Highly recommend

I found ordering online easy. Deliveries were prompt and packaged well and sent with care. Ordered multiple times and will again. Highly recommend.

I really like Holland & Barrett!

I really like Holland & Barrett! The products are really high-quality. The prices can be a bit high, but there are often great offers, which makes it totally worth it. I’m super happy with my purchases and definitely give them 5 stars!

Overcharged in store and told to sort it out myself

Overcharged in store despite advertised offer price — and customer service was no help

I was overcharged at my local Holland & Barrett store for an item that was clearly on offer both in their marketing and on their website. When I raised this with customer service, I waited a whole week for a response — only to be told to go back to the store myself to sort it out.

That is simply not good enough. If your store charges incorrectly, the burden of fixing it should not fall on the customer. A week-long wait followed by "go back to the store" is not customer service — it's passing the buck.

I expected better from a brand that prides itself on customer trust. Would think twice before shopping here again.

Time to find a new source

We use a lot of supplements since my daughters and I Ultra runners and the Byers location has Very few staff members that have much knowledge. I recently bought Spirulina that had passed the best use date and I believe the individual was a manager and was very condescending that the product would be expired. Plenty of other options when we spend a significant amount on creatine, collagen, spirulina and quite a few vitamins. Onwards!

Good range, prices and service

Good range of products and very convenient for me to Click and Collect to make sure they are available when I visit their stores. Often good prices too with their 3 for 2 promotion. Pleasant friendly help and service in the Teignmouth store. Thank you!

During a recent visit to Holland &…

During a recent visit to Holland & Barrett in Belfast city centre — what should be a flagship store — the level of customer service was extremely poor.

I entered the store intending to purchase sleep aid tea. However, three members of staff (two female, one male) were standing together engaged in a personal conversation, completely ignoring customers. The two female staff members appeared fully absorbed in what the male colleague was saying, with no awareness of the shop floor.

At one point, one of the female staff members looked directly at me and, in a noticeably abrupt and dismissive tone, said: “What do you want?” This was not only unhelpful, but frankly unacceptable in any customer-facing environment.

I observed at least three other customers leave the store without making a purchase. I did the same.

From a commercial perspective, this is deeply concerning. This is not just poor service — it is lost revenue in real time. Staff are being paid, yet the business is actively losing money due to a lack of basic customer engagement. That is not sustainable.

There also appears to be a broader cultural issue at play. The attitude displayed was disengaged and indifferent, and if left unaddressed, this kind of behaviour will damage the brand significantly. A flagship city centre store should represent the very best of the company — not undermine it.

I say this not simply as criticism, but because I believe the brand has strong potential. However, without immediate attention to staff training, accountability, and customer service standards, experiences like this will continue to drive customers away.

This is the kind of issue that, if corrected, could quickly improve both customer satisfaction and commercial performance. If ignored, it risks doing lasting harm to the business.

I hope this feedback is taken in the constructive spirit it is intended — to help protect and improve the future of the brand.
