I have never hated a bike product more but for money reasons I'm stuck with it.

It is heavy.
It barely fits between the spokes of the wheel requiring so much twisting and fiddling it takes ages to lock/unlock the bike.
It doesn't fit on the frame of my bike (Marin Presidio 1) in any configuration.
It doesn't fit in any rear mounted bags.
It came with an attachment for 'wearing' but the curve is so tight and it's so inflexible unless you have a 32" waist it's painful. Definitely not suitable for a woman's shape.
They don't fit together because the curve won't flatten to line up and be able to fit into the bike.
They take up entire rucksacks because they are so rigid.

I loved the previous iteration but that one was stolen.

They are the worst - the unwieldiness of a D lock with without the flexibility of the previous style.

Absolute waste of over £200 for 2

Phenomenally well made lock that just gives complete peace of mind if I need to leave my bike in the wild. It just feels so well made and all mechanical parts ie. lock mechanism, feel like they'll last and last. I ordered the straps to I can affix the lock to my luggage rack and they hold everything in place exceptionally well

I am extremely pleased with the X1. The construction is well documented in terms of resilience. I would like to add that it is well designed and ergonomic in use. I feel much more relaxed and secure leaving my bike when parked at home and abroad. Fixing through both discs and the wheel hub is ideal.
I can recommend the Litelok X1 as probably the most cost effective item of motorcycle security available.

I bought Litelok X1 lock for my son, who is off to uni with his bike. I hope that the advertised resistance to angle grinders will make it less attractive to try to nick his bike, particularly as the choice of places to lock it are inside with nothing solid to lock to (rejected) or outside to a Sheffield stand. I got to see a Gold standard U lock from the competition being cut off with an angle grinder when we embarrassingly lost the key on holiday. It took about 3 minutes with one blade. If this one takes more than one blade then that is some deterrent."

Amazing quality and build of the lock. Not too heavy, so I can carry in bagpack.

Looked at all sorts of diamond grade locks and read loads of reviews. Sure there are similar angle grinder resistant locks out there and possible slightly cheaper ,in UK anyway, but the quality and attention to detail, as well as a brilliant carrying bracket, the tactical mount, sets Litelok apart IMHO. The rubber finish and reflective stripes are useful and it's big enough X1 to fit in frame triangle but allows it to reach most bike stands. Customer service, P&P was good too. Yes, expensive, but you get what you pay for and was still less than 10% of the bikes value. Worth it for the peace of mind

NoNothing but the best for my ADV350. So my new Litelok X1 Moto keeping it safe. Just need one to secure the rear wheel. Just wish Litelok made a wider lock to fit over the tyre too. Maxiscooters are a target for thieves. Come on Litelok back to the CAD drawing board for Scooterlok X1.

Having recently purchased two LITELOK x3 this review can only be about why I purchased the ultimate Security. After having several bikes stolen in London over the last few years, I have used H/D Chains, H/D Padlocks, Disc Locks (x2), Alarms, Bike Covers, Ground Anchors (Provided by Westminster Council). Secure Car parks and various “U” Locks and still got my bikes stolen, it’s time to try the ultimate “LITELOK”. I need to be flexible travelling around London and the Home Counties on my Motorcycle so security is my Priority. If LITELOK gives that I will submit further updates to the site. "

I had several questions and all were answered promptly and my order was despatched and reached me the next day. The quality and finish of the locks were excellent.

I ordered two locks from LiteLok. My review is a bit different as I have not yest received my product due to a FedEx issue with the product being stuck in their hub for two weeks. LiteLok Customer Service has been pursuing this and keeping me informed.

You immediately get the feeling that you’re holding a truly high-quality lock in your hands. The build quality and craftsmanship are, in my opinion, first-class — you can tell right away that this is a premium product.

The only criticism I have is that there is no dedicated mounting option for an e-scooter. That seems a little surprising, considering that a large proportion of customers nowadays probably buy this lock specifically for use with an e-scooter.

"This lock was purchased as an upgrade to existing locks due to increased bike theft in our area. It fits easily through the rear sprocket and around the “spoke” of the wheel. It will not fit the front disc. It is part of a layered security for the bike. Very pleased thus far. "

So glad I bought this lock from LITELOK. Its the best lock I've never bought. I've bought it to use on my driveway gates. I Won't be buying anything other locks in the future. Marvellous Lock, the quality is outstanding, and the delivery service is first class. The customer care is brilliant.

"Having checking the dimensions time and time again I purchased the X3.I wanted the lock to go through both discs and wheel which it does with about 10mm spare.Full piece of mind as we tour all over Europe. Solid bit of kit with a handy bag(pouch) keeping it from banging about in pannier. Had a small wait for it but now having used it can see why there in demand"
