3 years it took for this compensation claim to be settled. I was advised that my case was non fault and would be successful if went ahead. The third party had already admitted liability and I had received my pay out for the car. I was passed onto the litigation team and advised to go to court 3 time but then my claim would get forgotten about for a while. On the final time they advised litigation again but then said that they didn’t want to take it further due to lack of evidence. Absolutely mind blowing as I had everything but a dash cam. I genuinely think they just wanted the case closed and didn’t want to proceed to court with such a low figure. At the beginning I was advised I could include additional courtesy car costs that I took out privately as apparently they seem 2 weeks as long enough to find a car. Keep this in mind if you are trying to claim for a courtesy car over this period as at the end these were removed and I would have thought twice about getting this. The last lady on the case was helpful and quick but again I think they just wanted it closed as it had been painstakingly long the whole time up until then.
