I bought a pack of 12AA +100% EXTRA LIFE batteries,only managed to use 3 of them and the other 9 are all flat!!!! The best before date is 03/2031... So why are my batteries flat?

My Duracell AAA battery leaked inside a Remote Control device disabling its electronic circuit resulting in non-functional system functions without remote control. Duracell customer care service, when contacted, was pathetic and demanded the entire system shipped to them for diagnosis. What a waste of time! Go for other battery options which are equally good or even better with lesser pricing. Duracell sucks.

I Cannot Believe that Duracell continues to get away with selling these Cheap Poorly Manufactured Batteries Just by Fake Advertising.

It is WELL KNOWN that Duracell Batteries LEAK BATTERY ACID if they are left inside ANY device for an extended period.
That period could be as long as a year or as short as a month - it Random
HOWEVER
THEY WILL LEAK - GUARANTEED
PLEASE STOP PURCHASING - The manufacture does not give a dame about your ruined device.

ANY OTHER BRAND will work just as well AND will not leak battery acid into your device

Duracell rechargeable AAA batteries don't seem to hold charge well and need recharging much sooner than e.g. Energizer AAA.

They might be vulnerable to overcharging, but if so, they are more vulnerable than other makes I use, such as Energizer and even Amazon's own brand.

I've now had to throw away at least 8 of their AAA rechargeables as more trouble than they're worth.

The only high charging is their price!

Bought an auto battery that lasted a year and a half before completely dying. Store refused to honor the "Full 2 Year Warranty" Contacted Duracell. Theyu replied "For all inquiries regarding Duracell SLIU1RT batteries, including questions or compatibility issues, please contact our partner and distributor, Batteries Plus Bulbs, at (855) 298-0344." A company that will not take responsibility for the quality of thier products does not deserve to be in business.

I have used Duracell batteries in a variety of devices for years, but no more. Virtually every device I have put them into in the last few years has been damaged by leaking acid (I made the mistake of buying the large quantity pack, and attempted to use them up). To their credit, and my time consumed to do so, they did pay for replacement devices for those that are still availible, but many of the items are one of a kind hand made clocks with electric movements. We are talking clocks, something that has to have batteries in it to function. Used to be the batteries would die (obvious, the clock stops) and you put new ones in, done! Every time the clock stops its due to corrosion, and the pull by date is still 6-8 years in the future! Don't bother with these, they are destructive in every way. The company recommends storing batteries out of the device, but what the heck is a clock without batteries, of a flashlight you have to fumble around in the dark installing batteries into in an emergency? Your call, but I'm through with them.

I bought a Duracell IS1000 charger that included AA batteries. I use them solely to power my Sony personal radio, which requires 2 AA batteries. Each day's use is usually 1 hr. They lasted weeks/months per charge -- and failed WAY LESS than the promised 400 recharges (maybe generously guessing 50 -- maybe) as they're are now indicating "error" since the red light blinks on attempt to recharge. I was tempted to buy more but thought why if these don't last anywhere near what they're alleged to provide. What a joke!

i bought 4 9volt batteries befor christmas 2022 still waiting i sent 2 emails to duracell nothing i will never buy from them again

These batteries are not great, I use a lot of AA and AAA batteries and i find they are no longer lasting than other brands but at a premium price, I also find some tend to leak after a period of time, which has caused damage to various items of equipment, the MN1300 type also don’t last very long compared to other brands

Ho acquistato venerdì due pile tipo cr 2025 ma mettendole nel telecomando della mia Clio non mi apriva la stessa. Così ho comprato l'energiajzer e tutto si è risolto.. Altamente sconsigliato....

BOUGHT DURCELL BATTERYS FOR YEARS THEN ALL THE SUDDEN I BOUGHT A PACK OF DEFECTIVE BATTERYS AND MY DEER CAMERA EXPLODED ALMOST CAUSED MY HOUSE TO GO ON FIRE! IF I DIDNT CHECK MY CAMERA BEFORE BED MY HOUSE WOULD HAVE BEEN ON FIRE!
DURCELL CUSTOMER SERIVCE IS THE WORST I HAVE EVER DEALTH WITH! I WILL NEVER EVER BUY NOT ANOTHER BATTERY FROM DURCELL I WILL PAY MORE FOR OTHER BATTERYS! I CANNNOT BELIEVE THERE CUSTOMER SERVICE! TERRIBLE PRODUCT! SADLY I HAD TO RATE IT A 1 BUT DESERVES A 0!

If possible, I`d give them a minus rating! 3 expensive smart home devices with leaking batteries at the same time! Please send pictures, send again, send the batteries , send the devices, send links where did you buy the devices...and the batteries...blablabla...they don`t want to help you...unbelievable - NEVER AGAIN one of these batteries - replaced all with Varta...Dura...what?

I used to swear by duracell but over the last 10 years the products have leaked and damaged so many of my appliances. Latest happened on the weekend where a £400 audio device that takes 10 D cells was found to have leaked and corroded after just 30 days. Where other manufacturers offer no quibble guarantees and even guarantee against leaks, Duracell customer service did not help.

I bought a torch that came with 2 AAA Duracell "coppertop" batteries. Use by date was March 2026. I put 1 battery in the torch (it only needs 1 battery) and the other stayed in its plastic wrapper. After about a year the one in the torch had leaked and destroyed the torch. I checked the unused spare - it was also leaking.
In the last 10 to 12 years no battery, even cheap chinese ones has ever leaked. Duracell are the most rubbish ones ever, and don't bother to tell them. After filling in their on-line form with photos the only response you will get is the standard "so sorry we will look into it". 2 months later they are still "looking into it" and my follow-up emails go unanswered. With such crappy products they must have a lot to "look into".

Ho provato le nuove batterie Duracell Optimum e ho effettivamente apprezzato la potenza iniziale decisamente superiore alle comuni pile. Le ho utilizzate su un telecomando di un condizionatore con display LCD che normalmente ha il contrasto molto basso e con le Duracell Optimum la luminosità era decisamente migliore. La potenza iniziale è quindi nettamente superiore portando anche una maggiore durata.

Advertising Batteries is hard and doesn't make much sense, but claiming your electric devices will get stronger by having a different cell is just BS and missleading.

Durcell Optimum Extra Life Extra Long Batteries are just BAD. I purchased 8, 8 packs. Unlike the traditional copper top you can't see into the package but after you open the box, pull out the vaccum sealed plastic container, its obvious they are NO GOOD. Batteries are leaking ACID and under the plastic everyone is crystalized with a white substance. Absolute trash! Contacted Duracell and the customer service person was as bad as the batteries, didn't care, was rude and acted as if my money I paid was nothing of value. I only wish I could post the photos so others could truely see the issue they want to ignore.
