The worst customer service

I wish I had read this company’s review before I made a purchase. I don’t usually leave reviews specially bad ones, but I think I should share my experience because it was truly bad. Actually, it was the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced.

I purchased Harlowe jacket online on 12/25/2020. Shipping was quick and I received it on 12/31. The jacket was perfect fit for me and I really liked the design. Then I noticed there was a big white stain on the collar. (It looked like foundation stain.) When I started looking closely, I found more stains throughout the jacket and pills on inside cuffs. The jacket was obviously worn before. I understand customers try jackets on and return, but don’t they inspect before they ship to other customers? For a over $800 jacket, they should inspect every detail to make sure it’s in perfect condition.

So I tried to make an exchange but my size was sold out at local stores and online shop. At that moment I was still in love with the jacket. I’m tiny and it’s hard to find a down parka that fits me so well. I asked for a compensation or free cleaning which they could have offered me before I asked them. They replied saying they would study the case and get back to me (which they never did) while they kept insisted me on returning as a quick easy solution. I kept telling them I didn’t want to return, I wanted a brand new clean jacket which they supposed to send me to begin with, but they didn’t seem to care. I spoke to two online customer representatives and two store associates to solve my issue, but none of them were helpful. They are not particularly rude but you sense their unwillingness to help throughout the conversation. They are not sympathetic at all and not willing to understand the customer’s needs. Their customer service can not do much but process returns. They offer customers basically nothing for the mistakes entirely caused by them. It’s hard to believe to receive this kind of service specially when they charge a lot of money for their products. I’ve never treated like this before even at a discount store! I think they don’t have a slightest idea what it means to call themself “luxury brand”. Quality and service supposed to come with the price, but sadly, neither of them exist in this company.

Anyway, after several days of frustrating e-mail exchanges with this company, I’ve lost my excitement about this jacket and decided to return. Whenever I look at it, it just gives me bitter feelings and I don’t want that every time I wear the jacket. I just don’t want to deal with this company anymore.

Be careful when you order online because when you have problems, they will not help you.

I am very disappointed with Mackage…

I am very disappointed with Mackage customer service and return policy. I got a a jacket over $600 on Christmas and it unfortunately it big for me. I passed 2 days after their 30 day return policy and they refused to take it back or at least to offer a store credit. For such us luxury brand it is unbelievably bad experience. Never buy from them again!!!

Sending defected item for online sale - no replacement, no exchange

They had boxing sales so I went on and purchased a pair of leather gloves with metal parts on them. Even though I had a bad experience with their craftsmanship and quality control previously I thought I’d give them another chance. I was wrong. They seem to send defected merchandise for sale items. I feel so scammed because the metal parts on the gloves had bubbles and bunch of scratches although they are supposed to be new. Also some leather part wasn’t tucked in correctly so was bulging out. Original price $220 for a pair of gloves but with sale it was $132. Final sale- so they don’t offer exchange or return. They don’t replace the item even though they made the products in a bad quality. It’s like telling me to suck it up and eat the sh**t because I bought a sale item. They shouldn’t charge so much if they can’t deliver quality goods. They don’t deserve the brand name. I’m losing trust on these luxury brands.

Excellent Brand and service.

Excellent jacket, bought KENDRICK DOWN PUFFER WITH REMOVABLE HOOD and very good quality. Fast delivery despite the festive holidays. Customes services replied within 12 hours when I had a query. Highly recommended.

Extremely poor repair standards

Writing this with a heavy heart but I’m disappointed that such a great brand would not deliver on their promises.

I own a down coat with fur-lined hood, worth approx. $ 1,190. The fur ripped so I sent it in for a repair, thinking that they’ll fix it properly. What I got is a patched up hood, with fur patches of different colours, different hair length etc stitched one beside another.

It looks awful... photo in the profile doesn’t even show the extent of it..

I wish I didn’t bother with shipping it to another continent to get it fixed, not to mention the expense.

Worst Customer Service

Worst Customer Service
I received this coat as a Christmas gift 4 days ago. I called customer service to set up exchange for a large size and was told since the order was placed November 15th I could not return/exchange since it was after the 30 day window. I have NEVER heard of a company that doesn't have an extended return/exchange window for the holidays. So now I am stuck with $1,000 coat that doesn't fit. I will never ask for a gift or purchase from this company again.

CAMMERS!!!!If it would be 0 i would put them 0..Worth costumer service.Stilling money from people not delivering items and no apologizing for it.I ordered belt bag on November 29,2020, i was promised that item will be shipped in 2-5 business days, surprise surprise December 22, item not send more over, not longer available. They want to fool me first saying item was shipped and delivered, which never happened, then over 3 weeks every other day they were lying and assuring me that item is available and will be shipped before holidays.Never happened. Please do not order anything from them!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They treating people like very poorly, NOT TRUTHWORTHY !!!!Thanks for ruining my HOLIDAYS MACKAGE!!!

Have I read the reviews, I would be in a better place. Placed an order with mackage.com on the 10th after reading their shipping is 3-7 days. My order is stuck in being processed and the chat service didn’t help at all. Please be aware and always read the reviews. I don’t even know if it will get to me before Christmas as it’s a present to a dear friend who I wanted to introduce to the brand as I have one of their jackets I got from a store. They take the money and they don’t deliver. If it doesn’t come , I will contact my bank to get my money from them. I will write an article like I do with that brand.

I will give me them zero if I could... how can they do this to people?!!!!! This is beyond rediculous.. I returned two jackets a montb ago. One item was refunded and the other one still processing why?!!! No one knows, have been waiting for my around 800£ bank which is a lot of money for me, yet there is not customer care at all.. They made me hate the brand the jacket and myself. They stressed me out and my husband. Wasting a lot of time going after them with phone calls and emails.. what to do next? I have never experienced something similar even in a supermarket. Zero zero zero still waiting for my money.

Horrific order processing and ineffective customer service.

I have never seen customer service being so inefficient. Calling them or using their online chat is basically a waste of time. I placed my online order on Nov 29. The order status has not been updated for about a week. On Dec 9 they finally created a FedEx label for my order. What it means is that the package is ready to be picked up by FedEx. Another week passes and there is still no update. I have contacted them three or four times, asking for an update. Customer Service reps just give me a generic response that they are working hard or have escalated the issue and I will receive an update, but nothing happens. All my inquiries disappear into a "black hole" and I get absolutely no updates on the status of my order. They also charged me for the item already!! And that is not a small amount.

Fake Black Friday deals and broken promises

I was very into one of their jackets - "Chano". It was out of stock from the second it came "on sale" for Black Friday. I spoke to support and they assured me that it would come in-stock before the sale was over, and that they would contact me.

They even insisted (and forced me into giving my address, etc.) to create an account. I really wanted the jacket, so I did it.

Guess what? Right after black friday, the jacket was taken down, never seen again, and never heard from support. LOUSY!!

I order my first coat at Mackage.con and fedex said it was delivered and sighed by me and I have prove that I was working on that day Mackage said it take 2 to 10 week for investigation when I pay and I can show prove that it wasn’t signed by me, very disappointed is not my fault that fedex didn’t do their job. I haven’t received any call from Mackage I have to keep calling.

Thanks to the Bado and the staff at Yorkdale....

Saw a pair of boots online decided to call the Yorkdale store to see if I can purchase them from the store instead of online. Staff was so helpful, brought them out to show me before I bought them. Told me not to worry if they did not fit I can return or exchange them. Ended up purchasing the boots. love them! Thanks to Bado and the staff at Yorkdale!!

Stuck with two kids coats that don't zip up easily

Bought two coats both kids sizes (Jo-T size 6 and Jo size 8) during the off season. As we took the coats out of the closet for this coming winter, we tried putting them on for the kids. We had a great deal of difficulty zipping up the coats because of the poorly designed two-way zippers. I have used two way zippers in many other brand coats and never had problems. The design of these zippers by Mackage are horrendously difficult to zip up for both child and adult. The side without the zipper slider would not go all the way into both sliders. As a parent who struggled to zip up the child's coat, I can only imagine the near impossibility of a 6 year old successfully zipping it up at school! I thought it was just the one coat that had the problem. So we pulled out the other coat for the other child and it too was very difficult to zip up the two way zipper. This is definitely Mackage design issue and not a user issue. The poor design choice for the zipper makes both the coats near unwearable. At these prices, you think that they use better quality zippers. Very disappointed with both these coats.

Horrific customer service

It's the first time I've been shopping and get stressed like this. I have a terrible experience at Mackage.com
Their website says free shipping and free returns here and there. Of course, the final sale product description also said that, so I ordered. I would never buy an expensive jacket if I couldn't return it. But the results were terrible. When I received the jacket, a button was missing. The leather fabric also had a lot of wrinkles.
So I ordered one more of the same new jackets, believing in free shipping and free returns here and there. And when I tried to return the defective jacket, it was impossible to return.
I was so absurd. I believed in a free return and bought two of the same jackets. However, when I was told that I could not return, I asked to cancel the jacket I ordered 30 minutes ago. But it was also rejected. just only 30 minutes have passed from ordered.
I'm still contacting them by email, but I'll see what is going to happens.

Horrific customer service

I purchased a jacket from the Mackage store in upper east side in NY, Mackage Madison. After I came back home, I opened the garment bag and realized that the sales associate gave me the wrong size (they gave me a M when I wanted an XS). I called them a dozen times the day after and no one picked up the phone at the Madison store nor at the Soho store. Their voicemail is also so packed there was no option to leave a message. I called the customer service line and they said there is nothing they can do for me since the order was placed in the store. The rep was very rude and not helpful. She said there is no option for escalation and that there is no corporate ability to resolve this. I live very far away from the store and it would take me more than an hour to drive there to replace the item to the correct size. Extremely annoyed at the lack of customer service at Mackage. Mackage charges a luxury price but is by no means a luxury product.

I regret spending $1800 on coat from…

I regret spending $1800 on coat from Mackage. I also bought a coat for my girlfriend at the time too thinking it was a great idea including the fact they both come with lifetime guarantee. However, I noticed whilst wearing my coat last winter the fur was falling out. The whole lining of the coat is patchy all over from where the fur has fallen out. There is also a hole in the pocket where I can stick my hand right through. I emailed Mackage and sent the coat back to them for inspection (which I had to pay for). They emailed me after three weeks informing me that my coat has to be sent off for 3-4 MONTHS for repair. This is not acceptable and quite frankly - NOT FAIR. I have spent this money and I now have to be without a coat for the entire winter because of the terrible quality they provided? I will never buy mackage again. Terrible customer service.

I am a previous mackage customer and…

I am a previous mackage customer and have always loved the brand and have a couple of their coats, however after this week, I will never buy from them again. I am not a stranger to luxury fashion purchases and order on a regular basis and with this comes great customer service, easy and quick ordering and returns. This week I ordered 3 of the same item over 3 days due to it going into the sale. Mackage have refused to accept a return even though the website contradicts itself and the Black Friday home page clearly states free delivery and returns and they pass it off as you ticking all the boxes at checkout. My mistake for not reading them but realistically - who does. They refused to cancel my orders that I’d placed within a couple of hours after realising I couldn’t return because their systems don’t allow it. They refused to accept a return of the coat they could clearly see I had accidentally ordered 3 times. The coat I received didn’t even look the same as the website.
For the sake of a sale refund they have lost my custom and recommendations and lost future high value purchases. Shame on you Mackage, you don’t deserve to be classed as a luxurious brand based on your terrible customer service and inflexible processes. Your infrastructure will set you behind the times in the future and you will continue to lose customers, for that I have no doubt.

Awesome Parka and Customer Service

Recently purchased the Mackage Edward Fur, honestly the best winter coat I have ever owned, very cool looking and ridiculously warm. It really is Winter ready, be that wind, rain, or snow temperatures. I have tried another famous Canadian brand, it didnt come close to my Mackage or their customer service. They have just gained a customer for life.
