Webuycyle has been formed by a small group of local cyclists and friends who love cycling. We have been riding bicycles for years and compete locally, nationally and even internationally at triathlon and time-trialling. We are a genuine company run by genuine people with actual city-centre premises. After some time of buying and building bikes, we realise that selling them on is not always straightforward and that not everybody enjoys the potential hassle associated with using auction sites. Very positive experience purchasing a bike
I had a really positive experience with Webuycycle. Website was good, so ordering was easy. Bike arrived quickly and was exactly what I was expecting. I couldn't fault them at all. Paul was a great help to me, he responded quickly to my emails and kindly supplied me with some extra paperwork I asked for, even though he didn't have to. I would definitely buy from them again.

Super responsive, no question to difficult to answer. Transaction seamless. Bike arrived as described and superbly well packaged. Wouldn't hesitate to deal with them again.

Great Service from WeBuyCycle
The seat stem was stuck in the frame of the new Raleigh Motus Grand Tour I bought from WebuyCycle when I unboxed it.
It's a very unusual issue on a new bicycle, and I am glad I took pictures of the bike while unboxing.
Unfortunately, neither I nor a local bike shop could free the seat stem from the frame. The bike shop's vigorous efforts annoyingly resulted in body paint damage.
Despite the paint damage, WeBuyCycle still offered to collect the bike and a full refund.
I was keen to keep the bike as long as it could be fixed and remain under warranty, so we then agreed that I would bring the bike to their workshop for them to fix it.
Sorting the problem involved disassembling the drivetrain to allow access to hammer the stuck stem out from the bottom - not a cheap job at a London bike shop.
I am now very happy because:
1) WeBuyCycle contributed to my train ticket to bring the bike to them (Instead of paying a courier to collect the bike)
2) They ferried me and the bike from the local train station to their workshop and back.
3) They managed to fix the bike while I waited so I could take it back to London on the same day.
4) The bike was repaired free of charge and with a warranty intact.
Life does not always go according to plan, but when things go wrong, it's great to deal with a customer-focused team like WeBuyCycle!

Many thanks for your positive review, Christian. We are keen to look for resolutions with buyers on the few occasions when things may not go as smoothly as we’d like. We were also very confident in the skills and knowledge of our mechanical team to be able to free up the seatpost (especially given that it was moving freely when we boxed the bike just days before). Glad to have been able to pop you back on the train with your bike and hope that it serves you well in the future.
Utterly dreadful
Rubbish. Went through the whole process on the website, got bike out, took pictures, found out all the specs and frame reference number only for them to come back and say they won’t make an offer as the bike isn’t electric. Absolutely ridiculous reason. If that’s all they accept just put that in the website and stop wasting people's time

I'm afraid that resale prices in the analogue MTB market have tumbled significantly in recent months due to the clamour for eMTBs.
There's little point in us buying stock that people are not looking to buy - we do not put this on the website because we do occasionally still buy some analogue stock - we just didn't fancy trying to resell your bike. We are not WebuyANYcycle and reserve the right to be selective.
The website process takes just 2 mins if photographs are at hand, so you didn't waste too much time in all fairness.
You've made 16 reviews on Trustpilot it seems and 9 of them are 1* - that probably says as much about you as the companies that you review.
Good luck in securing a private sale.
Yes - you did touch a nerve. Just because we were not willing to make an offer on your bike does not justify a 1* review from my perspective.
No 1 used cycle dealers
Can't praise these guys highly enough. Fantastic range of well loved quality second hand bikes. All fully serviced and clean. Just did a deal with two bikes that look like they've hardly been used and were as cheap as the beat up rubbish on certain auction sites.
Definitely worth the drive up there.

Excellent service from start to finish
Excellent service from start to finish, would highly recommend! The guys started by giving a fair quote, then the process was extremely smooth, with payment being received the same day that the bike arrived with them.

Pinarello purchase
Found a second hand Pinarello on this website that was just what I was looking for and decided to buy it. This was backed up quickly by confirmation of purchase, invoice etc and further communication of delivery. This made me feel very comfortable with a site I had never used before and the bike arrived as projected in the confirmation. The bike was boxed with every tube covered and protected that could not be in my view any better.
From my initial experience I would definitely use this company again. Great experience.

I purchased an Orbea Orca from webuycycles on 2nd August 2023. Dealing with the guys was a pleasure, honest open and trustworthy information throughout the process. I received the bike bang on time promised and the bike is exactly as described. I've done 3 rides, 190 miles total and the bike is brilliant. Buying a nearly new bike saved me 1000s compared to off the shelf new one. I would 100% recommend webuycycles if you're looking for a great deal on a bike.

Issues with delivery.
Battery literally stopped working, after 1 20mg ride.
Attitude of Paul ‘owner’, was completely customer blaming.
Wouldn’t show last battery data, simply stating we return it-easier said than done, when you are disabled (bike very heavy!).
No apology for huge inconvenience caused or loss of money, replacing pedals that didn’t fit, missed weekend away, as bike was broken.
Plus side….Jono was helpful and did actually apologise-id find a nicer company to work for-you’re wasted with an owner like that.

To be honest, it was a nightmare experience for us too. Tracking details provided on shipping & customer not there for delivery (it was then all our fault of course). Customer expectations re: delivery are unrealistic when using National couriers - no they will not deliver at a specified hour in your day! When bike was reportedly problematic, we immediately offered a full refund and were rightfully willing to pay for the return shipping - customer was then awkward & making excuses for not being able to return the bike! To be honest throughout the whole transaction, you gave the impression that you were looking to be offered refunds. Full refund paid on return of bike and glad to be able to move on from your ‘custom’!
Anyway all done now & I’m happy to walk away from your unreasonable demands and expectations of financial recompense.
You do seem to have a bit of a track record of blaming companies for delivery issues it seems, when in our case, you were the problem! You’ve left lots of 1* reviews, which probably says as much about you as the companies you are dissatisfied with.

Fantastic helpful and friendly team. Purchased my old bike from me and I upgraded from their own stock. The team went out of their way to find me something to fit my budget and even asked what spec I would like on parts that were being upgraded / replaced. Would happily recommend.

Definitely recommend and will use again when I inevitably see a new gadget
