Who in their right mind would put a small sticker on a button battery that makes it completely useless and not put a "remove before using" label on it, this very nearly cost me hundreds of pounds when I tried to replace my car remote fob

Duracell alkaline AAA battery exploded in my Sony TV remote control last night after only being in the remote 3 weeks. The batteries have a MAR 2030 expiration date on them. This isn’t the first time I’ve had Duracell batteries malfunction e.g., corrode after less than a month inside either a TV remote or ceiling fan remote. These remotes are inside my home HVAC controlled environments between 68 - 78 degrees F. I’ve contacted Duracell before concerning these faulty and now dangerous batteries, without a response. I’m going to remove all these from my home and not purchase them anymore. They are now exploding. I submitted a complaint to Duracell with pictures of the exploded battery I hurriedly removed from my Sony TV remote (TV is less than a year old) as soon as I heard the explosion.

Changed end November and have already run out - appalling at the high price and over promising advertising
Will switch to rechargeable from now on

1. Individua i dispositivi presenti in casa alimentati da batterie a moneta al litio (Airtags, telecomandi, luci led, giocattoli, chiavi auto…)
2. Accertati che questi dispositivi siano tenuti in sicurezza e che abbiano vani batterie ben sigillati con le viti; altrimenti mettili subito in sicurezza chiudendoli bene con del nastro adesivo.
3. Conserva le batterie a moneta al litio, sia scariche che cariche, sempre in posti non accessibili dai più piccoli e LONTANO DALLA LORO PORTATA!
4. Scegli sempre prodotti sicuri, con extra funzionalità di sicurezza, come quelli Duracell con la Tecnologia baby secure

Seguendo questi passi e usando le Duracell Baby Safe ho messo in sicurezza tutta la casa.

Purchased a number of Duracell AA PLUS 200 this year for xmas light products and have noticed that these are not performing as well previous years . Across all items with timers like rice lights, candles and ornaments there has been significant loss of light after just one week , last year they would last a good 2 plus weeks.... anyone else noticed the same ??

Duracell RE-CHARGEABLE AA Batteries - STUPID Packaging - looking nearly exactly the same as Alkaline AA Batteries is a stupid trick to have people mistakenly discard these expensive batteries - OR - place Alkaline Batteries into the Charger and cause EXPLOSIONS.

One would think Duracell would want to make these SIGNIFICANTLY DIFFERENT LOOKING - but no - they look nearly the same - DAH ???

LA PREVENZIONE per evitare le ingestioni accidentali è importantissima.
Ecco i 4 punti da seguire per una corretta prevenzione:

Ho acquistato 2conf.di stilo presso un condad,1era ok,altra conf erano tutte completamente scariche..Nessun rimborso, si sono rifiutati, nonostante avessi ancora la ricevuta..

I recently changed all of our Christmas decoration batteries. I know they should not have been left in from last Christmas, but they had been and most but not all had leaked and corroded the terminals. I quickly noticed that the Duracell batteries had all leaked whereas other brands, Varta and Amazon although exhausted had not leaked at all.
I used to regard Duracell as a top brand, but not any more. Our torch batteries and consequently the torch bodies have all suffered a similar fate. Again Duracell batteries (D Cell) had leaked badly.

Grazie Duracell per aver pensato proprio a tutto! Il brand è già noto per l'alta qualità e durata delle pile che produce e l'aggiunta della tecnologia baby secure è davvero la ciliegina sulla torta. Le pile sono rivestite di bitrex sostanza amarissima (posso testimoniare) e le confezioni sono impossibili da aprire a mani nude. ho avuto l'onore di poter provare le pile con tecnologia baby secure, e devo dire che mi sento più sicura a lasciare i miei figli liberi perchè so che non riescono ad utilizzare questi prodotti. perche queste batterie è applicato uno strato di Bitrex®, una sostanza non tossica ma dal sapore disgustoso.
e sono sicura che almeno non possano ingerirle

How about promoting your rechargeable batteries at Christmas time !!!! Might be the greener and more responsible way to go!!!!!! And perhaps , letting the public know where they can recycle their used batteries!

Bought a Costco 40 pack of Duracell AAs last Christmas using two in my TV remote. Last week the remote failed and I found both batteries had leaked at the bottom. When I attempted to replace them, I discovered 13 of the remaining 38 unused batteries were also leakers. The warranty date is Mar 2034 and Duracell has promised to mail me coupons to replace all forty batteries at any retailer but Costco. Duracell
Support gal was polite and efficient.

UPDATE 11//14/2023
Received two $20 coupons but those coupons were not redeemable at Walmart, Costco or Target. Called again to Duracell support and told to request a refund check in writing. Did that; still waiting…..

This is exactly the example when the advert is way more advanced than the product.
I bought Duracell batteries countless times and everytime the performance leaves much to be desired.
Sometimes the cheapest batteries that you can buy on the cashier desk are better than this famous duracell.
But everybody knows the Duracell rabbit though.

Latest commercial is the whole reason America is raising a bunch of brats and you glorified it. Showing that giving a kid what it wants if it throws a fit is irresponsible and lost my business of over 40 years. I'll never buy your batteries again!

for the second time in six months i bought duracell AA batteries and again no power in them what a con the advert on tv saying duracell outlast other batteries i dont think so

Comprate oggi in negozio, come da fattura, sei CR1220 (scadenze lontane) e questo è stato il risultato:
2 a +/- 2,90 volt (cestinate)
2 a 3,11 volt
2 a +/- 3,05 volt circa
Visto il costo (pure scontato) di 2.50 euro ciascuna direi che non valgono il loro prezzo.
Comunque non è la prima volta che con questa marca mi sono ritrovato con pile al limite della carica o sotto carica nonostante fossero tranquillamente nei termini di scadenza.

Duracell used to be the "battery garunteed not to leak". I have had to discard probably half from a package of 48 with a shelf life of Mar. 2028 because they have leaked INSIDE my plastic battery container in my cool closet. Several have leaked inside tools and toys. Don't buy them unless you want your item destroyed. I won't buy another Duracell battery. If I could give them a lower rating, I would.

I can remember when Duracell batteries were the best you could get. Now they are absolute rubbish. I bought these batteries about 4 years ago and they are supposed to last up to 10 years. Out of three packets of 8 batteries I managed to find 7 which hadn't leaked! I ended up dumping them all as I don't trust them and don't want my equipment getting ruined! Will never buy Duracell again!

I bought a pack of 48 AA batteries before COVID... maybe 5 years ago. When I saw 10 years lifespan I took the biggest package I could as I always need AAs.

I have 14 batteries remaining in the package. Almost all of them didn't survive the time. They are flat and some material is getting out. They were well preserved in a shoebox in the living room. No high temp, no high humidity, no light.

When I contacted Duracell, they mailed me an unusable coupon of 28$ on paper to use in any store.

Now I start to understand this brand is mainly a marketing psyop and they make it so hard to get refunded they know everybody will give up.

This is the last time for me with Duracell. I'll go for cheaper honest brands.
