Found this harder to use than the car satnav

Had to driver to Cheshire from Gloucestershire for Christmas to a place I have never been. The House was in a road with just House Names. I was sent the what3words address put it in my SatNav and I was taken right to entrance. Not bother no stress.

Hi to you all who have taken the time to read this review.
I need to explain about where I live. The different type of tracking apps that are used by courier services quite often take them to the wrong area which happens to be about half a mile away on the wrong side of a dual carriageway. It’s a five mile detour to get back to me!!
I am an elderly gentleman with a balance problem and had a bad fall that needed my daughter to call an ambulance. She was surprised that the ambulance service took my what3words as a matter of course and was with me very quickly, no mistakes !! Thankfully I am fully recovered.
I now tell all the people who come to visit me to download and use what3words if they don’t know how to find me.
Bravo.

I’ve been using W3W for several years now as a precise starting point for our weekly club mountain bike rides. It has proved to be the best way of making sure we all arrive at the correct location and it’s so easy to use and to share on WhatsApp. The only thing you do have to check carefully is the spelling of each word or you could end up somewhere on the other side of the world

I tried to setup and use this for the first time. Absolutely awful could not get my head around how to use it, no step by step instructions on how to set it up absolutely rubbish. Whoever designed this programme needs to go and write a set of step by step instruction. I won’t be trying to use this again

Just downloaded this app. Seems amazing and quite accurate. Love the idea and hope it is a worldwide success.

Generally very good at finding addresses that a sat nav cannot, especially in a rural area where I live & deliver to. However there are some places in remote areas that are unable to find using 3 words & have to revert to phoning.

I do wonder if the concept is robust enough. I know the fewer words, the easier it is to use but in an emergency situation certain words and plurals in particular may be misheard.
I hope that perhaps in the future the product may improve its weaknesses.
I have found it quite useful already for locating remote spots but am unlikely to use it for my own address but perhaps for meeting in open spaces.

It's perfect. I really don't understand why the random three words cause so much controversy.

It's a genius idea right? So far using W3W has been a foolproof way to fill the gaps left by traditional Sat Nav, both for work and personal use. Simple but brilliant solution, this is my favourite new App in years.

The map is poor quality, nothing like OS Maps, will use occasionally for fun, but OS maps is much better

Would be nice if W3E could be integrated with Iridium Emergency GPS locators.

Responded quickly understood my query- was unable to sort out but gave me the correct link to rectify my problem.

Found this app indispensable - absolutely brilliant. It got me to an interview on time where there were multiple businesses at the same address. The company were impressed I’d found them as they said not everyone managed to find them using traditional Sat nav methods.

The best. Very accurate and easy to use. Wonderful way to be accurate and find locations.

A unique and easy-to-use way to specify precise locations. Living in a rural area with house names rather than numbers, this has been a game-changer - no more endless phone calls explaining where we are, just a single short message!

I recently had an occasion to use 'what3words' for the first time. I had no idea how to use it and I only have a laptop (no fancy phone). In desperation I messaged w3w to explain my predicament and to ask their help.
I thought it was going to be really complicated and that I would have to download it. A very kind person responded straight away and helped me to do my search, which turned out to be easier than I thought. I am very grateful to w3w for their friendly help.

I contacted What3Words for help in understanding a particular issue. A very helpful person, Jana, explained how to overcome this issue. Great service

I had a wee issue with the app telling me I was 355 miles away from my actual location & got in touch with the support team by email after the Twitter team helped and directed me to them. I got a very quick response with detailed instructions on how to resolve the problem. All very easy but Jana was very helpful and I am reassured that if I need rescued, the emergency services will be able to find me!! 😁

asked some questions and they got answered quickly and efficiently
