They took £47.94 on the 13/05/2025 for free delivery service, but i never used the service. Today i phoned them to cancel and have the £47.94 returned as i never used the service. The declined the refund as i was past the cooling off period. But when they wanted to sell their product there was no mention of this cooling off period. I had to give them 1 star as there was no 0 star!
Customer Complaint
Today (8th May at 10:30am), I was using the self service in Tesco Milngavie, I put through a bottle of wine and it then had to be approved, as the employee who was supervising this area was passing, I asked her to approve it but she refused saying she will get it at the end (although other employees always approve it immediately) and then literally grabbed my trolley out of my hand and told me to put it in the correct place, When I was finished I had to wait for a few minutes for her to come over to approve my purchase and I was glared at before she stormed off. I am not at all happy with her conduct or that Tesco do not appear to answer phone calls. A very unsatisfactory visit.
Lost Wallet Return
I was shopping in Tesco Transit Way on Friday the 21/03/25.
I inadvertently dropped my wallet by the produce section and unaware of this carried on shopping.
I realized it was missing when I got to the basket checkout and after having run back to my car to check it , I returned to the store to find that a Tesco employee called Ahmed had handed it in to the Security and customer service desk.
I would like to thank Ahmed for this especially as he was unable to accept any reward (Tesco Policy) If it had been lost it would have caused a major disruption for me
Thanks again to Ahmed
Awesome staff
Can't thank the young lady ( Kate) at Tesco Berwick upon Tweed high enough, her kindness was great .
We had a trolley load of food ,got to the till only to find we'd left the credit card at home, she very kindly put the trolley through the back & had it ready on our return.
All the staff at Tesco ( Berwick) are helpful & friendly
Launceston Tesco- AVOID AT ALL COST
AVOID AT ALL COST! Worst place to do your shopping in Launceston. Didn’t sell me a bottle of wine cause my 19 year old who was with me didn’t have ID on her. I dropped her off at home, came back couple hours later and they still didn’t sell it to me, because EARLIER THAT DAY I WAS SEEN with someone who looked like a minor!!!! This is getting ridiculous! HORRIBLE, IMPOLITE AND INCOMPETENT STAFF. Natalie and her friend “Karen” on the till. Making no more than national minimum wage thinking they’ve got some kind of power 🤣 Some people just need a life 🤣
Wanted to call me the manager. No thanks, I’m going to handle this another way.
Not shopping here ever again.
I will be spending my money in Lidl. At least the staff is nicer and the prices much lower.
So cold and has been for weeks
I am about to go to Tesco superstore at Sidcup and i am dreading it. Every Monday we go and for the past 6 or 7 weeks its been to this particular branch. Its a great store apart from one major problem... its so cold. The first week we went there and enquired why it was so cold we were informed that the heating was broken. Is it still broken? No one seems to know but it is warmer outside than in that store. I have been searching for the managers name and a way of contacting them to no avail so i can enquire about it. If you want to freeze your butt off this is the store for you (it is really, really cold).
Horsham Tesco
Horsham Tesco. What a joke. They are a shambles. It's colder in the store than outside, shelf labels are abysmal and cannot complain about customer services as there is none.
Shrewsbury store disgrace.
I appreciate that it is Christmas and everywhere and everyone is very busy. But this Shrewsbury branch was shambolic in terms of finding a trolley of any kind (23/12/24). I was shopping with my daughter, five-year-old granddaughter and my five month old granddaughter. I had to follow a previous customer across the car park in order to avail myself of a trolley when she had finished unloading. In doing so I passed a gentleman employee, who, I believe was employed to collect 'vacant' trolleys and return them to the bays in front of the store. I overheard him talking to customers and moaning about the people who arrive late on Christmas Eve ??? It's no wonder that you've got such poor reviews. I'm sure that trolleys are expensive, but not to have sufficient on site to cover the Pre-Christmas demand, does your reputation no good at all. PROFIT BEFORE PEOPLE.
TESCO EXTRA SHREWSBURY - DISABLED TOILET
My wife and I called into Tesco Extra, Shrewsbury for some shopping on 5 Nov. While there my wife had to use their toilets. When exiting the toilets she was distressed to see an elderly gentleman on a mobility scooter struggling to get into the male toilets which were totally unsuitable for the gentleman to use. Thankfully there were some men there to help him. She went to find a customer service representative to find out why there was not toilet for disabled people who informed her that there was. Only problem was that it was at the end of the corridor, it was not signed and a key was required for entry. That is appalling when you think of the challenges of a person in a mobility scooter taking longer than normal now has to find out through a third party that there is actually a toilet for the disabled and not only that, but they have to go get a key from customer service where they may well have to wait in a queue. This should not happen in this day and age. Its needs sorting out.
TESCO BALHAM is 24hrs
TESCO BALHAM is 24hrs, I went to Tescos at 2.35am and was picking up bits, meanwhile I spotted someone stealing so went to the tills to let them know, b4 I could do that they(the staff) had locked my screen, so I'm asking them to unlock it but as I was talking through the glass the man thought I was yelling ar him, I'm then trying to difuse that to let him know someone is stealing but he said he didn't care about that....then as I leave the store, after spending £30 plus quid, the staff outside, sweeping grabbed me aggressively and accuses me of STEALING, pulling and yanking my bag....DISGUSTING SERVICE THE STORE WAS A MESS NO MANNERS FROM ANY STAFF
DISGUSTING
Shopping in Tescos Hexham branch isn’t…
Shopping in Tescos Hexham branch isn’t a good experience. Much of the sign posting is non existent, I am elderly and more than once I have given up, it is too tiring trying to find the goods that you would like to buy. Seems as if items are constantly being moved around the store without rhyme or reason. At one time if there was a queue another cash desk would be opened, that doesn’t seem to happen now. I’m wondering if it’s part of the plan to go cashless, sicken the customers enough and they will go to self service.

There is a man down my road that is a tesco worker driver,he is very rude ,he has a go at disabled neighbours , felt like I had to report as he wearing his uniform which makes tescos look bad as a company.
Very poor service
I have just used the Tesco’s cafe (without the accent over the e)) in St Austell, Cornwall. Ordered a cappuccino and asked for heavy on the chocolate sprinkles. She then produced the coffee with only half covered in chocolate, stating that that’s the ways she’s been ‘told’ to present the coffees ordered!!!! So, robotic mentality, with a touch of ‘more than my jobs worth’ attitude. Very disappointing to see that customer service is so low in the company’s priorities.
Tesco Local.
Just been to a tesco store .Bought some items and becaus the sales staff was dealing with a customer who thought he might of had a big lottery win on his cards I had to use one of those rotten self service checkouts. What a joke ,I took my own bag and 4 times I had to seek assistant help because the macine thought there was an unexpected item in bagging area,But because the sales assistant was busy I had to wait .He ever thought thes machines were a good idea should be sacked. I try not to buy drink there as I always have to seek assistance even though I am in my 60's . Get rid of self service it does not work.
Selling stale goods
I just came back from doing a Tescos shop only to find several of the products had only days to expire and on opening the packaging looked and tasted very stale. Mr Kipling Bakewell slices date 10 February, Bromley apples pies 18 February Highly disappointed. Won’t be shopping there again.

unfestive Towcester tescos make you feel like a criminal
buy from tescos almost daily. today went in for a bit of last minute xmas shopping.went to the auto checkouts and asked a lady if i could have a bag. scanned all my items and paid, started to leave when approached by an over zealous man who i assumed was the manager, who started telling me there was a "red light", i had no idea what "jargon"he was talking about. he then started telling me i had not paid for something and started rooting through my bag( making me feel like a criminal in front of a busy store). He said out loud "has he paid for the meat?" holding a lamb joint i had bought. He displayed zero customer empathy, and treating me like a criminal made my blood boil.It transpires it was the bag that i had asked for, and he demanded i pay 30p. i said really ? had no idea you had to pay for them, as i normally bring my own.He wouldnt let me go until i had paid 30p on my debit card. i thought his lack of empathy was appalling over 30p so i asked to speak to the manager.A young girl then appeared who confirmed that yes since about 2 years ago bags had to be paid for. " why was i not told when i asked for one then" i said." oh i assumed you knew" said the lady.i explained to the manager that i could not believe there was all this fuss over a plastic bag and do not they have any discretion,(why had they not told me there was a charge, as there were no signs at all to this effect) particularly at xmas. "no"! said the manager, they have no discretion, which is pathetic for a retail manager. "every little helps they say"well it certainly does where TESCO profits are concerned
Harassed by security staff
After a while in store and a long wait at the checkout I needed the toilet so I walked back through the gates with my shopping and used the toilets near the entrance. When I went to leave I couldn't get out because the small gate that allows you to leave was blocked with stock. The security guard stood and looked at me as I waited for a customer to open a gate so I could get through. The same security guard walked slowly after me. Only after I cleared the security barriers WHICH DID NOT BEEP did he start calling after me making a complete scene. This has happened to me in a tesco before when I went in for one specific thing and it wasn't there. This has only happened in Tescos and is not ok! I now point blank won't shop at Tesco anymore because strangely enough I don't like being treated like a criminal for having the audacity to use the toilet before I leave or leaving without buying anything.
just bought £6.00 worth of grissle, cheers tesco
i've just bought a rump steak and i was horrified that 2/3's of it was uneatable because it was mainly grissle,i could'nt believe it! £6.00 for not even a 1/3'd of meat, and i obviously can't get refund or take as i've cooked it, tesco is getting worse its like when i get my points vouchers through the post, the envolope nicely says heres your £10 worth of vouchers inside butwhen open it all i get is all the vouchers saying 'spend £20 and get £2 off, problem is with that these days i cantafford to spend £20 mostof the so the vouchers are useless so lose, its so unfair, why cant give give me for example, a voucher for say £20 so i can get £20 worth of shopping that'll fairer, its just a total rip off,i dont think i'll be shopping at tesco again, hugely disappointed
Rung customer services
Rung customer services. Explained I had chicken wings that had gone bad before use by date, smelt disgusting without even opening package. In the same week I had an expensive packet of meat which was covered in mould before use by date. Took the agent ages to work through all my receipts to find both items. When he found them he said he would email me a £10 gift receipt. I asked, should I not get a refund for said items and a £10 voucher as a good will gesture for selling a loyal customer bad meat which if eaten would make me very sick. His response was that he couldn’t refund my purchase and I didn’t eat the items so I wasn’t sick. Good to know that they take this seriously and value their customers!
