System is excellent

System is excellent. I called technical support with a complex issue with diverting calls from BT to RingCentral, they quickly realised the problem and corrected it. Brilliant system and even better support. So glad I’ve changed to RingCentral.

The service was OK

The service was OK. But the costs were too high for a small business like mine, the dashboard is clunky, and the cancellation period was 8 months.

Con-artists, Lawsuit imminent in the near future.

This is to inform I am in process of seeking lawyer since you refuse to launch official fraud complaint investigation. RingCentral also does not participate in Ombudsman services, therefore a court case is way to go.

Please act ASAP and contact me via email provided before to your support/billing team or I will be seeking legal advice very soon.

You already ignored my email sent to customerexperience email address dated 9/07/2024.

Now that financial ombudsman investigation coming to an end with my bank I have STRONG evidence point to your undoing re unauthorized Direct Debits.

Quoting part of response from Financial Ombudsman investigator, who I will not name for their privacy

''This means, the distress that Ms Bellerose is clearly experiencing is not because of the bank, but because of the actions of the third party – RingCentral. If it wasn’t for RingCentral setting up the mandate, then all of this could be avoided.''

Backround
I am previous Sitel UK (now Foundever) agent who worked during COVID.
Sitel used RingCentral as a partner for online telephony system to call the public.
I have never used RingCentral as a customer, only time ever I've used their software is when I worked for SITEL.
RingCentral confirms I am not their client on multiple basis, I have screenshots and recorded calls to back this up.

The Issue:
RingCentral charging me unathorised direct debits (10 in total) between dates 5 Apr 2024 - 28th Jun 2024

Consequences:
-Spending chasing Information Communication Officer (ICO), Financial Ombudsman Services (FCO), Sitel LTD, RingCentral, Ulster Bank regarding this for OVER 5 months now and ongoing
-Paranoia of money being taken away at any time from bank, since FOC doesn't see how it's bank's fault. Meaning I monitor my bank multiple times daily as it goes out at random times
-Decline in mental health, anger, depression, stress caused by this. I am disabled on LCWRA element I suppose to be getting better and seek work instead of dealing with thieves and bulls***

How RingCentral is at fault

1. Refusal to officially launch fraud investigation despite me contacting them on the following days, meaning they don't care at all or hiding dodgy stuff

8/4/2024 (12.24pm) - call to Support Team, who said they will get Fraud team involved in next couple days... which Never happened, never responded via call or email.
20/6/2024 - Spoke on live chat and second time on phone lady said fraud team will get back in few days... never happened.
21/6/2024 - Live chat sales agent refusal to speak to supervisor and log in complaint after explaining last few events, they tried to toss me away again.

2. Setting up direct debits without my permision

I am quoting direct debit site directly:

You’ll get advance notice of the amount and date of a Direct Debit from the company you’re paying

1. Anyone who collects Direct Debits from you has to let you know, in advance, how much will be taken and when. This is usually in the form of a bill but could be a simple letter, text or email note if, for example, you’ve signed up to pay for something in instalments; it is the biller’s responsibility to send the communication via the channel you have agreed with them. To note, missing the communication is not grounds for a refund.

Never happened 0 notification from these fraudsters regarding setting anything up or amounts changing etc.

2. The organisation you’re paying either asks you to physically sign a Direct Debit Instruction (a paper Direct Debit) or you give them permission to set one up over the phone or online (a paperless Direct Debit)

No permission were given ever from me Alexandra Bellerose, they probably robbed information from my previous employer Sitel

3. The Guarantee
If there are any changes to the amount, date or frequency of your Direct Debit the organisation will notify you (normally 10 working days) in advance of your account being debited or as otherwise agreed. If you request the organisation to collect a payment, confirmation of the amount and date will be given to you at the time of the request

Again no notification from RingCentral anywhere they are changing amounts on direct debits they are charging me, because..... IT"S A FRAUD

Appalling Customer Service and Ignored Promises

Our experience with RingCentral has been nothing short of disastrous. We’ve been loyal customers for years, but after finding more affordable options, we requested to cancel. RingCentral offered a discount, which we accepted, but they never followed through. Multiple calls, promises of follow-ups, and absolutely nothing—no emails, no callbacks. Worse, after another call, we were disconnected and not contacted again. I have emailed the CEO directly and have still been ignored! Truly disgraceful service and handling of loyal customers. Avoid at all costs if you value reliable service and transparent communication.

SME friendly

Really is a fantastic service, very easy to setup, very fast processing service and I also received training for using the system.

Because of some changes on our side there were some teething issues but the support has been excellent and fixed up fast.

Look forward to many more years with RC.

Good service

Good service. Had some teething problems as to be expected but the team sorted very smoothly and were extremely helpful

This is nothing but a scam. Their service does not work at all, customer support is non-existent, and the website is pathetically designed to the extent that it is difficult to even delete the account.

Terrible customer service - avoid this company

I'm a paying customer, but can't seem to speak to anyone no matter what channel I try. Tried calling 6 times over the last week and been in queue for over an hour. Chat support is only a bot and no humans. Emails not replying to. Shocking company - will be cancelling.

Painfully slow and disjointed customer…

Painfully slow and disjointed customer service. Our Account manager keeps passing us back to another team, who you can only reach on chat, who take approximately 30 minutes to respond. Its been excruciating to try and get any answers or support from them. Account management are lazy!!

Great Service

Phone Line was set up very quickly and very easy to use. Customer Service was great and was always on hand with any issues or questions I had.

RingCentral and Liam has been great!

RingCentral has been great, as has the support. My Account Manager Liam has been especially helpful and is always available if I have any questions or problems. The system is excellent and fingers-crossed we have had nothing go wrong. When we did have issues with a few Ports Liam and his team were able to fix it quickly. Thank you.

Extremely poor customer service and account management

We have been with RingCentral for a few years now and were hoping for the product to provide adequate functionality, it has significant limitations compared to its competitors.

Their biggest shortcoming is their customer service and account management. They do not respond to emails or phone calls, leaving cases unresolved for weeks, and follow-up attempts are ineffective. You request a complaints procedurer and 3 months later, there is no reply.

For example, I have tried to reduce our line count due to decreased usage, but despite sending five emails to our account manager, I have yet to receive a suitable response.

I would suggest exploring other providers that offer better service at an affordable cost

Unable to register at it it's…

Unable to register at it it's constantly rejecting my request to sign up and why when I try to sign up again it's just saying that I have already used up my free trial if this is just a clever technique to make sure that people don't signup to their website for free trial than I am really unsure besides that not a really good option for businesses.

Title: Adequate Product, Severely Lacking Customer Service

While RingCentral's product offers reasonable functionality, it comes with notable limitations, particularly regarding call routing and group management. The most significant drawback, however, is their customer service and account management. They are unresponsive to emails and phone calls, leaving cases unresolved for weeks. Efforts to chase them up are futile. For instance, I've been attempting to reduce our licence count due to decreased usage, and despite sending three emails to our account manager, I have yet to receive a response. Additionally, obtaining clarity on costs and billing for other countries has been extremely frustrating. In summary, although the product is passable, the poor customer service is a major drawback. I would recommend considering other providers that offer better service at a lower cost.

Beware RingCentral traps you into long-term, auto-renewing, contracts !

Once you enter into a contract with RingCentral, they will make it as difficult as possible to cancel or even downgrade your package. Their sales team will be nice until you sign up and then you will deal with rude and arrogant representatives of RingCentral.
Watch out for the following :
1) They will get you to sign a long term contract that auto renews by the same term, every time !
2) If you wish to cancel, you have to do it within 30 days Before your contract end date - not a day before or after. They will not give you an email to send your cancellation requests to, so it’s even more difficult to cancel.
3) During your contract, they will refuse to downgrade your contract - eg reduce the number of lines. We currently have 10 x lines.
4) Once you sign up with Ringcentral if you need to get in touch with their customer services team, they will take forever to answer or direct you to voicemail after spending in excess of 15 minutes waiting in a queue.
5) If you do decide to purchase from this company, please read your contract carefully before you sign it !
Honestly RingCentral is one of the worst companies I have had to deal with. We have been with them for over 6 years now and every time we try to make changes to our contract it’s the same story. The number of 1-star reviews they get tells the true story of what it’s like dealing with them. Don’t be a victim and stay as far away from this company as possible.
