Detained in store as accused of stealing by security

My Wife and I have been Loyal Shoppers at your Tesco Borehamwood store in Shenley Road for over 50 Years today 4th October at 14.25 we was stopped by your Security Guard as the alarm sounded I explained I had a Triple Heart bye Pass operation and I have metal in my body it always goes off when I enter and leave the stores he ask to see my receipt which i showed him and started to look in my shopping bags he then accused me of stealing and took my wife and I over to the self service section and called a member of staff he was very aggressive I complied all the time as I knew we had done nothing wrong after waiting about 20 mins a lady named Donna who I insisted she check our shopping everything was correct apart from one item which was a clearance item that was in a Red clearance bag which was a pack of grapes reduced from £2.40 to £1.25 Donna apologised and admitted it was not our fault I said we have been detained for over an hour for no reason and asked for compensation as we was very embarrassed people walking past and looking at us being searched Donna went away and said she will speak to someone after a while she came back with Jess who said not willing to compensate I then asked to speak to the Store Manager who I was told he was in a meeting and could not be disturbed I told them will never use this store again and I then demanded for a full refund of our shopping as not willing to spend any monies in this store due to your so called Security Guard who accused us of stealing in this disgusting manner we were treated

If you were going to visit Tesco’s extra Barnstable be very aware of going there twice in one day, I went in the morning and filled up with fuel. Went in the evening and picked up a snack on the way home. Just received a ticket for £70 for parking for seven hours, the people who look after the car park horizon parking, are scammers and Tesco’s must be an in on the scam, because they receive a lot of the money they will collect.. EVER LITTLE HELPS

Is it just me or are other shoppers sick and tired of empty shelves and favourite products simply disappearing. I know earlier in the year there was a problem with fresh fruit and vegetables which wasn’t Tesco’s fault. However, what’s happening now is worse because it’s almost every product and this time I do blame Tesco. Doesn’t matter what time of day I go in it’s a challenge trying to source the products on my shopping list and more often than not I have to find substitutes I don’t like as much. Staff always seem busy filling shelves but it doesn’t make sense as the shelves don’t seem to get any fuller. It isn’t just groceries either, cleaning products I once bought on a regular basis are no longer available. Don’t even get me going about Tesco finest ready meals which seem to be chicken, chicken and more chicken. Chicken is seemingly the only food item which is not in short supply at Tesco. It dominates the fresh meat isles with hardly any choice when it comes to beef, pork or lamb. Vegans don’t do much better either as there is little choice of plant based products and ironically most are ones which are supposed to taste like chicken! What is it with Tesco and chicken ? Going to Tesco these days is like visiting a supermarket behind the iron curtain back in the 70’s - you take what there is or go without. It’s getting beyond a joke and sadly in our town it’s the only large supermarket so we are at Tesco’s mercy and forced to eat chicken🤣

Purchased underwear at Tesco Southport and no changing rooms so took it home to try it on. One lot did not fit so returned it and was told they don’t refund but when I asked where notice was the girls behind customer services said there is a notice but it’s not easy to find. Huge walk of underwear so I went to look but couldn’t find it so asked to speak to duty manager who when she came struggled to find one. Eventually she found one 3 inch by 3 inch end of row notice which was lobsided - I asked is she was joking - she just shrugged and said well there is one! My reply was so you are willing to lose a customer for £10!and she shrugged again! That was June and I went in to collect an item from pharmacy and guess what - still the one lobsided notice on a huge wall of underwear. Well done Tesco for £10; poor signage you lost a customer who spent on average £100 per week plus clothes etc - will never shop there again. A shrug from a manager - poor customer service!!

Main Store at Truro. Not enough till manned, Self service queueing as a result, not enough staff there to help. Self service till kept needing member of staff due to malfunctioning, Lots of normal groceries looked for and not stocked even though on web says they are, staff not very helpful when asked if they stock products, seems badly managed!! Overall very disappointing grocery shop and I won't be returning to that particular store ever again. No real help around.

Tesco supermarkets may be the number one supermarket in size,as for customer satisfaction they are rubbish.Their home delivery is going downhill fast, what supermarket tells you on your online order one week, no semi skimmed milk, out of stock,two weeks later, no sugar, these are basic ingredients. Today i have noticed on the top of order, home delivery charges are rising from £4:50 to £5:00 and minimum spend is £50:00,years past it used to be free delivery if you spent a certain amount. Tesco have got to big,if Lidl and Aldi did home delivery, your days would be numbered, another problem today,i chose my slot,did my shopping, which shot to over £70:00 a huge jump from last week, went to use my vouchers i had saved, would not accept them,so cancelled my order,i am done with Tesco, the only good part of your business is Tesco mobile.

Cannot afford to shop here any more , prices are getting out of hand 4.50 for gravy granules but iceland 3.00 ok . Chicken portions 2.10 today 2.60. Weight watcher meals 2.00 now 2.50 and suet well 3.00. Will have to go to lidl and aldi as cheaper and overall a better shopping experience.

I use my local Tesco store in faversham after work every evening. Every time I shop there and go to the check outs the staff are just so chatty and I love it. Im always asked about my day or conversation is made over the things I brought. There are a few younger staff members who are great at customer service. I honestly shop there for the service I receive so thank you Tesco faversham

Chicago town pizza chicken & bacon Melt tomato stuffed crust is now my favourite
I don’t like pepperoni as much as I used to & this is my favourite.
Bramley Apple pies are much better than mr Kipling I’ve given up with some of there products. My mum agrees that tescos own brand is much better.
The bananas are nice & buy them every time now. Fresh & tasty very enjoyable.
Medium free range eggs are very nice with warburtons rolls.
I like the tescos brand a lot & thinks it’s good quality I would definitely spread the word & recommend it.
I tried a selection of the drinks cream soda , diet lemonade , lemon & lime & shandy They weren’t as good & wont be bothering again. I wouldn’t recommend them.

I popped into my local Tesco at rubery Birmingham for the first time since they stupidly closed it as a jacks which was a great store, the store was freezing cold as the heating was broken but the air con was on making it worse, the store should have been heaving with customers as it was a week before Christmas but it was empty. after quickly walking around the store i noticed 2 prices on most items, clubcard price {which is the normal price at asda morrissons and sainsburys} and a higher regular price for those customers that choose not to be part of their club. i cannot believe trading standards are allowing them 2 prices on the same items which i know used to be illegal. interestingly as i said this store was changed to a jacks and as soon as it went back to a tesco the prices went up massively and i could not believe how they could get it so wrong after doing a great job as jacks. and with a large farmfoods next door closing jacks has given them their customers back, so tesco you need to bring those prices down for everyone to jacks prices and stop double pricing items as they should be the same for everyone.

Not had a bad experience yet in this store. Yellow label sticker food could be much cheaper. Mind you in the evening but overall stock is consistent

Hi,I love my Tesco app last nite I did my food supplies online in less then ten minutes and it's so easy to pay

Have to say the customer service at Tesco Cleckheaton has become deplorable Even to the point that when you mention something is wrong to the staff they smile as if well you are at Tesco's personally will be glad when the planners allow another supermarket into the area, they have go so complaisant because there is no competition. They do not know what is going on the health and safety is a joke. Doorways blocked won't allow 2 in at a time, so can't get out in an emergency. Petrol station opens 30 minutes after a wagon has unloaded and a customer has to tell them he has gone because they don't even know he's there. You used to have to have a fire marshal there just in case and to open the garage in a safe manner. Not Tesco they above health and safety laws and customer service.

Most Of The Night Staff Dont Know The Basics Of Customer Service.
They Very Rarely Say Please Or Thank You Or Look Like They Want To Be There And Also It's Very Expensive

My son uses NRG Gym in Stretford which is on top of Tesco He always goes gym at 9 pm , you can use Tesco carpark Stretford Manchester .It’s says free car park 3 hours on there website . But on Mtach days it’s only 90 minutes. .This is not clear on the gym website and .Tesco are fining people who stay over 90 minutes on match days . This is unfair,my son spends at least 2 hours in the gym. Why should he have to change his times when it’s a match day . Tesco need to give special passes to the gym members. My son got fined twice .Two fines came today He did not know about this match day nonsense . Sort this out Tesco.I want you to remove this fine for my son .He is at uni and having to waste money on fines just because a match is on. I hope you will sort this and do something so no more fines are issued because of this reason for the gym members. The NRG gym manager said he will sort it out for my son. That’s kind of him . Well done NRG gym .Since no one at Tesco bothers to get back to me .They bought the fine down to £15 per ticket . My son o ok aid it . Still unfair when using facilities. And have to pay a fine

Had some US dollars to exchange some $100 dollar bills included. However Tescosouthend said they couldn’t take $100 dollar bills. Are they a currency exchange bureau or not.

Popped into Tesco's only to find out there is a special rip off price if you don't have a club card. Sainsburys from now on then.

Went to tescos in Blackpool as it has a currency exchange and I had quite a few euros left from my holiday. Got there at 9.30am. Man in currency booth said opens at 10am. No problems. Came back at about 9.55. A mother and daughter already at booth. Man inside, clearly annoyed at them said we open at ten, doesn't matter if you get here early. Daughter says I shall go shopping and come back after. Totally ignored by man. I waited. Ten am comes round. He switches sign to open. Doesn't look at me, just gives big sign and stares at my hand (where my euros were). No greeting at all. I said I would like to excesome left over euros from holiday. He said how much, I said 80 euros. Another big sigh, did the exchange calculation and said that will be £60.. I said OK. I asked if more favourable rate as I'm a tescos bank customer and all I got was another big sigh and he said you lose 20%who ever you are.. So I gave him euros, he counted out cash and gave it to me. I thanked him, he ignored the thanks, didn't say a word and just stared at next person in queue, not saying a word until that person asked for euros. He said how much.. At that point I was walking away.. I appreciate all jobs can be stressful and/or we have bad days, but to make me feel I was annoying him, just by being there was not great.. Needs some customer service training on how to be polite. Not that it makes a difference to tescos but won't use again purely based on employees attitude.
