyer beware.
