Cleethorpes branch of Tesco Extra, is a very large and busy supermarket, with great and friendly staff, but the one big problem both my wife and I experience a lot, is the fact that certain ''Free From'' products, are not always available, and some new ones in this category appear, disappear off the shelves, never to be seen again. It's a regular and annoying thing, especially as my wife can only consume these types of foods, due to her suffering with a dreaded thing called IBS!
For example, 'free from' Cornnetto cones which haven't been seen for a long time, even though there is now a permanent section, integrated with all chilled and frozen products.
This sort of thing happens with several other 'ordinary' products too, and not just from the 'free from' section.
This supermarket has just had a massive refit, and everything, just about, has it's place in the store, with signs informing customers where items are!
From a reliable source, I have heard that this store, is one of the leading branches in the UK, with revenue rising to a six figure, on a regular basis, so you would think it would perform better, when it comes to Merchandising, don't you think? I rest my case......................

A black woman was walking around Tesco's in Hampton Peterborough with two dogs ,no trolley,just a bag. Everyone was looking at her except security,she was not approached. , possibly shoplifting. People are also allowed to shop in there bed clothes. Puts into question the hygiene of the stores.

I purchased 2 items that were priced as clubcard but after looking at my receipt I had been charged full price, apparently it hadn’t shown up on the tills as clubcard
I was also charged twice for one item
Tesco did resolve it but if I hadn’t checked my receipt I would have been none the wiser

Tesco supermarket is like a breath of fresh air in our dreary old market town. We don't have to wait long in the check-out queue, which is pretty much, always a pleasant place to be. There are two other well known supermarkets in the town, one of which, we get the impression that customers are all too much bother. I am glad to see the Tesco supermarket here, it certainly puts a bit of cheer into an otherwise dreary town.

Regular visitors to Tesco Superstore at Sheldon.
On this occasion my husband wanted a bottle of brandy that was on offer. The shelf was empty. This has happened on several occasions before but staff have just said no stock.
On this occasion we approached a member of staff called Tink . He was so helpful from the beginning. He checked and said there should be some in stock. He went off to locate the brandy. He popped back to say sorry for the wait but he needed to find the key and would be back asap.
TInk arrived with the brandy. He went over and above and a credit to Tesco .

I developed an excruciating pain inmy knee during my shopping trip and asked for help from an assistant. She called somebody from 'Paige' who brought me a wheelchair. tThe young lady wo came to help was very kind and helpful and did her best to try to sort me out. I decided to take a couple of paracetemols and she brought me some water. We discussed various options
and after a while the pain began to wear off. A young man came to help and the young lady wheeled me to my car and the young man brought my shopping.
Please somehow show them my appreciation.

As regards to ther store no problem
The cafe the staff are polite and helpful
Who decides what customers want
I visit the cafe regularly
Not happy as the bosses have taken off a lot food items that a lot of people enjoy
Not every one wants meals
Some prefer bacon cobs
Sausage cobs waffles with bacon
And maple syrup
And many more can we have them back on menu think of your customers views

I went to Tesco, Brickhill Drive, Bedford today for washing pods, to be told they are now behind the counter, so I couldn’t compare prices and select what I wanted. This is supposedly a store for convenience, higher priced from main stores, also big queue at counter, so didn’t get my purchase. Staff just laughed!

Tesco have been a godsend to me being disabled and doing deliveries and i have availed myself of this since COVID and they have never let me down. However, figures show huge profits yet they are slow to replace infrastructure. It was about 3 years during which freezers broke down in the store every summer and the only way to get ice cream was to get someone to go through to the back of the store, eventually there was a refit, now it seems they are reluctant to replace cheaply bought delivery vans. My delivery was cancelled at very short notice on Sunday because there was no transport. A ham sandwich for Sunday lunch just doesnt cut it. There seems to be a disconnect between profits and customer care to me. I hope its not 3 years before they replace their vans.

I went to the phone shop in tesco saw the phone he explained the deal then said they don't set the phone up uses too much data he said. Sorry but that is rubbish called in several other phone shop's and they all set them up. Very poor on tesco I say

I was initially served by Aidan in the pharmacy who was extremely kind and helpful looking up products to help my condition. Due to other medication I take I wasn't able to take them. So he arranged for the pharmacist to see me. Neil the pharmacist took time to treat me in a separate room and was very thorough and caring. I was given antibiotics and am so grateful to them both as I was on holiday and fell ill on Mothering Sunday so it avoided me having to go to A&E. Excellent service! Thank you so much.

BE VERY CAREFUL ABOUT CAR PARK DURING YOUR SHOPPING

Very disappointing experience at the Tesco in Braintree Town Centre.

The car park clearly states 2 hours free stay. In February 2026, My entry time was 09:54 and exit was 11:21 — well within the 2-hour limit. Despite this, I received a £40 parking charge from Horizon Parking.

When I went to customer service at Tesco, I was told that after shopping I should have scanned a code from the receipt at a machine to validate parking. This was never made clear when entering the car park, and the signage only mentions 2 hours free stay — not that customers must complete an additional validation process.

The staff simply said “sorry” and told me to pay the penalty.

This feels extremely misleading and unfair to customers who are genuinely shopping in-store. Be very careful when parking here — make sure you ask about receipt validation or you may receive a parking charge even if you stay under 2 hours.

Very disappointing treatment of regular customers.

Never ever again on this branch for me

As a visually impaired shopper at the Dunfermline fire station branch of Tesco, this branch stands out from any other supermarket the on board staff are extremely helpful. I also take great pleasure in complimenting the staff at the wee cafe too. In my sincere opinion this particular store would receive 11 out of 10.

Tescos Tetbury. 23.2.26 around 11am. 1st time used store asked staff to help at conveyor self check out, 2 staff very reluctant to help. One came over I asked her a question and she just walked off without answering! Called her back to asked same question and she walked off again. I was just an inconvenience to her. 2nd staff was just chatting ++ to a friend. Very very poor service.

Tesco at Drayton Norwich, Norfolk- staff extremely rude, demonstrate very little patience or understanding. The two girls on opposite checkouts were berating the company for other colleagues not being employed. My advice AVOID

Hello. I was in my local Tesco express. I had money. As usual Racism, 2026 (gone had it yeah) Now if I had been approached non aggressive maybe my reaction would have been different. Told me he was "goin in my bag" HELL NO. Called over more like they were goin 2 jump me WTF. I let them know I was wearing body cam RIGHT. I will put on YouTube 4 you 2 SEE me do NOTHING WRONG. How they i'll fly to abused their power. Unaware former security officer. YEAH. U can do nothing. 1st you are supposed to de escalate a situation. Not escalate it. I feel uncomfortable like he was trying to bully me. Now not important to anyone but my. My brother sudden DEATH, reminds me of my brothers murder back in 2008, we haven't even had the funeral yet. So I'm not in a good place. I feel worse than I did before. If I not here I hope you feel bad about it. What happened to kindness. I will post on YOUTUBE. I've been a Tesco customer for 50 years.
I always scan as I shop so I don't have to pack twice. Today, I was selected for a scan check. The assistant (loose use of the word) gleefully tells me its 40 items to scan. Half my shop. He picks my 40 items out of my bags, scans and puts my 40 items across 2 tills and on various surfaces til he finishes the check. He puts the scanner back and walks away, telling me to re pack the shopping myself. Thats not his job. He was rude, abrasive and couldnt care less. I'd suggest hes anything but in keeping with your mantra 'every little helps'. I have photos of my shopping left out of bags and the long queue of angry customers as I took up 2 tills for much longer than I ever needed to. I wont be returning to shop in your stores. If I could you'd have got zero stars.

Why give vouchers for items that aren't available on shelves what a con to get people back into store

I bought gift cards from Tesco just before Christmas. On activating them they said they had already been redeemed. Tesco were no help, kept said me back and forth to the retailer, who were also unhelpful. Basically I've lost my money. Please do not buy gift cards from Tesco.
