This is horrendous device, I'm on my my 2nd coffee grinder within 18 months 😢 and the motor has failed again. No customer service from Joy Resolve.

Great Coffee Alarm Clock, Poor Aftercare
Bought the coffee alarm clock for my partner for Christmas. Opened and setup to find a dent/chip in the tray which affects how the tray sits in the main unit. And spoils the overall look of the unit slightly (but not the end of the world).
Sent an email on Jan 3rd 2022 to their info mailbox (as instructed to do so via their website) and heard absolutely nothing since.
All we need is a replacement wooden tray under the warranty. It would quite literally take 5 seconds to view the photos and process a replacement. Or at least an email response.

I've responded and chased with a further 2 emails. Your response was to ask for pictures. Pictures I sent in the 1st/original email. Regardless, I resent the pictures to you and still heard nothing. I know you're a start up but you're offering a premium product at a premium price.

Joyresolve did not respond to my email sent to the address they provided here. I have been completely ignored by the supplier and manufacturer and I’m now stuck with a faulty product I paid over $600 for. I shouldn’t have to fight this hard.

I purchased the Barisieur for my fiancé for Christmas. It’s been an utter disappointment from the get go. In total I paid $632.80 for the product. The package arrived completely sodden. The box was so wet it was falling apart at the seams. I contacting SSense immediately to no avail.
I removed the product and though the packaging was unsightly the product appeared dry inside. So as I hadn’t heard back, and with little time left until Christmas, I gifted the coffee maker.
He used it for the first time last night. The light display was so bright we could clearly see everything in the room. We had to turn the clock to face the wall. Secondly, the milk cooler did not work. So say at room temperature over night. Thirdly, the alarm brewing feature did not work. He set it to 5 mins before and activated it correctly. (Little cup and alarm appeared on display) but he had to hold to manually brew after the alarm sounded.
What an utter disappointment.
I’ve contacted them again and hope to receive a response.

The package was not sitting outside, no. It was wet at the bottoms and side of the package, and I was home to receive it. The delivery driver rang the bell, left it in front of my door (entirely covered porch) and walked back to the vehicle. I provided pictures to SSENSE and offered to supply them with the video footage of the delivery.
Turning the display off is helpful, though not ideal and we did try to deactivate and reactive the cooler as per the instructions, to no avail.
I will contact you at the email provided and appreciate you following up with it.

I ended up returning my Barisieur and am waiting for a refund. Although I never even opened the product, I wanted to give 5 stars to the staff for all their swift and kind customer support. Thank you for making everything easy guys!
Here we still are....
Further to my previous- we are now a year on and the company still hasn't delivered the item paid for. Several fob offs constantly saying it will arrive October...December....etc. I have received no updates despite the company constantly updating me that I am "on their list" This has to be the worst customer service I have ever experienced. Requested a refund on the whole package seeing as they haven't delivered part of it and was blanked- offered a refund on the item missing but that makes the rest of the item pretty useless seeing as I bought it for tea. Absolutely shambles of a company. Cannot recommend to AVOID strongly enough...

Excellent product impeccable customer service
I LOVE this product it has completely changed my mornings into a tranquil and pleasant experience rather than running around stressed and needing a tea/coffee.
Also, their customer service is the best I have ever received, particularly from a staff member called Emily, when I had a problem she resolved the issue extremely quickly and so pleasantly. She was an absolute dream to communicate with and I highly recommend this company not only due to the product but because of her delightful and professional customer service.
LOVE my Barisieur
LOVE my Barisieur! beautifully designed, and makes a damn good cup o’ joe. yes, it’s a bit pricey and pretentious for some people, but it was a Christmas gift, and I have thoroughly enjoyed it. I recently had a fast and efficient resolution to replacing my rubber bung for my creamer, which is not listed on the website as a replacement. however, customer rep Emily Adams shipped me a new one here in Hong Kong within 24 hours. Very helpful and courteous. (still waiting on my Double Walled Glass and Glass Barrel Chamber to increase my coffee volume, but I understand production has been slow-going, so I’m patiently waiting…) cheers!

The perfect way to wake up!!!!
Absolutely love this thing! The only drawback is that the cup is a little small and I’m addicted to cream and sugar lol!
But it is an utter dream to not have to wake up to a loud alarm that wakes my kids up and jsut wake up to the delicious smell of coffee. Thanks so much guys!

I ordered the Barisieur coffee alarm clock in November 2020. There was an initial issue with one of my pieces of hardware over the holidays (freak accident, just an electrical flaw) and the team at JoyResolve was responsive and wonderful, overnighting me a new part at no cost. I've used my coffee alarm every day since and it's an absolute game-changer. Love the product, the company and the customer service. I'll definitely purchase more of JoyResolve's products!
I wake up with a smile
One of most favorite purchases this year. It isn’t just a coffee machine, it’s a way of life. I wake up with the scent of coffee brewing 10 mins before my alarm clock. Usually I lay in bed for 30-45 mins but because of my joy resolve coffee maker I wake up gingerly before I am supposed to!
Good coffee and a centerpiece for attention
This is fun gizmo to have. It brews very good coffee, on par with V60 and similar and it is always a talking point for guests and visitors. I bought one the first Kickstarter ones, and it has worked well ever since. I am now upgrading with the new accessories. Had one problem with the glass for the water, but was replaced very quickly.

Milk cooler to noisy
This review is about the product made by Joy Resolve, (The Barisieur) not the sale of the item through thier website, as my item was purchased through a third party supplier.
Really nice looking product, unfortunately I was unable to try the coffee, as by 4am the noise got too much for me and I had to switch the unit off. Would be amazing if I didn’t use the milk cooler, I was unaware from the adverts for the item that the milk cooler operates on a set pattern of 15 minutes on and only 4 minutes off before back on for 15 minutes and that continues the whole time there is milk in the cooler. The cooling fans run at 35db (according to manufacturer), so basically the same as a computer fan running. Which, when right next to the bed as a bedside unit was sadly far too loud during the night for us, especially on a repetitive on/off pattern. Brilliant concept, amazing looking product, but sadly, in my opinion the milk cooler needs some refining to reduce the noise impact. Unit sent back for refund with the supplier.

Here is what I wrote in an email to Joy Resolve;
I wanted to let you know that the barisieur arrived for my wife, a little late as you told me, but never the less she absolutely loves it!
So I just wanted to let you know that we are impressed with what a great bit of kit it is, and as importantly that your honesty and humility, as well providing a solution that helped out with late Christmas presents has gained you many recommendations.
Im sure you had a lot of ‘grumbling’ emails, so I thought I would try and offset that with one of a bit of praise!

Never received product
Never received product. Was scheduled for delivery week of Christmas and originally customer service kept in contact but once UPS closed the claim I reached out again twice and heard nothing back. $300 product with no delivery signature is a big fail and not communicating about a replacement also a big fail.

The product is great and a joy to own. Costumer support also was really helpful, since there was a problem with my product at first, but it was sorted out quickly and I like businesses that stand behind what they sell.

Nice looking product marred by poor service…
Nice looking product for sure but unfortunately experience badly marred by delay after delay in delivering. Ordered 27 Nov. There were successive delays. Was initially assured it would be with me by 18th Dec, then 22nd, 24th, 31st then 4th Jan. It eventually arrived on 5th Jan. Too late for the birthday it was initially intended for and also for Christmas. Response from customer service was initially prompt but I have had no response to my latest email. I am also expecting the tea brew chamber but no word on that. A case of over promising and under-delivering which has sadly made for a poor experience overall.

They had technically done nothing wrong but contacted me and offered a solution, which they didn't need to do and I think this wonderful company deserves lots of credit.
