Purchase fine, delivery less so

Website fine and purchase straightforward. Delivery less so. Purchased Thursday evening. Friday morning given Evri tracking link. On Sunday the tracking link suggested item was out for delivery the day before (Saturday), but not delivered. Sunday evening the link stopped working. Tuesday early evening the doorbell went (no text/email warning), but the deliverer had already gone when we answered the door. They wouldn't have known if anyone was in, but left the item in full view of the street. There was no additional packaging so you could see what the item was (electric fan), so how long it would have stayed there if we had been out is anyone's guess. Finally, although the item looks new there was no assembly/use instructions enclosed. However the fan seems fine and works well.

6 Man Tent

i ordered a 6 man tent from GED outlet which was a good find price wise, cost £32 and free delivery. however, the tent came with three tares/holes in the pole inserts and the instructions lacked detail.

Terrible

Terrible. Bought a so called "refurbished" hoover from this company. Turned up used, with a mouldy filter, damaged parts. Nowhere near refurbished, so basically a customer return and they have sold it, without doing anything. Avoid this business

I purchased a "Spear & Jackson 34cm…

I purchased a "Spear & Jackson 34cm Cordless Lawnmower - 24V (No Battery & No Charger) × 1" for a great price, to replace my broken one. When it arrived, I took it out of the box and it had been used. I have kept it as I really needed it, but I wasn't too happy as I wasn't aware it was refurbished.

The item was in a very poor condition…

The item was in a very poor condition to be sold for that price. I am yet to return it today. Please can you review items properly before putting to be sold on your app. I also did not realised it was a used item I wouldn’t have bought because the brand new one in Argos cost the same price it was just out of stock and I was really in need for it and I couldn’t even use it for the purpose I bought it. The item even arrived late.

Delivery issue dealt with efficiently

I didn't receive the product because Evri messed up, but when I highlighted the delivery issue to the retailer, they acted immediately to cancel the order and issue the refund. It's nice to find that problems, if they arise, are dealt with efficiently

This must be a scam company

This must be a scam company. The item came in a box sellotaped together. I bought a strimmer that came without a battery or charger. My sister and I both bought them. I was told I could return at my own cost! My sister got a free return all because of the way she requested the return! Beware! After challenging them on the cost I incurred they refused to refund my postal cost even though I highlighted the fact that they treated us both differently.

I have had this cat scratcher before…

I have had this cat scratcher before and its been difficult to get a replacement. Unfortunately, it was damaged one of the screws wasn’t working and the bit it went through was ripped. I think it had originally been a return, but Ive kept it. Ive patched it up using superglue and fluffy material over the sharp but the screw comes through - only because I can’t get this anywhere else and they only had one in stock. UPDATE: GED have reached out to me asked if I wanted to return it. I said no as Ive patched it up and it was the only one of that type i could get anywhere but they have given me half of my money back so I'm happy

We are disappointed to see this review, especially since your original return request stated:

"Received the Challenge cordless hedge trimmer however I can see from the sticker on the front that this item does not include the charger or battery and therefore would like to return it."

At no point did you mention any damage to the item or box. Returns are processed based on the information provided at the time of contact. Since no damage was reported, your return was handled under our standard unwanted item policy.

We always aim to be fair and transparent, but cannot address issues that are only raised after the return is complete.

Air conditioner

I received my air conditioner without its remote control and it needs this to work I have contacted GED sales as per the website but as yet I have still not received any contact. Poor Service.

Questionable reconditioning

It's a shame to give 2 stars. The item arrived exactly as described (so I thought). Worked beautifully first time but when I went to use it again, it started to cut out and smoke.
Against my better judgement I investigated. It was worth voiding any warranty to find out the problem. Inside the housing the wire was severed, this completely separated when I went to pick up the trimmer, with 2 hands. The inside of the housing was also full of dry leaf material, making me question how well it was reconditioned in the first place.
I wouldn't say don't use them, but buy with caution. Very much doubt I would buy from them again, unfortunately.
