This is the worst bank in UAE, sadly to say this is international recognize bank in the world but, customer service is very bad, relationship manager is very rude, every one is RUDE. they are not cooperative to resolve the matter and given a lot of excuses. then documents requested is extreme requirement. don't open an account with this bank either personal and especially company bank!
Terrible
Terrible, terrible experience with this bank. A high value fraudulent transaction has appeared on my credit card but they refuse to reverse it because it is "still under investigation". In the meantime, their collections team keep hogging me everyday to make the payment which I refuse to do because it is A FRAUD.
Customer service say they will call me back about it but they never do. It's been 9 weeks already.

The worst bank with most unprofessional staff including customer care. I was having a problem transferring money to India. Followed up for 2 months through emails, phones and online banks but never got any solution. Now I got a debit card that doesn't work and I am going through the same nightmare. The call centres is services are very worse, I called bank to enquire about my credit card and it took 15 mins on hold listening their promos etc , but I couldn't talk to any representative and solve my issue.
What a terrible experience!
I was promised a joining bonus by the agent who signed me up for a credit card. Upon signing up, the bank told me I was not eligible for this bonus as it's only available to online customers and not those who sign up with an agent.
In order to "investigate" the issue, the bank has put my card on a block for close to four weeks now. And no one is bothered to resolve the issue.

This is the worst bank I have ever dealt with. I applied for a credit card from their sale team and his bame is Senthil. He has poor communication skills, doesn't give feedback and not update you on the status of the card if approved or not! And when you call the bank, they live in lala land
Fraud banking
I had taken a card a few years back from Citi bank UAE. They have a strategy to give initial reward cash to give the credit card. Afterward, they started to penalize for no reason and make money.
I closed my card a long time back after clearing the outstanding. I spoke to many agents during the car closing process and finally, they closed my card. I received many calls later that you have outstanding for annual fees etc. I explained that the card had been closed.
The agent multiple times that sorry we called you by mistake.
They are standing in the malls and offering the product. Please don't get fooled by them and don't take a credit card.

Stay away from that bank on retail level and corporate level
I experienced Citibank Dubai as a retail customer and it was a total disaster. Hiding fees, zero customer service, I had to threaten them to go to court for them to act. Then I experience them on a corporate level same outcome ( actually even worse) they blocked some incoming funds without any legal justifications, little to none customer service. And during all those years I experience as well being a service provider of Citibank Dubai and guess what... Citi NY Citi Ldn are real banks with real customer services and made of professionals. Dubai I really don't understand until know how they run that branch. A disgrace
citibank Management made me to think about committing suicide
to provide a clearance letter they took around 40 days, it's still under process; because of this clearance letter, my complete loan money is blocked in FAB, even my credit card is closed the FAB is not ok release my loan amount which is pending from 30days on wards in the blocked amount; I can cancel the loan and I can able to apply the loan in any other bank; I am completely stuck because of this clearance letter; citibank people are keep pending this letter because excess amount paid to close the card; i have paid excess only because Abu Dhabi branch citibank manager pushed me to pay otherwise they will not allow me to close the card. all these things are leaded me to think about suicide because of this mental torchers; So if any one want to live a peaceful live don't take any products of citibank; not even in the end of the world or universe.
Extremely Poor Banking Service
I was not receiving sms for statements and annual card fee was waived off but it’s related charges were not cleared due to system errors. My Score was also effected due to this poor service.

It is unbelievable how this queue with dozens of guys and no priority given to ladies or families with babies.. it is 21:47 evening on january 3 of 2022 and even the security is forcing the ladies to stand squeezed between man.. I asked him how come and he said no instructions!!! Since when this happens in uae? SHAME ! I've never ever seen this in uae this is very very humiliating 🙄 everyone knows in UAE THE LADIES ARE TREATED WITH RESPECT AND GIVEN PRIORITIES EVERYWHERE!!! #citibank teach your staff some respect and some manners

Attn Please!!! It is a humble request that do not put yourself into trouble by taking loan or credit card from Citibank. There are a lot of hidden charges which are never mentioned by any of their representative. This is one of the worst bank in UAE which gives loan or credit card so easily and when someone want to cancel the credit card then they put a lot of hidden financial charges on the customer without any proper reason. When it is requested to them for clarification then it takes 3 to 4 days which is another lengthy process which does not properly clarify the hidden charges. Please do not put yourself in their trap and try your best to get rid of them. When a customer want to cancel the credit card then they say that it will be closed on the date of statement and they cannot close it in the middle even if the customer has paid full payment and cleared all the dues. It is always wonderful to work with local banks rather than then the worst banks like Citi bank UAE!!!!!.

Worst experience and worst customer service. Credit limit is given by citi bank and when i used the limit they blocked my card without my intimation even though i made the full payment. It’s absurd the explanation they r giving me that the credit limit doesn’t match my profile it’s a joke they r the one to give me credit limit and now they r making such absurd excuse for blocking my card. i keep mailing them and calling them but i get same answer it’s in progress for more than 3 months now. no action from their side i m tired now.

I tried to use their Jersey Citigold Private service - honestly the worst experience ever. Bad service, high costs, limited choice, and the personal advisors are genuinely terrible. Avoid this bank like the plague!
Extremely inefficient and slow
1)my rm registered the wrong phone number, so the account approval took 4 days longer to be enacted
2)the Emirates skywards number on my card was printed wrongly, so I will have to deactivate my card and wait for a replacement within 3-4 working days. I’ll stay without credit card in the meantime
3) after activating your credit card online, expect another 3-4 days for the card to work because the bank needs to unblock it. Why the hell, after unlocking the card myself, should I wait almost one week (beware of weekends) to use it?
4)a bank transfer from UAE to another UAE account was blocked by the bank and takes at least 3 working days to be approved by the bank. Where else in the world a bank takes so long to clear a bank transfer???
If you want to deal with a bank which is specialized in making everything so complicated and slow, well, choose Citi.
If once a credit card is issued from this bank, you are hopeless for cancelation
I had requested for my credit card cancellation and they wont allow you to clear it even though you had made all the due payments.
The customer care agents will simply disconnect your calls and make you mad, without answering on the above matter.
you will die running behind them.. that's the real truth.
