Ho acquistato 650 Titanium su Ford con cambio automatico immatricolato 29 Gennaio 2025. Difetti: predisposizione TV corrispondeva aum mozzicone di cavo per antenna di 10 cm che attraversava il pensile sopra il frigo e il possibile alloggiamento della TV; il telo del tendalino compreso nel kit di accessori quando si riavvolge fa delle pieghe morte; il letto supplementare quando si mette i cuscini, questi non rimangono posizionati e dovendolo usare sono caduto per fortuna l' altezza dal piano di calpestio non era eccessiva. Questo difetti sono stati segnalati alla concessionaria Fly Camper di Figline Val D'Arno all' inizio dell' estate ma ancora non risolti. Per un mezzo pagato 72mila euro dichiaro la mia completa insoddisfazione dell' acquisto fatto.

Hi,
I bought a Welcome Premium 768 in November 2020.
Very very poor build quality.
Water ingress after just a few weeks.
Plastic exterior trip cracked.
All the windows had to be taken out and resealed and finally the cupboard door handles just fall off .
No help from Chausson everything to be paid by me.
I really regret it and wish I could sell it even at a huge loss.
It feels like they are made with absolutely no prose or quality control!

ik heb een trekhaak laten plaatsen bij een erkende garage maar Chausson wil geen CE formulier geven omdat het niet door hen is uitgevoerd voor mij is dit een monopoly. ze willen er dus zelf geld uit kloppen. het is dan nog niet de bedoeling om iets te trekken enkel mijn fietsen dus op het CE formulier moet de 0 kg aangepast worden naar 100kg en trek masse mag zelfs op 0kg blijven staan.
Nooit geen Chausson meer!!!!!!! brol firma.

We hebben vorig jaar in April de nieuwe chausson X650 gekocht, later opgemerkt dat er toch geen fietsen konden in de garage, dus hebben in onze garage een trekhaak laten installeren voor een fietsendrager. Nu blijkt dat deze niet reglementair is omdat Chausson het conformiteitsattest niet wil afleveren omdat zij de trekhaak niet hebben geïnstalleerd. Schandalig gewoon, ze nemen hun monopolie voor het installeren van trekhaken en weliswaar tegen een surieus prijskaartje, bijna het dubbele wat je bij een gewone garage of specialist trekhaak plaatser zou betalen. Jammer dat we deze hebben aangekocht, ik koop nooit meer een Chausson.

Il mezzo è spazioso ed è da lusso per due persone. Unica pecca anche se trascurabile, in marcia si sente qualche vibrazione di plastiche e dopo qualche uso del tavolo elettrico si è bruciato un fusibile probabilmente per sovraccarico (cioè per averlo fatto sforzare in discesa non accorgendomi di averlo abbassato sulla dinette) Sostituito immediatamente il fusibile non ho avuto alcun problema. Ad oggi lo consiglio, vedremo in futuro.

Cheap poorly made, with an atrocious performance for sorting out warranty issues, I purchased a sport line S697 in September, it’s now November and I’ve heard nothing about a fault from when I collected it, and the dealer Simpsons are passing all onto chausson, a poor show after I’ve spent £650000
Deluso della qualità di Chausson Camper
Ho acquistato di recente un camper nuovo, un furgonato del valore di circa 70 mila euro e mentre faccio le prime vacanze mi trovo senza il tavolo, perché si è smontato in viaggio... solo la prontezza di accorgersene in tempo al ultima vitina di tre, ha fatto in modo che non ci fossero danni a cose e persone. E tanti altri problemi...

Il mio camper chausson the best 3 con 45000 km ed un utilizzo normale ha tutta la tappezzeria in similpelle ridotta a brandelli.. dalla sede mi hanno risposto che dopo dieci anni è normale..io penso invece che utilizzano materiale di scarsissima qualità, al contrario dei soldi che ho dovuto sborsare che erano di ottima qualità.

7 year warranty is a total lie
Did they 'ask' their dealers to 'forget'.... to remind their customers about the habitation check?
Bought a new 520 Premium from Elite Motorhomes in 2020, in 2021 they emailed me stating 'habitation check due' so booked it & £300 job done, I thought it was weird as I've had boats before and they only needed checking every 4 years. Then in 2023 emailed me stating 'habitation chack due' so booked it and then they said 'we've detected damp in 3 areas and because you missed last years check, it's going to cost you £3,800 to fix it.
It's done 5,900 miles since new, they made no contact with me in 2022 and the van hardly moved from storage. Out of sight, out of mind - but all my car/van/truck dealers email me whenever anything is due - or entice me to buy a new one.
Strange that a dealer who makes a living from milking existing customers, 'forgot' to contact for 12 months to VOID the warranty.
I suggest a class action maybe the way forwards - even my plumber emails me about servicing a £2k combi boiler every year, let alone a £60K+ motor home - have you ever bought a new car or decent used car and the dealer doesn't remind you of the service or MOT due date just to keep in touch?
The most valuable customer you have is your existing one, why fail to contact them for exactly 12 months.
Elite Motorhomes admitted they made no effort to remind me it needed it's £300 habitation check last year - I wonder if that 'instruction' came from Chausson, as they know they are pumping out a load of crap and want to pass the blame onto their end users.
The 'Chausson approved repair centre' told me today...'I know it might sound weird to you, but they are just wooden boxes covered in GRP, we have 3 in our workshop right now that are less than 3 months old with damp issues' It just sums up the daily reality compared to the fiction that Chausson portray - let's be honest, in motoring manufacture, the French have been in last place since the wheel was invented. France is a great country to motorhome, crap place to make anything that lasts more than a day. (therefore excluding bread - as I agree with the no preservatives in bread to support local artisans/communities - they do make better bread, but you can't drive a baguette)
Garantie tot de deur!
Bij Chausson hebben ze nog nooit van garantie gehoord. Bij ieder mankement geven ze aan dat het door verkeerd gebruik is ontstaan en dus niet onder de garantie valt, zelfs iets wat al bij aflevering geconstateerd was.
En het duurt ook nog eens eindeloos voordat er überhaupt gereageerd wordt.
Chausson S514 First Line…
Bought a new Chausson S514 First Line in March 2022. Front panel seal has failed. Catastrophic battery drain on Ford chassis has taken 8 months to fix. Now the control panel is not working meaning there is no 12v function despite new leisure battery. We bought a new van for trouble free motorhoming. I have had 4 vans since 2007 this one has definitely caused the greatest issues.
Chausson 728 EB - very poor quality.
I recently owned a Chausson 728 EB. 2017 plate. I owned the vehicle for 4.5 years. The base vehicle ( Fiat Ducato) was brilliant. The Chausson habitation party of the vehicle however was very poor quality. To maintain the 7 year water ingress warranty, I had a habitation service done every year which cost just shy of £300 a time. Virtually every year it failed on water ingress (dampness) and was repaired numerous times under warranty (garage doors, gas door, rear garage floor etc etc). The fridge broke down twice, I had electrical issues, the rear camera filled with water and I waited months for a replacement ( despite Chausson still churning out new vehicle's fitted with cameras), the cupboard handles broke, the garage door handles broke, the sink cracked to highlight some of the issues I had in the short time I owned it. I have now sold it and gone back to a caravan. Considering the vehicle was valued around 50k, it was very shabby quality. I emailed Chausson to obtain a new sink ( which I would have paid for) and didn't even receive a response. I won't miss it.
Unpleasant Customer Services
Great design, OK build quality. Absolutely shocking customer service. Phone lines only open minimal hours on three days a week. Tried for 3 months to call them with no response. Filled in the online contact details three times and sent numerous emails before I got a reply. Then took weeks of emails just to get registered as new owner. Really unpleasant attitude from customer service staff obviously hardened to dealing with frustrated customers trying to work through their bizarre contact system.
Owner’s groups are full of negative experiences.
I cannot comment on the newer models
I cannot comment on the newer models. We have a Chausson Welcome 17 on a 2007 plate. This vehicle is on a Fiat 2.3 chassis and has done 40000 miles around the EU since 2009,many of these trips were extended trips up to 12 weeks at a time. We have never had any problems with it on any trip. We are now getting ready for another 6 week trip.
Chausson review
Very surprising to read all the negative reviews re Chausson Motorhomes. We purchased our MH from Premier MH in Chichester in 2022 and took it on a 4 month roadie throughout the UK and Ireland. We were very impressed with the handling the features and the reliability. Our van never missed a beat. The thing people need to realise with Motorhomes is that there are a multitude of parts and bits. If you are on the road like we were for 4 months there is always going to be a hose which comes disconnected or a catch that needs replacing. Small issues are always going to happen.
Overall the Chausson range built on the ultra reliable Ford Transit base is the best value MH money can buy. It goes without saying we cannot recommend Chausson Motorhomes enough and we are coming back to the UK again this year to buy another one.
Will never buy Chausson Again
Bought our new Motorhome, Chausson 630 Premium in Nov 2020. Absolutely loved it but less than 2000 miles done and we had the Ford related engine failure and serious damp issues. Passenger side dinette and kitchen windows completely unsealed,meaning left side of the van had to be virtually re- built as walls so damp. The first 'approved' service location made such a hash of it, actually causing serious further damage, we had to beg Highbridge in Somerset (from where we bought it) to help us out, which they did admirably. 1 year later it is going back to Highbridge for its habitation check as we don't trust anyone else, but on preparing it to go, we found that the drivers side window is leaking , damaging upholstery and furniture. I feel like crying when I think of the money we spent and the troubles we have had on this and have definitely lost all faith in Trigano ass they do ignore all communication and the build quality is shockingly bad.
Chausson Motorhome value for money
I just want to share my experience with a Chausson Motorhome. We ordered our Chausson Premium 640 on a Fiat 140bhp for delivery in March 2020. Then Covid delayed our delivery. The dealer Elite Motorhomes kept us informed of any forecast delivery date as best they could. We finally collected the Motorhome in July 2020 and was on the Eurotunnel in the second week of August.
This is our fifth new motorhome, we have owned three Hymers, Burstner and a Frankia.
This is our first Chausson and we are very impressed.
So let me deal with some of the complaints I have read. Vehicle faults .. I tend to info the dealer but speak direct to my local Fiat Agent ... note check out they have the space to lift the Motorhome first.
Trump boiler leaked .. yep this happened to us. This is just a build defect .. plastic pipes on a plastic fitting .. it let go and emptied 11 Litres of hot water on the floor. A little alarming when we were sat outside and saw water leaking underneath. However we happened to have a jubilee clip with us and fixed it within the hour. Emailed dealer (Elite) and informed them. Carpet was a bit out of shape .. they replaced it .. and we asked if they could check the woodwork for water absorption... dealer checked no problem.
Diesel Heating .. this is one of the main reason we bought a Chausson as diesel heating is standard. We go skiing in the winter .. and even our super insulated Frankia still burnt 2 full gas bottles every 2-days .. which means packing up and driving off to replenish.. although some skiing sites deliver gas daily. Still I find diesel quick to heat the can and certainly not noisy or smelly. My final advice ... if you want to Caravan or Motorhome then you need to carry a small tool kit and check out anything and everything on You Tube.
