I’m very happy with their customer service, they are one of best and cheapest insurer in the market
My policy was cancelled without any proper attempt to clarify my circumstances. When completing the application, I listed my employment honestly. However, the form only allowed me to enter one job, despite the fact that I have two. At no point was I given the opportunity to explain this before my policy was cancelled.
What has made this situation worse is the complete lack of accessible customer support. I have been unable to speak to a real person on the phone, and the chatbot has been unhelpful and unable to deal with my issue. This has left me with no way to properly resolve what appears to be a misunderstanding.
I expect a fair review of my case, including a proper explanation for the cancellation and an opportunity to provide accurate information about my employment. I would also like clarification on whether this cancellation will affect my record going forward.
Overall, this experience has been extremely frustrating and disappointing due to both the handling of my policy and the lack of customer support.
It’s very easy to access and I had few questions and clarification they explained me well and they brought good solutions in correct time

Having spoken to Lee on chat and after sending him screenshots of cheaper insurance quotes elsewhere he came back and matched the cheapest quote and I don’t need to pay another deposit. Needless to say I have stayed with Marshmallow for a second year.
Can’t fault them as a company they have always been so straightforward and no faffing around
I am being pressured into decisions re my car insurance claim without the information I need and have requested. Marshmallow say they aim to respond with 48 hours.
Marshmallow has not responded to several emails asking for more information.
Trying to make a formal complaint on their system is difficult.
Marshmallow renewed my car insurance automatically without my explicit approval. When I tried to query this via their chat support — the only channel they offer — I received no response after multiple attempts with bot Marsha on the renewal date. What makes this worse is that I now face a cancellation fee if I don't act within 14 days. This is a deliberately engineered window: renew without consent, go silent on support, then profit from the cancellation charge. This is not an oversight — it is a structured process designed to extract money from customers. I am escalating this to the Financial Ombudsman Service and urge anyone facing the same to do the same. Avoid this company.
If I could I would give 0 stars.I have purchased the insurance and straight after I found out is not what I have agreed initially and I paid for .
This company is scam and I would strongly advice not to go ahead with them.
I’m now waiting for the response from the complaint and will be going to Ombudsman.
It's amazing as my renewal price dropped for coming year and The Marshmallow Agent named Alisha helped me to get it out and helpful, friendly and patience at same time.
