Staff were rude. I have autism and a sunflower lanyard. I am autistic and struggle with sensory overload. Staff claimed I was “queue jumping” I missed my flight, which was my fault of course, but when I was struggling staff said they couldn’t help. In the end it took me having a meltdown before they sent someone to help me. He was nice, but that’s about it.
Worst airport I’ve ever experienced
Worst airport I’ve ever experienced. At their website they claim to have 40+ stores and shops. When we got through security (which might aswell be 3 security guards with a oversized toilet duster) we had 4 stores. AND ONCE YOU ENTER A LOUNGR YOURE STUCK!! CANNOT LEAVE.. Lounge 4 or Gate M did not even tax free or duty free.. just a regular look alike store, an urban foods market, some self service shit show, and a wannabe bar resultant called Birra Moretti, that had 4 drinks (didnt serve half the drinks), 1 tap beer, 2 bottled beers, and 3 foods (didnt serve 1 of the 3 foods) and the server barely speaks English, and looks like they have 5 pronouns and are 13.. and there is NO smoking area, do NOT check in early.
This has been the most atrocious airport experience I’ve ever had or even imagined. I’d swim next time than use schipol airlines.
Besides that… 12 euro for a small salad.. just because it says “Italian” on the plastic dosent it make it +10 euro more worth..

Apres avoir passé le scanner corporel à la sécurité, l’agent présent sur place a demandé à réaliser une fouille corporelle supplémentaire.
L’agent a été très agressive et a multiplié inutilement les mêmes gestes très invasifs.
Elle plantait ses doigt dans ma peau de manière douloureuse.
J’ai eu le reflex de reculer. L’agent a immédiatement proclamé que je refusais le contrôle.
Elle m’a ordonné de la suivre dans une pièce isolée. Alors que j’étais déjà en retard pour mon vol et que j’ai perdu beaucoup de temps inutilement dans la file pour le security Check où seulement quelque posts étaient ouverts malgré la file d’attente.
J’ai demandé à pouvoir récupérer mon téléphone, resté sur le tapis de sécurité, afin de filmer cette situation, qui a dégénérée en seulement quelques secondes et sans raison légitime.
L’agent a refusé que j’apporte mon téléphone.
Elle a recommencé la fouille du début, en exécutant de nouveau des gestes très agressifs.
Je venais de passer un scanner corporel mais elle a pourtant commencé à regarder sous mes vêtements et sous vêtements.
Elle m’a demandé, de manière très accusatrice pourquoi j’étais anxieuse, alors que cette situation relevait d’une agression physique, sans la moindre raison légitime par une agent de sécurité frustrée en total abus de pouvoir.

Clear anti-expat feelings overlaid with some racist jibes at a colleague, lovely welcome back home… some staffing changes required
Non EU passport arrived Friday…
Non EU passport arrived Friday afternoon and departed again Sunday evening. Very efficient security and border control both ways. About 5 mins on arrival through EES Route 1 and 20mins to depart again.
The nicest, friendliest staff at every point wishing you a safe flight with smiles on their faces and a bit of banter. Exceptionally clean well stocked toilets, plenty of comfortable seating. Products in the shops are usually airport prices. The Schipol airport app is great too.

Lange wachttijden bij controles. Grote lompe luchthaven. Wil je op tijd zijn kom zeker 3 uur of meer op voorhand.

By the time we got to baggage claim, our cases had been taken off and just left, where anybody at all could have taken them, a huge security concern.
An absolute joke of an airport, and does not encourage us to come back to Amsterdam again.
Very poor passport control management
Absolute disgrace of a passport control, terminal 3 departures if you're non-EU you are screwed. More than an hour in a line, more than an hour!

Long queues at EES immigration areas for non-EU passport holders. Does each passenger need to register at the kiosk instead of online? This is an inefficient way to register. I've noticed that only a few counters. It should have been a smooth exit, knowing that we came to this country as visitors. It's so inefficient as a first-world country.
Geen mobiliteits assistentie
ter info onze ervaring met Schiphol-assistentie.
Op zondag 12 april zijn we met vlucht HV6558 geland op Schiphol. I.v.m. slechte mobiliteit hadden we vooraf via reisbureau Sunweb assistentie op schiphol aangevraagd
Bij aankomst op Schiphol was men niet op de hoogte van ons assistentieverzoek.
De assistentiemedewerker die bij het vliegtuig stond, wachtte op een andere hulpbehoevende en heeft ons verzoek direct doorgegeven en we moesten op de gang wachten op hulp.
Die kwam NIET. Uiteindelijk zijn we maar gaan lopen/strompelen richting de bagagebanden. De douane-medewerkers waren ook al weg, maar 1 beambte heeft onze passen handmatig gescand en konden we via het douanekantoor doorlopen naar de bagagebanden. Helemaal kapot aangekomen. Diep triest. Schiphol heeft ons volledig in de kou laten staan. Ik heb deze ervaring ook gedeeld met Sunweb, want die treft geen blaam.
Truly awful
Truly awful. Took more than 2hours queuing at passport control so missed connecting flight, along with dozens of other people. No organisation, no communication, no level of concern. Awful.
Een slecht gecoördineerde janboel en een schande voor Nederland
Wat een onvoorstelbare chaos. Paar voorbeelden:
Na landing vanuit Toulouse vervoerd met een paar Chinese bussen. Hoeveel producenten van bussen hebben we wel niet in Nederland en in Europa? Drie van die bussen komen tegelijk aan bij de terminal. Daar staan al 100 à 150 mensen met hun rolkoffertjes te dringen voor zo'n achterlijke ééndeurs draaideur die steeds vastloopt als je er te dichtbij komt. Een aantal mensen is vreselijk gestresst omdat ze een connecting flight moeten halen. In deze draaideurdoorgang met zijn er twee achter elkaar. Eigenlijk zijn er twee doorgangen, maar er is er één gesloten, want defect. Na een tijdje zicht op deuren die iedere paar seconden stoppen besluit een dappere Fransman onder de kreet 'putain' om de deuren een enorme rotschop te geven waarna ze in de stand 'half twaalf' vastlopen en de menigte in no-time door kan lopen. Welke incompetente malloot in de 'organisatie' van Schiphol laat dit gebeuren?
Dan het vertrek voor de retourvlucht naar Toulouse. Opnieuw een soort derde wereldorganisatie bij de gate (die overigens tijdens het wachten weer eens wijzigt) Ik heb van alles voorbij zien komen aan managementincompetentie. Een slecht ter been zijnde passagier, die op een bepaald moment 5 medewerkers om hem heen had staan om hem in een rolstoel te duwen, terwijl hij bleef uitleggen dat hij best een klein eindje kon lopen. Maar dan dit voorbeeld: de passagiers worden in 'zones' uitgenodigd om de gate te passeren, om zodoende het vliegtuig van voor naar achter te vullen. Dat is logistiek gezien toch al niet de beste aanpak, want zo duurt het boarden het langst, namelijk. Maar nadat passagiers na heel veel gedrang, pogingen om voor te dringen en ander menselijk gedrag, naar gelang hun indeling in zone 1 (business class) zone 2 etc. de gate passeren, wachten er weer Chinese bussen en....staat iedereen weer door elkaar in dezelfde bus. Wie verzint dit?
Ik zou een boek kunnen schrijven over wat je allemaal aan chaotische wantoestanden ziet op onze 'nationale trots', maar daar is hier de ruimte niet voor. Het is misschien vreemd en wat misplaatst, maar ik schaamde me als Nederlander gewoon voor deze krankzinnige janboel.
Leider keine internationale Klasse an der Passkontrolle
Auch ich muss mich über die lange Passkontrolle beschweren. Das ist wirklich ein 5-! Dienstleister Gedanke 0.
Personal vor Ort ist bemüht, aber das Management muss hier dringend eine Lösung finden.
Connecting flight malaga- schipol-…
Hard to believe that this airport belongs to one of the most developed countries when the infrastructure, facililties and the attitudes of some personals working at this airport will make you feel like you have flown right back in the 90s in the third world.
Arrived terminal 1 with 3 hrs layover.. without the possibility of having checking in online and hence no boarding pass. No help counters, just staffs boarding their passengers not assigned to help in need.
Had the worse experience when an incompetent staffs at gate belittled and disrespect to such an extent thay me thai felt violated and traumatized by the whole episode..
At this old congested and confusing terminal ,one has to walk several stairs down to the toilet and no elevator on sight! Inconvenience is an understatement for disabled people.
Food selection was limited and shockingly expensive even for us from Norway! with no free drinking water available . Cheapest water is 5 euro and you can just imagine the amount spent on water while on transit . No decent meals.
Limited seating place where one one can charge devices.
I can say I will not be traveling nor transiting at schipol any time soon in the future.

From landing it took just over 3 hours to get out of the airport. Non EU passport - the biometric system queue was a joke and non moving - passport control was a joke - herded in and the slowest moving queue I’ve seen. We landed at 10am and were in a taxi at 1.30 - stressful and hot and no options for water - no information at all - no announcements regarding the wait……. Would definitely put me off visiting again.

Horrendous 2.5 hour queue when we arrived at passport control. Chaotic and disorganised with some people missing connections. Really bad for an international airport of this size.
Alle sind langsam zu spät oder einfach…
Alle sind langsam zu spät oder einfach zu dumm um ihre Aufgabe zu machen (wir kamen 10 Minuten zu spät wegen einem fehlenden KLM pilotes dan brauchten wir 30 Minuten um aus dieser sadinenbox raus zu dürfen 10 Minuten um mit dem buss überhaupt mahl in den Flughafen zu kommen sprinten Fan durch diesen decksplatz nur um zu erfahren das dieser Flug auch wegen einem bekannten KLM Piloten verspätet ist.

Je trouve incroyable qu'un aeroport soit aussi grand, qu'il n'y ait aucun endroit pour les fumeurs nous faisons des efforts mais en attendant avec une escale de plus de 3 h je trouve absurde mais également tres irrespectueux envers nous les fumeurs. En sachant qu'il ne manque pas de place pour faire une terrasse
