Excellent product and service. We would recommend both SHS and the fitter.

Our balustrade supplied early in 2019 is of the highest quality and is often a talking point with our visitors using the mezzanine. A recent after sales enquiry was handled with excellent efficiency and courtesy by Katy. Would highly recommend this company.

We ordered the frameless glass balustrade. The process was simple and you get chance to check your dimensions and designs. Please be aware that the internal base U sections also have small drainage holes that aren't shown on the drawings and are hidden by the protective cellophane. The balustrades were a few weeks late due to Covid so I accept this. There was an imperfection on one of glazing panels but it were replaced. Jo in Customer Services was brilliant and turned the whole customer experience around. Thanks Jo.
The delivery was very good and the end result looks amazing.
In the end, SHS turned it around and I'm sure some of it was probably down to the pandemic.
Would I recommend them? Yes, I would but as always, keep getting updates which they're happy to give.

Great customer experience throughout. Very helpful advice and guidance regarding measuring and advice from photos of our ‘site’. Delivered on time. Even our fitter asked where we had purchased it from - he’s fitted plenty and was very impressed by the quality and finish! Great value for money and looks even better than we had hoped. Would happily recommend.

Right from our initial contact with SHS Products, nothing was too much trouble. We found them friendly and conscientious, who listened to our requirements. We were shown examples of their different products and quoted us on the various options.

We chose to have a site survey first to confirm our ideas would work. They submitted design drawings from which we gave them the go-ahead.

The order was delivered on time and installed by their team. We are absolutely delighted with the quality, delighted with the care and attention to detail during installation and delighted with the finished look.

We would have no hesitation in recommending SHS Products and would use them again in the future.

My experience was by no means perfect. My customer gave me a strict deadline for his 50th birthday party which we would have missed by 6 weeks. Fortunately it was cancelled due to Covid and no harm done. I suppose attempting this project with a deadline when most materials come from abroad was a mistake on my part. Mid pandemic!
The people at SHS are all very helpful and while I felt I was being strung along a bit (they were waiting for a boat) I can understand why. All of the staff there had an air of confidence about the product I had brought (wire rope system). When I received delivery and installed the handrail I understood why. If looks fantastic my very fussy customer could not find fault. A couple of parts were missing which after a phone call arrived at my house next day. The cost was 30% cheaper than the next nearest quote. I would definitely recommend this company although I was told 5-6 weeks and it took 12 hence the 4 stars.

So so pleased with my balustrade, lovely staff , not bias but have never seen one around that looks as good as mine all thanks to SHS..Isabel

SHS Balustrades And Glass try hard but at the end of the day, were just terrible to deal with. I had to chase them at every single step of the way. Over 60 emails and multiple phone calls for one single balcony. It was relentless and draining because of the constant mistakes.
I’d love to leave a good review but I could write pages of what happened - calls and emails ignored, multiple assurances reneged on, wrong items delivered (!!), tools missing, incorrect information given, glass panels with nothing to fix with… I even had to contact their supplier in the end, who, as you can imagine, was not impressed.
One member of staff actually laughed at me and told me I was one of the lucky ones!! Talk about insulting when it takes weeks on end to get your balcony and are so out of pocket due to the constant false promises given. I lost loads in the end.
I’m sure someone will write something clever below and try and blame anything but themselves for what happened. Yes, I understand that Covid has made things tough, but that does not excuse ignoring customers for days and days, whilst making ridiculous simple mistakes that cost us time and money.
It seems others are quite happy with SHS, but everybody here was furious at this company’s actions by the end of it, but... lesson learnt. Never again will I trust the internet for such an expensive investment, because you have absolutely no control over what happens.

Update to the below response - so you can't find the emails and people I spoke to can't remember... "we don't have any record of your calls".

Excellent quality product, we ordered the Elegance balustrade system which I fit myself, we’d highly recommend this company.

Just completed my installation of a wire rope balustrade - looks really great. A complex job on a bridge river crossing with two flights of steps. The technical design work was excellent, the quality of the materials supplied was first rate and the helpfulness of the customer support staff much appreciated.

We found this company so easy to work with, just speaking to them after seeing their website gave us the confidence to order the balustrade. The product was delivered within the time frame and all in good order.
There was always someone to speak to on the phone with positive answers.
The finished product looks and feels quality and we would have no hesitation in using them again.

Great service. We are pleased we used SHS for our stainless and glass balustrade. Bev kept us 'in the loop' despite COVID-19 delays. Charl, the installation contractor, did an excellent job putting it all up in 1 day. It sets off our raised patio brilliantly and side mounting the posts makes the patio seem larger! 👍
