They have been managing our building for over a year I believe. I was one of the few people that was telling to the other (many) residents to be patient and give Gateway time to familiarise themselves with the issues we have and prove their value. I have also never complained all this time despite lack of clarity on communications. This until recently when they asked to pay for faulty fire doors for our flats. We have escalated this to the relevant regulator as there were more than 20 (?) new-built flat doors in our complex that were found faulty. I am not an engineer but this seems a clear indication that there was something wrong when they were first installed. They did not want to examine this aspect and they are charging us (the leaseholders) instead. The regulator is following up.
Further to the above, we were left last weekend (for 3 days actually) without internet for the extraordinary reason that Gateway had not paid (or followed up with paying) a building electricity bill. Hard to believe this. My partner asked via email twice what happened and there has been no response whatsoever. Another resident shared a text by Gateway that they received, that’s how we know. The only information we receive from Gateway this past year or so is to pay bills. That’s all. We are so disappointed.
