They arranged a visit with my Mother after the funeral plans were transferred to another Company.
Surprise surprise, after 3 hours of hard sell she signed up to an expensive product she doesn't need just to get rid of the woman.
Told them on the phone she wanted to cancel. Still no documents received or refund yet paid despite several phone calls.

At first they were good ( 15th March 2022 ) , professional by all respects but then after several months they go in to administration and I decided to cancel my policy due to a similar company going the same way. I was told I would pay a cancellation fee and WOULD receive the balance in 3-5 working days , this has not happened

dold hearted people take 100 deposit then cancel fee of 595 plus all money paid in no consider raition in hard times doesnt cost 595 just to take name of and cancell told friends family stay away from here

To confirm, as per your original terms and conditions, should a Customer choose to close their plan outside of their cooling off period then a cancellation fee of £595 would be applied. In addition, should the amount paid be an amount equal to or less than the cancellation fee, no refund would be payable. We wish you all the very best for your future endeavours.

I have taken a Direct Cremation plan…You deserve the best. Just as I do.
I have taken a Direct Cremation plan out and paid in full within the last year. I was very impressed by how the whole process was dealt with. Never did I feel pushed or cajoled into taking out the plan.
Originally I was called a couple of times but both were inconvenient to talk. I suggested a convenient time two weeks away and didn’t get any more calls until that day.
The gentleman, and he was, explained everything in fine, understandable language to me.
I was so impressed I agreed to the policy. There was a cooling off period but I knew I wouldn’t need it. Thank you to this gentleman as I feel the biggest part of my affairs is now in order. I feel utter relief my one and only son can relax knowing my funeral is fully taken care of. He makes one phone call and the team at Prosperous Life do everything after I’ve passed. Couldn’t be more perfect.
I called the office today to ask if everything was still in order and the company is up and running. The gentleman on the phone made me feel very comfortable asking questions. He answered and put to rest any concerns I had.
If you are unsure who to buy a funeral policy with, fear not. You could do far worse going with a company less professional or well known. You deserve the best. Just as I do. Thank you to the whole team.

after taking out a policy many months ago,im begining to doubt taking it,you are not FCA or fpa aproved,so im going to ask for a refund,also u dont jave any 3rd party expence package available(others do) plus i dont feel comfortable with ur company. please advise on a refund,and please dont try to change my mind,ive already decided. thanks sammy mcphail.UPDATE.......since speaking again with prosperous life,i have now had a refund in full,after i stated that they did tell me they would be going with fca,it turned out they didnt so a full refund was issued.

Contacted prosperous life regarding life insurance as I had none, and I’m so glad I did, Brendan carr came to my home and he explained all options to me in a way I understood , he made it a very easy process and I was delighted with the plan I took as it was exactly what I was looking for, I would never of been able to of done this without Brendan’s help, speaking about your funeral can be a bit daunting but with Brendan it was the total opposite and I felt very much at ease speaking about it as he made me feel at ease , we also had a good laugh which was good as it made the process a lot easier to do. I would defo recommend prosperous life for life insurance and funeral plan, you get what you ask for at affordable rates and if your lucky enough to get a visit from Brendan then the whole process will be better than you thought. .

Funeral Plan cancellation
Signed up for the funeral plan. Afterwards I read that Prosperous Life was not FSC registered which may preclude future sales of this plan with new legislation. Consequently I cancelled the plan within the 30 day cooling off period. I am still awaiting refund of the £100 deposit

At Prosperous Life we believe that regulated businesses are always much stronger businesses, giving consumer confidence and ensuring that there is always a customer focus in all we do. Furthermore, all customer funds are held in the Great British Funeral Trust, which is independently managed by Trustees and Actuaries, to ensure that customer funds will be available when the time comes to activate your prepaid funeral plan. To confirm, your plan was been closed and your refund requested from the Trust. Please do allow 3/5 working days for your refund to be reimbursed. Consultant Oblivious to Time
The consultant turned up with a nasty cold, no mask and no identity card. The whole explanation was extremely long winded and about an hour into the conversation we indicated that we would like to wrap up asap. I explained to her that we have both worked in the pension fund industry and were familiar with all the terminology used. The whole process could have been done and completed in an hour and need not to have taken nearly 2 and a half hours. We wanted to take out a plan and in the end rushed her to finailse everything. Should either of us catch a cold, we will cancel the policy.
The consultants should not assume that people who are not in full time employment or semi-retired have all the time in the world. Check with your clients/ potential clients how much time they can afford you before you make an appointment. I cannot rate the policy as that is only something you can do at claim stage. Thanks
