I’m extremely disappointed with the way our warranty claim has been handled.

We purchased a recliner chair for my disabled husband at a cost of nearly £4,000, and it hasn’t even lasted two years. When we reported a fault, a technician was sent out to inspect it. From the moment he arrived, his attitude was unprofessional — he was clearly annoyed because I kept him waiting outside for a few minutes while I safely put our dog away.

Following his visit, he submitted a report claiming that we had caused the damage ourselves, suggesting the chair had cracked due to creams or oils from hands. This is simply not true. My husband does not use hand creams, and it’s hard to understand how such a conclusion could be reached without any real evidence.

Based on this questionable report, the company has refused to carry out any repairs under warranty. To make matters worse, they appear unwilling to properly investigate or even accept a complaint, hiding behind the claim that their technicians are always correct.

We feel completely let down. For a product at this price point, you expect both quality and fair customer service — we’ve received neither. I would strongly advise others to think carefully before purchasing, especially if you are relying on their warranty support.

The upholstery was repaired and the upholsterer was prompt efficient and friendly

Legswere falling off sofa so i filled the online claim form got a choice of days for repair and hot a text day before with a 3hour time slot .. turned up on time and repair now done .. cant fault them

Arrived bang on time. Slight mark still visible but I expected that as the sofa is cream!

Their upholsterer was very efficient and replaced part very quickly along with being neat and tidy.
Only issue was not Castelan's issue which was the 16 week wait time for the part to arrive from the supplier this for something that will be on a shelf in storage somewhere???
Would recommend Castelan for any furniture issues in the future.

I was impressed with how quickly Castelan got in touch with us and sorted the problem out! Carl who did our repair and restored our sofa back to it’s original condition was very efficient…so great job all round!
